There are songs on my icloud that I deleted from my itunes, but still show up on icloud. I want to delete them from icloud, but can't since they don't appear in my itunes!
I have a large library on icloud- 26203 songs is the count when I'm playing over my apple TV, but my itunes only shows 25989 songs. There are songs on icloud that no longer are in my itunes library, or show up in itunes as being on icloud. I want to delete these songs but can't figure out how. I have reset my itunes match on both my computer and my apple tv to no avail.
No. It's on and I update it daily.
When I talk about removing songs from my shuffle play, I'm referring to listening over apple TV. My cloud limit is nearly maxed out, so I am constantly removing/adding songs. That's why I was surprised when I went to delete a song I no longer wanted in the mix and was surprised to find it already deleted from my itunes, but still present in the cloud. I've signed in and out of itunes/and match on apple tv as well, but that didn't remove the tunes in question!

Me and the rest of my family share an Apple ID account. I have automatic music downloads and "show all music" turned off, because I dont want their music and stupid apps. The other day I went on the itunes Purchases section on my phone because I was curious as to what my sister was listening to. I saw my brother had downloaded Hot for Teacher by Van Halen, which was weird because I had that song already. I listened to from the itunes app to see if it was different somehow and it wasnt.
Then a few days later I was looking through my music and saw that I had two copies of that song. The album cover of his version was different, so I went to delete it.
AND I COULDNT.
i tried to slide the song to delete it as I had done to many of my songs, but it didnt respond to the slide. I NEVER EVEN DOWNLOADED THE SONG. I just listened to it once. Now that song and all of my sisters songs i listened to are on my phone and I CANT DELETE THEM.
I thought "okay, these songs arent on my laptop, so Ill just sync my iphone and theyll be gone."
NOPE.
itunes didnt even acknowledge that these songs existed on my phone. My computer cant interact with them at all. It was only like 7 songs so I didnt really care. but wait, the story gets better.
Im a big pokemon fan. I recently downloaded the Pokemon X and Y soundtrack they released, which if you dont know, if OVER 200 TRACKS. I also downloaded another soundtrack that was ANOTHER 100.
My brother had the "show all music" option on, so he saw all these 300+ songs in his music, with little cloud download symbols next to them. I messaged him and told him to turn show all music off so that he wouldnt accidentally download them. he did that. But hes a pokemon fan too, though not as big as me, so he wanted to have a few of the songs.
He downloaded 2 or 3 of the songs off of itunes purchases section on his iphone, and for some reason IT DOWNLOADED THE WHOLE OF BOTH ALBUMS. So my brother suddenly had 300+ songs on his phone that he did not want, and COUND NOT delete.
I could not figure out how to get them off no matter what I did, and in the end, he had to choose the "erase all music" option from settings to clear his phone and then sync it again. He hasnt synced his phone in a while, so He ended up losing a bunch of songs he actually wanted.
Now my mother has all these songs on her phone with the same scenario. there has to be some way to delete these songs without deleting every **** song on the phone. and there has to be some way to listen to songs on the could without having to permanently burn them onto my phones memory. please someone help me out here.why you don't sync with itunes (on mac or pc) with deleting all at first? turn off syncing music, apply, then turn it on again

How do I hide old podcasts so they don't appear in my iTunes podcast folder?
I updated by iTunes today and now all podcasts I subscribe to are showing all podcasts that can be downloaded. It makes it much more cumbersome to go through the podcasts to download new ones and transfer to ipods. In the past I had the option to delete (manually) a podcast to which I had listened. Now there is no delete option. The list is showing all podcasts that are available in the cloud. How can I delete these so they do not show up but keep my music that is in the cloud?
I've been playing around in "My Podcasts" view. I think I can get used to it. Actually, there might be a positive. I have like 30 podcasts and hundreds, if not thousands of episodes -- some being really old that I want to keep. Since, I am always erasing tons of episodes, I am always worried I am going to erase an entire podcast and all of it's episodes. This seems nearly impossible in the "My Podcasts" view. (I'm trying to come up with some positive....)

What do you mean 'only play and not buy' ? If you mean that a song has 'play' against it in the store then that implies that you've already bought it and it's in your iTunes library

I've synced iPad with iTunes, but it keeps telling me that there are purchases on my iPad that need to be transferred before I can run the iOS update or I will lose them. What should I do? How do I figure out what purchases have not been transferred? I went into iTunes on my Mac and ran "Check for available downloads" and I still get same message.
The 'cehck for available downloads' checks if there is anything in the store that you haven't yet downloaded, it won't copy anything from the iPad. Have you tried doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases ?

I purchased 3 new tv episodes on iTunes and downloaded them on my iPad, from iCloud. They don't appear on my iPad Videos app and I've tried downloading them several times. Where are they?

When I import an Album or Folder from my computer that is a Various Artist Album it creates as many albums by the same name as there are songs? How do I fix this so it is only one Album?
Before you begin the import, edit the properties of the tracks to set the Album Artist to Various Artists and Part of a Compilation to Yes.

There are songs synced without my permission on my iOS device.
There are songs on my iOS device that are synced without my permission, not to mention using memory I would rather use for something else. I have untoggled everything and they still will not go away. I think they are on my iCloud but I don't know how to delete them from there. Please help!!
They're in the "Audio" category on the capacity bar on the bottom of the itunes window, when you click on the device in itunes (it says 2370 Songs). However when you select music from the dropdown menu of the device on the left hand side of the itunes window, it says there's on 2305 tracks.

I bought the Airport Extreme because I thought it would increase the range of the WiFi signal in my house. I have a DSL modem (also Wifi) and there are parts of the house that do not seem to have a strong Wifi signal. The Airport Extreme does not seem to be increasing my Wifi signal strength? Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong? I am able to connect to it, etc. Just thought the strength would be better.
The broadcast power of all wireless routers and devices is limited by law.....and all manufacturers run their routers full blast.....so the relative signal strength of wireless routers from one manufacturer to another will tend to be remarkably similar.....despite the fancy advertising claims.
You may want to consider adding another AirPort Extreme to "extend" the signal strength in your home. If you decide to do this, the "extending" Extreme would normally need to be located at a point that is approximately half the distance from your "main" AirPort Extreme and the general area that needs more wireless coverage. -
(1) I want to alphabetize faces. (2) Can't change spelling in Faces. After I correct it, it jumps back to the incorrect spelling. There are names in the list that aren't assigned. Can they be deleted??
I type Sandi Patty. It changes it to Sandi patty. (Little "p") There are some pics in there correctly capitalized and some that aren't. So, I deleted all the faces with incorrect spelling hoping to clear the system of that name completely. Didn't work. As you type Sandi, all the choices, including the one with error in capitalization show up. I type it CORRECTY -- Sandi Patty -- I click on another face and the Sandi Patty becomes Sandy patty. (Little P) There are other names in the list that were the result of bad spelling. Can these NOT be deleted??Not at this time, I spent an hour on the phone with Apple support today on this topic and they could not locate the files necessary to delete names from the list. Bummer

The below vi is not giving me what I want. If I select 2 with maximum number of 3 then there are 3 array elements display that is correct but if I select 8 with the same maximum number of 3 then only 1 array element display. Why is that?

test2.vi 29 KBIt's because in case 2 you hold the array build result from the previous loop iteration in a shift register...in case 8 you do not...
You say that if you set the maximum number to three it will produce an array with three elements, that is not correct, it will run when the iteration index is 0,1,2 and 3...resulting in 4 elements. If you want 3 you need to decrement the maximum number to 2. The same goes for case 8.
