I am trying to use the trial creative cloud software on a PC windows 8.1 - I've downloaded and removed Photoshop CC 2014 two times - every time I open the file it says there is a problem and it shuts down and closes. I can open indesign and maybe other apps but photoshop no. Any ideas?
I don't think I can access the crash report? Excuse the ignorant questions I'm about to make am a relative tech novice.
Soo - as mentioned every time I open photoshop it crashes - it just says there's an error and the program will shut down and if there's a solution windows will notify me. Then nothing...
I've tried to look in photoshop files for the detailed crash report & the system event viewer but cannot find a file with those names. I've also looked in the windows files for files with those names but cannot find them either - so I don't know where to look.
Any guidance would be great. -

HELP. 3 years ago I purchased cs3. I had troubles with registering the serial number and used my university's suite instead, and (stupidly) did not sort it out. I am now wanting to subscribe to the online creative cloud with my cs3 discount. Is there any way to find / prove that I had purchased cs3 and locate a serial number? On my Adobe account it does not show my purchase of cs3 (I am guessing because of the trouble with registering my serial number). I have moved house 3 times since the purchase and am unable to locate the packaging or disk. Is there any way to prove my purchase without any serial number or showing under my Adobe account? Please help! Thanks
The CS3 discount offer is only for retail online product, it does not include education or volume license purchases. Refer to Terms and Conditions | Adobe
To check whether you had retail CS3 purchase, we need proof of purchase as well as serial number, without which the issue can not be resolved.

A popular problem; Can't install the new Creative Cloud Tool
Sorry to bore everbody to death with this but after mauling my way thru literally piles of bits of threads and so forth off google, the end result is lots of confusion.
My situation: Running win 7 64 bit (uptodate)
I've been running Creative cloud tools for nearly a year, but this latest update or maybe its not the latest but the update during June... has left me unable to install the new CC tool.
When I run the installer, it ends with the silly and useless message:
"We've encountered the following issues:
Creative Cloud desktop failed to install"
So far no tools have failed to start, at least not those I regularly use (PS, LR, Bridge, etc)
So, I see some posts suggesting the 'cleaner' and when I read the README with it, it sounds really time consuming and a royal pain to follow the instructions... all the backing up etc etc etc.
I'm hoping someone can layout a sort of outline of how to procede here. I've read a few reports of folks succeeding in getting past the problem... but not a discription of how they did it.
I really do not want to completely disrupt my work and my time going thru some ponderous plan only to find it didn't work and no progress has been made.
So if there is a known set of steps to take that are likely to end in success please someone lay them out. I haven't found a complete discription of how to procede.Hi everybody,
the initial reply from Jeff is correct, but the error occurs on my Windows 7 64bit every time a new update for Creative Cloud Desktop is available. I cannot remember a single update of this tool, that ever worked. I always have to uninstall the previous version (which is still there!), delete the OOBE directory and reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop from the Creative Cloud website. This tool seems to be very buggy.
What I cannot understand further is, that while installing the Creative Cloud Desktop (I mean a successful installation process), my explorer.exe is being restarted close to the end of the installation process. This seems to be an unusual behaviour while installing an application like the Creative Cloud Desktop - in fact, I cannot remember any other normal application to have such an effect on the explorer.exe while being installed.

What happens if you restart the Creative Cloud application by quitting and relaunching it and if you run the Cleaner Tool, then try to reinstall?

Edge Tools and Services Are Not Included in Creative Cloud Subscription?
I purchased my Creative Cloud subscription for a year. I have installed all the applications I intend to use from the Adobe Application Manager.
When I run the software that is part of the Creative Suite, it prompts me to register the product with my account and then it launches just fine. But when I try to run the software that is part of the Edge Tools & Services, it prompts me that I do not have a subscription and asks if I would like to start my 30 day trial. Shouldn't these applications be included in the Creative Cloud subscription? Or do they need a separate subscription for some reason?Hi Kplover,
Which Edge tools are you asking about specifically? I think Edge Animate is the only one included for installation in Adobe Application Manager at present. Edge Inspect and Code are still in preview.

I'm all up to date and I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling all my Adobe software. I'm on a Mac using the latest version of OSX. The issue has been happening since I switched to a different Adobe ID about a week ago.
ThanksThanks for your reply. I've tried removing 'OPM.db' a few times now, restarting etc but I still have the same problem. The Application Manager still appears every time I open a CC app.
It appears twice when I open a CC application - the first time it asks me to sign in. Upon signing in, I get a 'Thank you' message. Then after the application has loaded it appears again telling me 'Don't let a good thing come to an end' and gives me the option to either 'License the software' or 'Start Trial'. I choose 'License the software' and I have to sign in again. I then get another 'Thank you' message! -

Adobe needs to install a plugin for Firefox, and it can't install it while Firefox is running. Simply close Firefox and wait a minute or two, and then proceed with installing the Adobe Reader program.
