Themes and CSS. Portal Look&Feel

Hello,
We've modified standard themes from portal. Are SAP Chrome SAP Streamline, SAP Tradeshow
CSS files? Please, we need to know if we can upload CSS file (made by ourserlves) to portal and add it to a user.

Hi,
The standard SAP themes are made up of a number of CSS files that are custom to SAP. You can modify them to create your own themes, however it is not a simple exercise of just uploading your own CSS files.
In general you should use the standard Theme Editor available to administrators in the Portal.

Query regarding portal look & feel

Hi All,
I have deployed my j2ee application on sap. I also need to change look & feel of my pages(iviews) when user changes portal theme. For this I am passing url of css used by portal to my application, but I am fetching it in login page only and putting it in session so that all pages use the same css, hence user need to click on the first page of my application to reflect changes.
Problem is that if user has opened another page and he changes portal theme, it gets reflected in portal standard components but not in my pages until I click the first page that is for login.
How can I achieve portal's look & feel.
Please suggest...

I emptied my iPhoto trash but it tells me there are over 300 photos in my trash yet I can't find them and the trash looks empty?

After problems with iPhotos I emptied my iPhoto trash but it tells me there are still over 300 photos in the trash yet it looks empty and I can't find apparently still existing photos. How can I make the number go and tells me my trash is on zero?

First ry the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If the above doesn't help continue with the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

In our case , WebDynPro ABAP iViews not picking the portal look and feel.
Is there any way to provide the custom developed portal theme link or css file to the WebDynPro application.
Can it be done programmatically in the WD ABAP application.

Wireframes to portal look and feel

hi,
i am working on a webcenter portal application.
as usual, we have got wireframes (html prototypes) from customer which has html, js and css files.
now i have to produce same kind of look and feel on webcenter portal.
please suggest what shall i do?
is this recommended way?
i copy content of css file which i got as part of wireframes into portal-skin.css file, now i use html components (div, ul, li, p etc) in page template and other jspx pages (reference could be the html files which i got in wireframes).
please suggest.

Hi.
You can select two ways:
- Continue with your HTML + CSS and create templates based directly on wireframes. Faster and easier solution for non-adf people.
- Translate your wireframes to a ADF Templates and use ADF Skinning to achieve the styles. Slower and hard if you don't have much experience with it.
About the solution of maintain HTML + CSS:
- Maintain your structure of CSS, images and JS in separated folders of skin folder (In Web Content or in project PortalWebAssets).
- In Skin files (like portal-skin.css) change ADF Skinning of components only. Is the best way to maintain the hierarchy of adf skins.

- In adf-config.xml you can provide rewrite rules to search your static-files when you are using Web Server (OHS) to server static-files.

Hi,
Can someone please direct me to threads/wiki/blog/sap help for customising portal look and feel like company branding logo and colour themes etc.. I have to a requirement to match SAP Portal interface to look like existing company intranet web site.
Also please let me know how can I transport these portal setting once configured to different environment (QA and PRD).

Instant Portal Look'n'Feel

Hi,
is there any easy way to transfer the Instant Portal Look'n'Feel into Enterprise Portal?
Are there specific stylesheets that could be plugged into Enterprise Portal?

I tried to personalize the instant portal look and feel but it drove me crazy.
Styles are very complex and generated by a stored proc that you can't modify.
In standart portal, it is easy to manage with UI templates, but in instant portal you simply cant' modify them.
If you find a way to do so, let me know.

Dev and qas portal theme got changed ? how to ge back standard THEME

we have in dev one theme and today QAS portal has got up and we are using its look and fell is different how to get back look and feel like QAS PORTAL ? where shud we check it to do the settings for standard ones ?

Or the key combination Control, Option, Command, 8 Toddlers and cats seem to be able to find that combination all the time because it doesn't matter how many keys are pressed as long as those 4 are part of it.

Setting Themes for Java Look & Feel

Hi All,
I am tring to set my customized theme to Java Look & Feel. I am able to set the theme using the following code:
ASC_WhiteSatin theme = new ASC_WhiteSatin();
MetalLookAndFeel.setCurrentTheme(theme);
The above code works fine and changes the color schemes correctly.
If I set another theme after setting the previous one i.e.let say abc Theme, dialogs and frames are updated properly where as JFileChooser start showing combination of both. Why?
I am also updating the Look & Feel and calling
SwingUtilities.updateComponentTreeUI(this);
SwingUtilities.updateComponentTreeUI(this.getParent());
((JFrame)this.getParent()).pack();
to refresh the themes for my frame. I am using JDK 1.4.1.

I downloaded several free packages to change the Look&Feel of my Desktop
NHudDrive etc.,when I unzip I only see lots of Icons etc. supposed to
change the Desktop looks but no explanation how to do it.
Have anyone used them,and know how to do it?

If you can convert the scanned documents into an OCR program, you might be able to copy and paste the contract without having to retype it but the form itself is probably going to have to be recreated. Alternatively, you could use a document annotation program such as iAnnotate and mark up the contract with ink.

After you have installed the OSX on the new HDD in your MBP, install the old HDD in an enclosure and connect it to your MBP via USB. Then try to drag and drop your data to the new HDD.
If this proves unsuccessful, you may look for data recovery software on the Internet. There will be free trails to see if it will work or not. If the trial suggests that it will work, then you will have to purchase the software.
The last resort is a professional data recovery service that will offer NO guarantees and charge a lot of money.
As you now can appreciate, backups eliminate such predicaments.
