There are Lines on My iPad Air

I Got an iPad Air today, But when I was setting it up a Line Appeared. I Just ignored it but later another appeared. I tried Restarting it but it was still there then a few minutes later another one appeared. Please Help!

Take it in. I would insist on a warranty replacement.

It looks like you will probably need to contact Apple. Do the lines stay in the same place whichever way up you hold the iPad ?
You could first try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. If that doesn't work then you could also try restoring to your last backup and/or resetting back to factory defaults, but it's probably a case of having to contact Apple.

You can use the built in Siri voice functions in many text apps, (Notability is good) to have it type as you speak, also Dragon Dictation is available in app store and uses its own method rather than Siri.

How do I figure out what purchases have not been transferred? I went into iTunes on my Mac and ran "Check for available downloads" and I still get same message.

The 'cehck for available downloads' checks if there is anything in the store that you haven't yet downloaded, it won't copy anything from the iPad. Have you tried doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases ?

White dots and lines are flickering through my iPad Air's screen and sometimes I have to hard reboot to get the screen to work...ideas?

I just got this iPad Air (32 GB wi-fi only) brand new from an Apple store on Saturday, so it's definitely not an issue of wear and tear. Basically, it looks like my iPad has bad TV reception, there's snow everywhere and lines running up and down the screen occasionally. It's not immediately noticeable, but once you do notice it you realize that it's on the entire screen. I managed to make it go away once by rebooting it which I found odd. I noticed this last night. Today, it was working fine when I woke up but a few hours later the screen wouldn't turn on. I could use Siri still so I knew the iPad was on and funtional, but I couldn't see anything. I managed to finally get it to work by hard rebooting it (Hold down top button + home) and it came alive again, but still has the snow. I rebooted it again and it didn't go away this time. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so is there anything I can do short of taking it into a store to get it replaced? It's obviously still under warrenty and I took Apple Care on it, so I'm not frantic about this, but if there's a DIY fix out there that would be great.

I can't set English. It's problem not only on iPad Air, but on all iOS 7.0.4. My friend who don't update iOS 6, iPad 3, watch and use this application. When I wrote to SAMSUNG, they told me that is my iPad software, only on their tablets that application works good. I like Apple, so help me with this.

I think you will have to use some other app. Only Samsung can fix the problem with theirs.

If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.

Dropped my iPhone 4s and now there are lines across the screen?! Help!

Hey everyone!
So, I have recently dropped my iPhone 4S and now there are all these blue vertical lines across the screen, which occasionally change colour also.
I am still able to receive messages and calls, and siri still works, it's simply that I can't see a single thing I am doing- which is very difficult!
I was wondering if this is an issue that needs to be fixed at an Apple store- and if so, how much it would cost? Or if I would be able to fix it myself somehow.
N.B: I've tried to reset it, it doesn't work. I have also tried to restore the iPhone, but iTunes won't let me do this as I have to have the 'find my iPhone' app turned off, which I cannot do because I can't see anything I'm doing!

Yes. It's broken. A replacement will cost you $199.

The iPhone is not user servicable. Apple does not sell parts for the iPhone. any parts you could get are either stolen, counterfeit, or salvaged. Atempting to fix it yourself will render it unsupportable and forfeit your right to service from Apple, including an out of warranty replacement.

I have read that the LifeProof Nuud works for the other iPads... but am curious of what is avialable for the iPad Air?

I don't think the thickness is an issue, the Air and iPad 2 are quite different in size. And if I'm recalling right, the iPad 2, 3 and 4 were very similar in size, maybe just a wee bit thicker (as in milimeters). Cases made for previous iPads won't fit the Air.

Blue line on screen iPad air

I purchased a iPad air 16 December 2013, and have been extremely happy with this. Until 14 February 2014, it has suddenly developed a thin blue line across the screen horizontally top to bottom. I have read that others have experienced this and that I should return to the store. My problem is I purchased this from the Apple Store in Hawaii and I live in New Zealand, so I am unable to return this to the store. Any suggestions on what I could do?

You can attempt to reset the iPad by holding down the home and power buttons for 15 to 30 seconds until you see the silver apple then let your iPad start normally, if the line still shows up, i would recommend that you backup and restore the device as new and see if the line still shows up. If so your screen would need repair or replacement.
