Theme Refuses to Uninstall Even With Nokia PC Suit...

I downloaded a theme from Nokia Suite a few months ago but I can't seem to be able to uninstall it, not even using Nokia PC Suite.
While on Nokia PC Suite, I go to the Application Installer, find the "stubborn theme" and click to erase it. However, despite the bar below shows it's erasing, after finishing, the theme continues there as well as the same amount of available memory. :/
Any ideas?

My appolagies forgot to write down the phone model, it's a Nokia N97.
The "Applications Manager"within the phone shuts down on my face after few seconds and returns to the previous page, the usual lack of memory problem on the N97. I also tried to install the same theme as you suggested already 2 times, but to no available, the theme still refuses to "go away."

  • Could not connect with nokia pc suite

I have one nokia 2690 and in its connectivity option is given nokia pc suite. I installed nokia pc suite 7.1 on pc. But when i tried to connect my phone with usb cable a message from the bottom right corner of the taskbar of pc pops up and says "usb device not recognised" and also "click this balloon to fix this problem". When I clicked on the balloon it opened a window in the first tab of which my usb posts were listed- one was showing HID COMPLIANT MOUSE and the other in which i had connected the phone was showing UNKNOWN DEVICE. The other tab was of DRIVER and it shows No drivers are installed for this device. But I know that windows and nokia pc suite automatically install required drivers. I disconnected cable from my phone and also switched the usb ports but again the same message appeared. I also uninstalled each and everything that nokia pc suite installed on my pc and also the nokia pc suite itself and again reinstalled pc suite but of no help. What would you suggest- is my cable not compatible with my phone(i borrowed it from my friend but it connect to my phone perfectly) or the cable is damaged or nokia pc suite version 7.1 not compatible with nokia 2690 or anything else? Thanks...

  • Can't update C7-00 with Nokia Ovi Suite

    Hello,
When I try to update my C7-00 with Nokia Ovi Suite, I get as far as where it displays the update version and brief description of it, then I click install and a warning pops up saying "don't disconnect your device or it may die" or so and next I get a disconnection!! The connection is re-established right away and the screen says "usb connected", I click next and the same thing repeats, I lose the connection and the screen returns to "usb connected" and repeats and repeats...
I removed all Nokia related things from my PC and reinstalled Ovi Suite, but it didn't help.
I haven't managed to install a single update with Nokia Ovi Suite. Last time I used the phone's built in update function as I encountered this same problem, but I'd really like to use Ovi Suite. What could be wrong?
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-byte)
    Nokia Ovi Suite version: 3.1.1.90
    Phone firmware: 014.002

I ended up using the phone's built in update function – again. Only now after the update things have turned so that I can't sign into my Nokia account with my phone and as a result of that I can't use Ovi Store or Socials-application! Every time the login screen is attempted to open, the phone is stuck loading. I let the phone load over night but nothing happened, battery just went empty (fast). Shutting down the phone, removing battery and restarting again helped briefly, I was able to sign in but the problem came back just as fast and the phone is stuck loading again. I tried removing the battery again, but this time it didn't help. Sorry for off topic. Then back...
Ovi Suite gives an option to reinstall the Anna update if there should be a problem with it, but the same connection problem prevents the reinstallation and my phone doesn't give such an option, so... Although I heared that restoring factory settings might delete the Anna update and if that happens I could reinstall using the phone... Confirmation to this ? (I'm getting a headache with this... Maybe I want an older version back... Such worked...)

I am having problems registering my account with Nokia Ovi Suite.  It is not allowing me to enter my UK mobile number, specifying international format.

  • N97 mini not synching with Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.1.2...

I've had my N97 mini for a few days and I was so hoping that it would be a better experience than the Sony Ericsson I had. Seems not.
Running Win7 32-bit, NOS 2.2.1.23, all software updated on PC and phone, but I just cannot get the phone to sync with the PC. When I connect the phone to the PC with the USB, it does its recognition, and all the Sync button light up and become live. But clicking them does nada.
The strange thing is that it has worked, when I first installed it on the PC.
Also, PC Suite does not start up when I connect the phone to my PC even though I've told PC Suite to start up when the phone is connected. What's going on?
And one last rant... why on earth is there no timed auto-sync facility on PC Suite?? Everytime I want to sync, I have to press buttons. Even my dumb Sony Ericsson software could do that!
    Cheers,
    Mart

    Could you please follow this?
    1. Uninstall Ovi Suite, PC Connectivity solution and Nokia Connectivity cable drivers from Add/remove program if anything is there.
    2. Delete the files from here If anything is there
    C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Nokia\Ovi Suite
    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OviInstallerCache
    3. Please search and download MSI clean up utility from microsoft website
Once installed please select the programs related to Nokia and click remove.
    Restart Computer.
Then download from microsoft website and install Windows Installer, so that the installer is upto date.
    4. Restart the PC

  • Cannot get E63 to to operate with Nokia PC Suite -...

I have a brand new Nokia E63.  I can't get the Nokia PC suite to 'see' it.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled the software - got the most up to date, mad sure I run the Nokia cleaner software to remove all traces, tried the cable drivers, selected the right connection mode on the phone (and tried all the others), got the right  CA-101 USB cable (brand new), and followed all the help screens and files I can find.  In short I have tried every combination I can think of (and I'm handy around a PC), but  the software suite still it can't see the phone when it goes to look for it.   I can't even change the connection mode on the phone to mass storage device and get windows to see it when I plug in the USB connection.  In short I am totally baffled and can't find my micro SD card reader so connecting the phone is my only current option to update my SD card data.  I would certainly welcome some pointers as I can't think of anything else to try and have literally spent hours trying to get it to work.  Absolutely nothing happens when I plug the phone into the PC and this seems so odd - normally windows sees something.  Running Windows XP on a HP Compaq nx 6325 with Zone Alarm virus and firewall in the background if that makes any difference.
If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.
N.B.  Don't discount the option that I have missed something obvious - I know my way around a PC very well, but I'm still a relative novice with a mobile phone, i,e.  can do Predictive Texting - just about, I can get it to download my emails (from two different accounts), hook up to my own wireless network, download apps from OVI via the internet, take a photo, play music once I get it onto the micro SD card etc. but its all still fairly new to me.

ebay or in my case allegro is not the best place to buy original accessories. In my case i knew that the first cable was not genuine but seller said stright that it is ca-101 compatible ... well that was worst spend 3 euros in my case ;-) How ever the second one works but it doesn't look like genuine even that there are nokia signs. Find someone with another phone with ca-101 and you will be sure and not shot on auctions until find original.
How ever e63 is cheapest bussines series phone, and that is why nokia cut 1euro worth cable from the package It is missing logic, becouse most people will try to find cheaper on auctions not in nokia shop. IMHO cutting cable and puttin in the box something that only looks like headphones (but it is great radio antena!) was shot in the feet. Now i have got proper opinion about nokia, switching from SE was not the best idea. SE gave always complete package with better quality.

  • Need help with Nokia PC Suite please

    Moderator, please take notice!
They lack of functionality between Thunderbird contacts and calendar and Ovi Suite is a problem many of us have been monitoring for over 2 years. It looks like still nothing has been done about it. I, for one, cannot believe that so many users have been ignored for so long. To date I still refuse to use Ovi Suite until such time as I can see evidence that will sync contacts and calendar to and from Thunderbird. In addition I see no logical reason why the Ovi Suite developers took a huge step backwards and removed another piece of PC Suite that was already working well, for several years. I am speaking of file sync. Not media files, but others, such as Office type files. The phone can open and read documents, spreadsheets, PDF's and the like. So why can we no longer sync those files? I have been doing this for 6 years, but there are others who have used it for longer than myself. It is a crucially important feature for those of us who need to carry info with us. Since PC Suite can still do the sync, I cannot, in good conscience install Ovi SUite, which I still feel is not yet ready for primetime.
Nokia developers, stop playing games. Some of us have work to do.

  • Nokia N8 will not bluetooth with Nokia PC suite

I have a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and installed the new Nokia PC suite.  Even tho the laptop and phone can be connected via bluetooth the PC suite does not recognize the N8.  It used to connect no problem when using the old OVI suite.  It will connect using a cable but I want to use bluetooth to transfer photos.
Can anyone suggest a way to connect these two via bluetooth please?
By the way the way I think the interface of the new PC suite is not as good as the OVI suite.

Yes, that’s it. Why do you ask?
You do not have the latest software components. This might be the cause; let us double-check:
    Nokia Connectivity/Cable Driver 7.1.182
    Nokia Suite 3.8.48
    PC Suite 7.1.180.94 (optional)
You do not have to uninstall anything, nor follow any particular order. Your versions of these software components are detected automatically and updated if need. However, if you follow the above order, you avoid install-uninstall-install for many components. In WIndows 8.1, the (optional) PC Suite installation must be excuted via a right-click » Windows 7 compatibility.
Did that help? If not, we need that System information again.

  • Phone software updating with Nokia Ovi Suite

    Hi!
I'd like to update my E65 software using Ovi Suite. I know the newest phone software for E65 is 3.0633.69.00  and my phone has 2.0633.65.01 software. The problem is that Ovi Suite still claims that the phone software is up-to-date. Any suggestions!?

First off, Ovi Suite is not currently showing your phone as supported. If it came on a CD with the phone, Nokia may have later determined that there are some compatibility issues. Uninstall it and install Nokia PC Suite.
As to the update, Nokia dose not release the same update in all markets at the same time. North America seems to be the last market they release to. Wherever you are, you may have to wait. Worse, if you bought the phone from your cell service provider, you have to wait until they approve the update. Nokia has no control over that.
If I have helped you with your problem in some way, please take a little time and hit the kudos button in my post. Without your feedback, I don't know if I am being helpful or should just be put out to pasture.

  • I can't connect mu phone with nokia pc suite

when i try to press tab 'get connected' on screen show ''there is no avaible connection type and therefore connection to phone cannot be established.the wizard will exit'' after this show ''failed to detect avalaible connection types, please reinstall your nokia pc suite''
I do that but its same situation?
    help please

This is usually a problem with the Cable drivers.
    You need to:
    - uninstall PC Suite
    - uninstall Cable drivers
    - uninstall NSU
    - (optionally) run the clean up tool
    - (optionally) clean the registry
(if you don't know how to do this, don't try)
    - (optionally) delete all Nokia-related directories from my docs
    - restart the PC
    - download and install PC Suite and NSU
    - when prompted to attach the phone, wait while ALL the drivers are installed (takes a while)
    - restart the PC
There's also a registry fix described somewhere on this forum that may also help.

I tried the option of Repair Sync, but was unable to fix it.

I tried re-installing my device software, which dint help me to fix the problem.
    My device is NOKIAE63.
OS on my System is Windows XP.
    OVI Software version: 3.0.0.290.
    Device software version: 500.21.009

Please help me.
If i was aware of this problem from starting, i never would have choosen NOKIA, instead i would have opted for some other product.

  • Issue with Nokia Ovi Suite!

hi! i have upgraded from nokia 6230i (i used for 6 years) to E7. i have certain problems.
To sync my contacts, photos, calander entries, messages, i had downloaded nokia ovi suite on my PC (Laptop Dell Latitude E6400) and then conected my device via USB. my device showed up on the suite and started charging and i was able to sync every thing. i did this 4 to 5 times. however now when i connect my device to my PC my device does not show up in the ovi suite but my device shows Nokia Ovi Suite- Active! i have not been able to sync via USB since. whenever i connect my device via USB to my PC a dialog box appears on my PC and shows USB device not recognised. i have tried every thing from enabling the device through Device Managar, installing drivers, uninstalling the device, reinstalling the device but the same dialog box appears again when i connect via USB. I am able to sync via Bluetooth my device shows in the Ovi suite but downloading apps, games, songs, software updates etc., cant be done.  Also for charging the device when i connect the charges it takes 4-5 times to show the charging info! and thereafter the device starts charging. I thought there might be a problem with the USB cable but it works fine with my friend's Nokia X2. i have checked the USB ports on my PC but they are also working fine with other things like USB mouse, Modem etc. I know my last resort is to visit customer care. but if any body can help me i will be realy greatful. I have the latest software version of Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC and also my device.

    Hi,
I have the same problem running Vista and Ovi ver. 3.0.0.290. I ran through your steps but no change. It's a brand new N8 and the phone will not show as a New Device via the USB connection. Although configured to start when connecting the phone via USB, Ovi will not start so I assume the connection is not established between Ovi and the phone. My laptop sees the phone just fine and files can be transfered vie Explorer. Any other ideas? Much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

  • Help with Nokia Ovi Suite - Phone Space Problem

Hello. I need some help. I have a smart phone Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. Well, the problem is, when i connect my phone to the Nokia Ovi Suite, and try to get some themes on my phone, i can't, because it says, that i don't have enough space on my phone. And when i check memory on my phone it shows: Left space: 2,5 mb And on memory card it says: Left: 2,5 gb. Why can't i then download anything on my phone anymore? Please help.
P.S.: Themes are not too big, they're only about 1 or 2 mb.
    Using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

The problem is the lack of free space in your phone memory. Even though the memory card has plenty of free space - some content require still space in the phone's internal memory. And in many cases it requires more space than the actual file (if the file is decompressed in the device, it takes easily twice the size of the original package).
Freeing space in the device's internal memory should help.
