Do you get an error number? What is the exact message?
Two things to try.
- Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
- Quit the App Store
- In Finder - Go>Go to folder... (or Apple-shift-G)
- Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
- It will take you to a folder. Delete com.apple.appstore
- Launch the App Store.
If that doesn't work, try an App Store reset and then try again.

Thanks for the update and clarification. In researching the issue it seems that the 2003 error code may have something to do with the USB connection. I would use this section of one of the above articles:
Get help with iOS update and restore errors
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you might not be able to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can try different equipment:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
Solve other issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you still see the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer might have a hardware issue that stops the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support. -
Hello everyone I need help! Why i cant Update to Mountain Lion if Im gonna try to update my Macbook Pro with Mac OS X 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5. It always says "Your Software is up to date" which is only Mac Os X ver. 10.7.5
Not sure what exactly you did (or not), but it looks as if you should attempt doing it all again, only this time all right and by the book. Many millions have done so, and sure it'll work for you as well.

When Firefox 4 was proposed, I immediately checked the system requirements for Mac user:
"MacOS 5
MacOS 6"
So I downloaded it, since my OS is 10.5.8 (PPC), I thought I was fine. When downloaded, the Firefox icon showed a Stop sign in the middle: maybe a new logo? But when trying to open it, a window popped up saying this version was not compatible with my system. Therefore, using Time Machine, I reverted back to Firefox 3.6.16.
If this is the case, you should absolutely warn '''PPC''' users not to download Firefox 4. Your version is probably for '''Intel''' versions.
Unless you come up with a fix, I won't be able to use Firefox 4 until I change computers, having updated my system to the last possible upgrade.Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install

I have a desktop machine windows 7 based with CS5 loaded and working without problem. I have recently purchased a laptop running 8.1 windows. I have loaded the cs5 package onto the laptop and it appears to work but when I try to update, although I am being told there are updates it attempts to download the update but then tells me there is a problem and to quit and try again later.. I have tried a number of times to download the updates but itkeeps telling me to quit and try later. what is wrong please?
There could be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issues-is the old machine a 32 bit? and what is the new machine as far as 32/64 bit. I am not sure now if CS5 has in the help menu of the PS app the selection to update within PS if so that might work. I know that the Creative cloud app for installs updates etc has caused me much consternation over the last couple few years. Last it could be something like your Software firewall settings or anti-virus anti malware programs. AnswerThis issue has occured at various times, and may more commonly occur when TVSU updates itself. At the time this article was originally written, the symptom was noted by some customers after updating from version 4.01.0010.
After updating System Update, if no packages are found for your system, please try the following to uninstall and manually reinstall the current version of system update.
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Programs and Features
Select System Update
Click Uninstall
Reboot
Download latest version of ThinkVantage System Update
Install it and reboot
Run ThinkVantage System Update and the list of updated drives will now populate correctly.There are a few comments here that have come in over 3 years...
1) Please update to the latest version of TVSU appropriate for your version of operating system. TVSU should update itself, but please check the reported version when TVSU starts up against the most recent version available to download on support.lenovo.com. Uninstall, download the newer version, and re-install if it does not auto update and you have confirmed a newer version.
2) From time to time, there are issues with the TVSU catalog and updates may not be reported as available for a specific system. Lenovo software teams do their best to ensure the update catalog is current for all supported models, but in the event that you find no updates for your system and believe this is in error, please manually check several of the principle driver versions in device manager and compare with the versions available for manual download on the support site for your model. 3) If you have recently changed the system board in your system, or service has changed the board, and TVSU can no longer find updates, or reports an error detecting your system, please reboot and press F1 to enter BIOS. (Note, you may need to shut and restart to enter BIOS). In BIOS, check that the system model type and serial number are correctly displayed. These should match the type and serial numbers on the sticker on the bottom of your system. TVSU identifies correct updates by checking these values in BIOS. When a system board is replaced, there is a service proceedure to update the type and serial number values in BIOS to match that of the new system. If these are shown as blank, this was not performed, and is the reason TVSU is not detecting updates. Please contact Lenovo service if this is the case. -
What happened ??? I did the "there are updates for your computer" & now...
I have a macbook pro I bought 5 mos. ago.... yesterday when I went to shut down my computer I get a pop up thing that says there are updates for my computer and that I would need to restart it when I'm done or something like that... so I did it, and now...... my computer is slower, and everytime you got to load a new page, the address in the address bar has this blue highlight that scrolls from left to right as the page is slowly loading.... what happened?????
I disagree with the recommendation to try Chrome.Since the last Chrome update I am experiencing the same issues you are.I have also tried Opera which is fairly fast but extremely buggy in my experience.I have used Firefox but dislike it for the same reason I disliked IE.............toolbars!And I want to see more of the page than it displays.My Dad swears by Safari but I find the interface to be less user friendly than either Chrome or Opera.I must confess that I have all 4 of these browsers on my late-2008 MBP and use each one in different situations based on my needs at the time.Try them all and decide which is right for you.The best choices are made with hands-on experience.

My iTunes won't let me connect my iPhone because it says I need an updated iTunes, but when I try to download the new iTunes, it says that my Mac software (10.5.8) is too old. However, there are no software updates available. What can I do?
It depends on what iPhone you have.
If it's an iPhone 4S or earlier, click here.
If it's an iPhone 5, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, and that requires an Intel Mac with at least 1GB RAM.

ITunes - App Store - There are updates available that ain't available?
First of all, I'm starting to think that the iPhone ***** big time, but that's a whole other story...
So, here's my issue: Apparently there are updates to my applications available. So says iTunes and also the App Store app on the iPhone, both of them reporting the same number of apps available.
I'm quite sure that there was a button to "update all" on the iPhone on 2.0.1 and 2.0, but that seems to be missing? (but not the point anyway)
Then, in iTunes, the applications view tells me that there are updates available. When I click that link on the lower right that usually redirects to the update page, iTunes tells me that there are no updates available for my account?!
How can that be? Either there are or there ain't.
Is there a way to fix that problem? I would have updated the applications trough the iPhone, but as there are many (44) and I would have do update them one-by-one, I'd like to go an easier way...
I'm really patient, but I start to hate my iPhone. As it is now, it is just a ******* expensive piece of junk. :-((I have fixed a similar issue in my iTunes. Here is my thoughts on why it happened and the fix.
I had recently added a second computer w/ iTunes with which my iPhone is now synching. I wanted to move my music library synching from work to home.
On the 1st PC (@ Work) I was synching:

On the 2nd PC (@ Home) I began synching:

Applications (this nicely caused all of my iPhone Applications to be copied to this PC, in case of a need for a restore from home)
After beginning synching on the 2nd PC (@ Home), I disabled synching on 1st PC of:
Ringtones
Music
Video
Applications (This apparently caused the issue)
The issue with phantom updates was showing up on the 1st PC (@ Work), but I was not synching Applications here. Apparently, I had updated some Applications from the 2nd PC (@ Home) and iTunes detected this and saw a need to show that my iTunes Applications needed updating. Something not in synch between iPhone - iTunes - App Store I believe.
The Fix:
On the 1st PC (@ Work) I enabled synching of Applications and then performed a synch. The phantom updates went away. I noted during the synch that my iPhone apparently updated some of the applications in my iTunes library.
I hope this helps or enlightens others having this difficulty. -

Is there a option that allows you to skip tracks while the screen is locked, as I can't do this anymore??

CC repeatedly says there are updates
CC Manager repeatedly says there are updates available … over and over and over and over … example: same InDesign update 6 times in 3 days. Usually, it's all the apps I use. I've been on the phone, etc … with Adobe and they basically say live with it, 'don't worry about it.' Well, something is obviously wrong and if I just ignore it as they suggested then I might miss something relevant. That was the extent of their help so far. I've reisntalled the updater a few times, etc … and no luck there. The majority of the issue is on a Macbook Pro, but I don't know if that is even relevant.
It's not life threatening of course, but it's a royal pain and annoying.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips or run into simialr issues they got around, got relevant help for, etc …

After upgrading to 3.6.8 none of the extensions load even though there are updates available. The updates will not install and even though the error states to look at the console error log there are no errors listed in the log. All extensions are listed in Addons>Extensions.

== Upgrading to newer Firefox version (3.6.8)I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?
