There are to apps that I am trying to open but they close before opening. What can I do?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try your app.

WalterCheck the apps in question to be sure they don't say "paused"; if they do, tap them and select stop. Then try again. If they don't, I'm not sure what the problem is. FYI, one my older apps also took quite a while to finally update earlier today...just waited it out and it finally did.

If an app is available for an Ipod touch shouldn't it be available for an Ipad2?
There are some apps that are device specific....ipad only, iPhone only, etc
Go to your purchased tab in iTunes, and then look at the top and you should see 'iPad apps' 'iPod apps' etc. Look around in there and see if you can find your apps to download onto your iPad. -

So my Ipod classic starting acting oddly when I docked it recently. I took it off my docking station, which I'd used many times before and have no issues with, and the symbol for "docked" was still hovering over the battery. I didn't think anything of it until I came to dock my Ipod with my laptop and it said that it had to be restored before I could use it again. I restored it but this practically blank screen came up and just keeps flashing "Do not disconnect" and nothing else. What can I do?

Thank YouTry the following but you likely have a hardware problem:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

So there are these apps that apparently I'm not allowed to remove...
I have absolutely no interest in football, do I really need the NFL app taking up space on my phone? Nor I don't care to subscribe to Netflix. Ok, I hid them. Now it wants me to update them! Is there any way to at least get rid of the install reminder for apps I don't want to update?
Those are just annoying. I'm more concerned about the Google maps app. Have you seen the permissions it has? They seem excessive to me. Am I being paranoid about it? I'm trying to be careful about what I install, yet I have an app I can't get rid of that seems to have the run of my phone. I know Android is from Google, but this does have me concerned.When you say no to an update of these apps, you will not be bugged again until one of your other apps you have downloaded needs to be updated and they are always at the bottom of the update list.
These apps do not use any resources what so ever unless they are used. They are placed in a section of memory we do not have access to, so you are not losing any 'space'.
Hiding is best and soon you will forget about them -

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

I kept a journal and my running bank account balance on the iphone. I am really at a loss without these. The journal was also my baby's eat/sleep/etc. log. Please help!!
If these apps are also iPad compatible, you can download them directly. Make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. (Settings > iTunes & App Stores)

Please help!!!Several erroneous things in your post.
1. You don't have to restore the iOS to restore the last backup. After disabling automatic syncing on connection to iTunes (iTunes Prefs > Devices > Disable....), connect phone and right-click the device tab and select "Restore from backup." This restores the last backup without deleting anything on the phone.
2. If you had to restore the iOS, you could transfer your apps and other purchases to the iTunes library first - same procedure as above but select "Transfer Purchases."
3. If you did lose apps, you can re-download them without paying again, unlike music or media. -

Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”. -

I have been trying to add new sites to my toolbar, but it won't. I don't know when it started, but it has been quite a while.
So I am not second guessing too much, tell us where you are in fact plugging it in. I merely mentioned the keyboard USB socket (not even knowing what computer type you have (it helps to put that in your user profile) and maybe you don't even have a keyboard socket) because I (and others) have tried plugging a flash drive into my keyboard's USB and gotten a "too little power" message.

I have a windows 8 computer and I installed the newest version of itunes because I used to have an ipod and I have a few purchases that I wanted to listen to. When I try to play them it says it's playing but I can't hear anything. It does not even says it's played the whole way. It just stays at the beginning. It won't let me pause. I checked my computer sound and there is nothing wrong with it. So there must be some software problem but idk what it is. If anyone can help I would appreciated. Thank-you

It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes?
