Theme menu

I just printed out the iMovie HD user manual. The section on page 39 deals with Themes Pane. The graphic on that page has listed in the pop-up menu 'Floating Frames - Black'. The version of iMovie I'm working with (6.0.4) doesn't have have that particular theme available; it just has some travel-related themes similar to those in iDVD. Is this another example of some slimming-down of the 'free' 6.0.4 version? If so, how can I access the Themes that might be available in 6.0.3 but not currently displayed in 6.0.4?

I had a look at the manual, and it does show a Floating Frames theme, but I think it is just a made-up example that is not a real iMovie 6 theme. The only themes with iM6 are these 5: Travel, Reflections black and white, Pass-through, and Road trip.
A review of iM6 from 2006 also says there are only 5 themes: http://www.macworld.com/article/49041/2006/01/firslookimovie.html
I could not find that there are any different themes in 6.0.3 vs 6.0.4. These versions are supposed to be exactly the same; the .0.4 version is a free download for those who purchased iLife 08 and did not have any prior version of iMovie6. .0.3 was the latest update for those with iLife 6.

Start and Theme menu missing in Black

Hello all,
I have a issue with my Lumia 1020 (Black update).... the Start + Theme menu is missing (I do have the Theme menu available). But have tried everything, hard reset, update ... etc.
Its not fixed it.
Also the volume menu (drop down to select volum level for ringtone) is not available.
Cannot find any similar issue on the net.
Please help.

These are Windows Phone 8.1 settings options, they are not part of Nokia Black.

Theme menu appears end the DVD

Can't change the order of theme menu of a IDVD project. I create a slide show and the theme menu always appears the end of project rather than the begining. This seems to have appear since I upgraded to Life06.

Nokia 5800 reboots while opening Themes menu

My 5800xm reboots whenever I try opening Themes menu. I had downloaded a theme from Ovi store and then this started happening. Any suggestions other than a hard reset or reinstalling phone firmware? Thanks in advance....

Try uninstalling that theme.
If that doesn't work, restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
Then, uninstall that theme.
If you face the issue again, then, backup your phone memory using PC Suite and soft reset:
This will clean up your phone memory. All user data, applications etc stored in the phone memory will be destroyed. Bring up the dialer, and type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted; default is 12345.

Theme/menu question?

Greetings.
When I create a new project (revolution theme), and I go to "Add Movie", it adds the movie box and I then drag and drop my movie on that. all is fine.
However, when I click on play (preview) I get my main screen, the click-able movie text and I am able to click on that, but it brings up another window that has "Play Movie" and "View Chapters"
My question is, how do I just get the "play Movie" and "Chapters" as the first window to appear when inserting a DVD to play, instead of having to go through a secondary window? Does this make sense?

Try copying and pasting of the play movie link and the chapter links from their original menu to the main menu. Then delete them and the menu they were in originally. Make a backup copy of the iDVD project beforehand. I've done essentially the same thing in projects.

Imovie to dvd theme-menu exclusions

When I tried to burn a movie from iMovie 11 to iDVD, the first part of the theme introduction was not included. The theme came from the 7 selection. All of the other material burned fine.

It appears that you may have dragged and dropped your movie onto the auto start box in iDVD's Map View. See the grey box in the following image:
Dragging to the grey box in Map View will cause the movie to start as soon as the disc is inserted, bypassing the opening menu in your chosen Theme.
The solution is to drag and drop the movie onto the background area of the Main Menu, being careful not to drop it onto a "Drop Zone" (these zones are reserved for other images that you add, forming part of the Theme structure). The title of your movie will appear, together with a "Play Movie" button and a "Scene Selection" button (if you've inserted Chapters in iMovie).
Hope I haven't misunderstood what you are describing.

GTK Theme Menu Border or Alternative

I've been looking and looking and everything dead-ends with regards to this topic. Does anyone know of a way to put borders on the menu items for gtk themes?
I'm currently using Openbox as my WM and utilizing LXApperance and Openbox Themes for GUI.
Trouble I'm having is there is no way to put a border around the menus in the gtk theme. So all the menus that rely on that theme are showing up white with no border making them terribly difficult to use.
Does anyone have a work around for this or at least a way I can make these menus black with white text?
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

The theme looks promissing!! Seems like FF messes up "hover"-padding in the drop-down menu as well.

Making a slide show like the 'Reflection Black' Theme menu

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to create the look of either the 'reflection black' or 'reflection white' themes from iDVD in a picture sideshow?
I would like to use this "walking through a museum" look for displaying a sideshow, but iDVD only lets you put 8 images into the template, and then it is just a DVD menu, not a DVD movie. I would like to be able to put as many images as I want into the loop, and have it rendered as a DVD movie.
I have talked to apple support and they say that the effect was done using apple script, but I can't find any online references to how one would approach recreating his effect.
If anyone can point me to a technical resource, or another video editing / sideshow creation program that can made DVDs that would be awesome. Is there a way to do this sort of angled and receding sideshow view in final cut or some other high end video editing software?

IDVD 08 Pass Through theme menu errors

in iDVD 08 my menus for pass through are taking pictures from other menus and placing those in the pass through text when it should be just showing the background of the menu it's in. for example, where there is no text on my special features menu is the normal background. but when the text starts scrolling along the bottom, it isn't just see through to the picture behind it; it shows the background the main menu.
anyone having this problem or know how to fix it??

Did you resolve your issue, because I have exactly the same problem?
In iDVD 08 my menus for pass through are taking picture from the first menu I play and placing it in the pass through text when it should be just showing the background of the menu it's in.

I had a crash recently and had to reload everything, and now iWeb is the only program that remains a mess. I no longer have the theme choices I used to, including blank pages - despite repeated reinstalls and upgrades! arrrggghh!! what step am I missing here? I've managed to circumvent most problems using .Mac & iWeb, but I'm constructing more sites using this tool and fear a gliche along the way if I don't get this resolved. PLUS - I refuse to upgrade to 08' until it starts getting better reviews!!!

[SOLVED] PekWM themes - the root menu

Is it possible to remove/change the 'title bar' of the root menu in pekwm? It is currently the same as all of my windows and I'd like it as something else/removed.
Solution: Menus and Windows have different themes, I had them set to the same in the theme file.

How do I keep the Spry menu fixed to the bottom of the header div?

I have created a horizontal Spry menu bar using Dreamweaver CS4 but the problem is, I can't figure out how to make it be in the right position at the bottom of the header div. In Design View it is too far below the header background graphic, in Live View it cuts off the bottom of the header graphic, and it also looks higher or lower in Safari and Firefox.
I'm sure it's very simple, but how can I control them menu on the y-axis and keep the menu fixed to the bottom of the header div? Is there a way to float it to the bottom?
I really appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me on how to get a stationary menu bar.

You need 4 basic things:
jQuery latest core library,
jQuery easing.js,
jQuery anchor.js, inside the <head> of your document
jQuery function code, near the bottom of your document.

Did anyone notice the problem with theme chooser??

Hello all!
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a problem -- I have purchased a bunch of extra themes and now when you click on the theme chooser, it brings up a great little window with ALL of your available themes. However, there are no scroll arrows if you have too many themes!! As such, there are "missing" themes in the chooser, but if you scroll the mouse to the top of the screen, it will change it (although you can't see the one you pick!!). So, they ARE there, but the window for picking them is screwed up.
Any help with this? Apple??

Yeah, and I've been told Apple knows about it.I think the cutoff point is about 60 themes total, then it breaks.
You can still use the actual theme chooser (what you're talking about is the themes menu, not the chooser) to change a theme by using the Choose Theme function from the Edit menu (not the New or New from theme)

IDVD menu buttons missing

When I open the theme menu pages neither the "Play Film" or "Scene Selection" buttons appear. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? I've looked through the basic help pages and David Pogues iMovie&iDVD book. Nada...
Is there any way to add these two buttons? I understand that they're supposed to be on every theme menu page.

You have to add an iMovie HD movie with chapter markers to the main menu to created those. Every Theme menu is empty until you add something.
