Theme music restarts at extro

I'm using the same theme, the Black Reflection in 6, and if I use the stock extro or any of the manually selected transitions the video does what it's supposed to do, but the theme audio audio stops when you click the button, then restarts when the transition starts, then stops again when the selection starts playing. Is there any way I can silence the audio once the button is pushed so that I can use the transitions?
m

Hi all-
I wanted to post that I have solved the problem. My audio starts right on the drop of the track, and the amount that plays at the extro/transition is about one second. I dropped my audio track into Audacity and added 1.5 seconds of silence to the beginning of the track, and now it works fine, and is also less shocking when the DVD first loads.

In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
    Then quit and restart iPhoto.
Credit to user keysandfood who figured that one out.

Problem seems to have started after updating to Mavericks.
Is there a box I need to check/uncheck?
    Any help very welcome!

Pity Apple didn't either warn us or set up a bug fix!

  • My Themes, Music and Settings buttons don't work at all (iPhoto '11)

In my iPhoto '11, my Themes, Music and Settings buttons (shown below on the right side) don't work at all.  When clicking them, nothing happens (no response, no windows open, etc).  The only button that works is the Text Slide button.  I've already rebuilt my library and that didn't work.  Please help!!!

Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

  • HOW DO I USE DEFAULT THEME MUSIC & SAVING

Hello from Italy. My question does concern the default theme music for the travel theme. I realize this is a bit off subject but I am new to this board and can't figure out how to enter a new topic. Perhaps you can help me. I actually would like use that default theme music on my first iDVD. It fits. Can I do that? If so, how? Do I need to save it in iTunes? If so, how can I do that? The other problem I have is that when I try to burn a DVD my eMac goes through the entire process and in the end indicates a "multiplexing problem" so I do not get a DVD. Is there a simple way to save all my work whether or not I actually burn the DVD right now? Right now I lose it all when I shut down for the night. Grazie mille.

I'm assuming that you want the theme music for your slideshoww too, correct?
You can find most of the theme elements inside the theme files. They are in /Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes
Control-click on one of these files and choose "Show Package Contents" Then keep looking inside those folders to find sound files. In the iDVD6 "travel" theme, I think the sound is "TravelAudio.m4a" Darg this into iTunes for use in other iLife projects.
The other problem I have is that when I try to burn a DVD my eMac goes through the entire process and in the end indicates a "multiplexing problem" so I do not get a DVD.
    1) Try to have at least 20GB of free space on your startup drive.
    2) Check your audio settings on the DV tape you used. iDVD needs 16 bit (not 12 bit) audio. Or go go back to iMovie and "extract audio" whcih moves the audio from the video onto a separate track.
    3) Check your chapter markers (CMs) in iMovie - no CM at the beginning, iDVD will add one for you. no CMs within 2 secs of each other or transitions.
    4) Try a different theme - they can be "corrupted" and cause problems.
    5) Fonts - try going to "Font Book" in your applications folder, and resolve duplicate fonts.
Tell us more about your project - how long, how did you make the movies slideshows, etc. Have you ever used iDVD before successfully?

  • Can I use theme music from iPhoto '09 slideshows in iMovie '09?

The Music and Sound Effects browser in iMovie'09 allows me to access sound effects files from iLife and iMovie, as well as music and podcasts from GarageBand and iTunes, but not any of the "Theme Music" available for use with iPhoto slideshows (such as "Linus and Lucy"). Is this possible? If so, how?

The one I'm looking for is Randy Newman's "You've Got a Friend in Me". The iLife "Jingles" are all instrumental.

  • Slide show only plays Theme Music

Using iPhoto 9.5.1 and Mavericks 10.9.4
I made a new slide show and after selecting it and clicking on Music, I have clicked the check box for Play Music during Slideshow.
Theme music plays perfectly.  I can see my iTunes library and select music, but when I select my own music and hit Choose, it either (1) stays on themed music or (2) is silent.  In fact once it is silent, I have to change the Theme in order to get even the Themed music to play.
I would REALLY appreciate some help with this. It is very frustrating!
    Dave

Try choosing the "Custom Playlist' option and drag the audio track into it.  See if that will link that audio track to the slideshow.
Is this a slideshow from an album or from the slideshow mode?

  • How do I get the theme music back?

all of suddenly, the theme music went off.  In all of the themes, can not play the music.
    What can I do?

Then - Problem might be in the pref file.
Easy - Start a new user account - log into this - re-try iDVD and a new project - Menu playing music ?
If so - then the iDVD pref file is corrupted in Your other account - trach this and log in and re-start iDVD.

  • Where is iPhoto theme music located

I am running LION with all items updated. I did install and earlier version of iDVD (v7.1.2). I am trying to find the location of 'THEME MUSIC' from the Slideshow creator in iPhoto. I've searched under all the keywords I can think of, but all the responses lead me the location of the included 'SAMPLE MUSIC', not the THEME. When I go to add music to a slideshow, I am given 4 sources of music:
SAMPLE MUSIC (has a simple folder shown with a listing of songs located in app>content>music
THEME MUSIC (shown with what looks like an old 35mm slide box) This also has a series of songs that will play
GARAGE BAND (has a guitar icon but is empty in my case)
ITUNES (with normal iTunes icon and has all my iTunes music listed)
I search the song names & artist names listed under THEME MUSIC but nothing shows.
Can anyone help with the location of this THEME MUSIC folder/list/database????

    It's located here:
    The files are .m4a files.

  • Adjusting theme music volume in iDVD5?

I've created a couple of videos using FCE HD and placed it in iDVD 5.0.1. I'm using the same music for the beginning of the videos and in the theme menu. Our TV has a "normal" volume range when the setting is between 16-20 on the volume slider.
When the videos are playing the volume is perfect when the TV is at those settings, however the theme music is WAY to loud when going to the menu. I can't seem to find a way to adjust the menu theme music volume in iDVD. Yes I've tried to find it in the iDVD help menu. There only appears to be a speaker icon that turns the music on or off and a volume slider in the preview remote control. Is there a way to do this within iDVD 5? If not, has this feature been added to iDVD 6?

Is there no one who can answer this? Sorry to be pusing by I have a preview of my project in front of a committee tomorrow and would like to fix this if possible. I know I could take the sound file into another app and lower the volume then save it and use that but that isn't very Apple-like. There must be a way to adjust the sound level for the theme music.

  • IMovie theme music

I would like to create a trailer using iMovie for a book I am currently writing.
However I would like to know if I can use the theme music too, I want to use the trailer on my campaign as well as on my FaceBook page.
I do not want any legal cases or have my campaign stopped because of a silly error on my part.

You can use the music and sound effects anywhere you wish.

When I went into Macbook, the music for Sliding Panels is different than iPad's Sliding Panels. I want to use the iPad's version of theme music. Anyway to get it into Macbook? Or is there a name that I could look up the song that used for the iPad?

  • Stop theme music playing with loaded I-tune music

Load my photo's and video and along with the theme and now I want to get rid of the music that is playing with the theme and play only the music I loaded, but the theme music is also playing in the background at a lower pitch.

Does the sound only come on the instant you press the "increase volume" key? (In other words, does it seem like the default "volume up/down" click noise has been replaced by another piece of sound?). To verify, in the Finder's Go menu, locate "Go to Folder", and when prompted, paste in:
    cd /System/Library/LoginPlugins/BezelServices.loginPlugin/Contents/Resources
When the folder opens, scroll to the bottom and look for "volume.aiff". Double-clicking will open it in iTunes and you'll be able to hear if it's the correct "click" sound or something else.
Or, is the sound always there and you just notice it more when you turn the volume up? - In that case, check your Dashboard and make sure there isn't a widget there playing music.

  • Slideshow theme music

How can I turn off the music assigned to slideshow themes.  I would like to have no music in any slideshow theme unless I select it.  Can I do this?
    Thank you.

On an individual basis I know this works but once you try another theme, the music associated with that new theme starts. Yes, I know I can uncheck each time but I do alot of these for various people and this minor annoyance is becoming  most irritating.  They change the theme of the slideshow they originally chose but never their selected music.
I would like to be able to go into the library guts of the Mac and flip the switch on the theme music altogether. No one I deal with has ever choosen the default music?
I'm sorry.  My original question should have been
"How can I permanently turn off the music assigned to slideshow themes."
    Thank you.
