Themes - No themes or my theme but how

IDVD places some background into my dvd (it does let me change it – but not to anything I want). I can't get it gone. I deleted preferences as directed in help but a default background stays.
So I go to “Adding a custom background image to a DVD menu” in help. It says, and I quote, Drag a picture file from the Finder to a DVD menu or to the Background well in the Settings pane of the Customize drawer.
Okay I can handle that.
So let's change the yellow background to look the way I want then add it to the themes selector.
Only now I have to locate that graphic file. Looking at the “my great DVD” project information I see that the graphic file is and in:
Macintosh HD/Applications/iDVD/Contents/Resources/0004TravelCards.theme/Contents/Resources/B ackground.tif.
Now I can't find anyway to get there from here! Not under Macintosh HD.
Doesn't show in a search using Spotlight. Spotlight comes up with background.tiff as only match and that's not the graphic I need to modify.
Yeah, I know I can drag a picture in. BUT from where, can I get rid of it when I'm done, what size, etc.?
Okay, what do I do?
Was anybody aware that everytime you edit a post the software adds another Model, OS and Other details to the post?

a menu HAS a background, even "zill" is a pic, containing "black" as a color info....
you simply drag'n drop your background image - as said in the help - into the preview window...
what you try to accomplish is a PERMANENT customzing of some iDVD presets...
1) try this only with a copy of specific files... you fumble down deep in the guts of this app....
2) ctrl-click on package(s), choose "show package" to get acess to content...
