There are unrecognized photos on my camera roll
Suddenly weird photos started showing up in my camera roll, i havent seen the girl in the photos in my whole life and the pictures are all of the same girl, they are not screenshots o photos that ive taken

Hi I was in the procces of uploading photos from my phone three days ago as i have an important art project to finish today. I have tried to restart my computer log off come back on but every time i put my phone to the computer and press up load photos its comes up with "Photos are baeing import to photo library- please wait for import to complete".
There are 90 photos and this came after it uploaded a few - can you help me - i have tried to quit iphone but this keeps coming up and i need these pics imported from my phone to my computer.

Why are my photos in my camera roll missing after updating to iOS5.1.1?
I just updated my iPhone 4s to the newest iOS5.1.1 to my horror, my photos in my camera roll are all missing.
I backed up and everything before updating but my photos are gone.
I've rebooted it, restored it several times but it won't work.
My lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers are saved in my camera roll previously and they're still present.
Why?
HELP ME PLEASE, SOMEONE?Your pics are very likely gone.
You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. especially before any update/restore/etc.
Camera Roll is temporary storage. -
Why are the photos in my Camera Roll being mixed around???
I got this phone the day after it was released..love it, have not had one problem with it besides the "death grip" but I get 5 bars where I live so it usually only goes down to 2 or 3. Besides that, I noticed today when I clicked on my photos that it was "rebuilding" my library again and mixed around my photos so now they aren't in order anymore?
Anyone else had this happen to them? It is obviously not a big issue but I am just wondering if anyone knows why it did it, and how to fix it.

Can I mover photos around in iPad? There are photos on the camera roll-are those the ones I took with iPad? Then there are the ones labeled as imported-I guess those are the ones I took with my camera? Can I combine pictures from both into one album? Thanks.
At the moment no, you cannot move photos between albums in the Photos app directly on the iPad - but with iOS 5 (which will be free to download) in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :

I need some advice. I had about 9000 pitures and photos in my camera roll folder.
I wanted to manage all these pictures into separate folders for easier access.
I imported all the pictures onto my pc, and created and managed the pics.
I synced the phone and excluded the photos,as advised on the site.
The I disconnected the phone, connected again and included the pictures.
On the coclour tab it indicates that all the pictures are there, after syncing,
but on my phone, nothing appears.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way of importing my pictures
onto the phone and keeping the separate folders?
Thanks,If you don't find an iTunes backup as suggested above, another possibility is that the phone was setup to automatically back up to iCloud. You can go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage to see if your device name is listed there. If it is, the section titled "How do I restore an iCloud Backup if my device is already set up for use?" in the following link gives directions on how to resore it: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4036
Also, I'm sorry to hear you lost 5 years of pictures. Having them in one place (as you unfortunately found out) is not a good idea as all kinds of things can happen including loss of the phone. If you have a computer it is a good idea to periodically import them to the computer where you can see that they have successfully transferred to a second location. Hi, my phone was acting up so I restored it and backed it up, now that I have it backed up none of my photos from my camera roll are there and NONE of them are in my photo stream.

My camera roll will not restore from iCloud after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6. It shows I have 1.7 gigs of photos stored on camera roll but none are appearing on my phone. Everything else restored from iCloud. When I go to iCloud.com my photostream is not there.
A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

After updating my software to iOS 6 when I take a photo in an app on my iPhone such as Instagram and camwow when the photos go my camera roll they are black..why?
I upgraded an iPhone 4 from IOS 4 to IOS 6 and had similar problems here is what I did.
Problem:
Using the Camera App from the initial screen (a view finder for me) there is an icon on the lower left side with my last photo taken. When I select this icon the image is displayed and on the upper left side of the screen the Camera Roll button appears.
I select the Camera Roll button and all my images show up as black on a white background. I can select a black square and my image will apear.
Using the Instagram App when I try to select from my Camera Roll I see the same black boxes, and Instagram is not saving photos to my Camera Roll.
Fixing Instagram not saving problem:
Go to Settings:Privacy:Photos
Move the Instagram slider to ON
Back to the images not showing in the Camera Roll.
Someone suggested doing a reset (hold down sleep and home button for 10 seconds). After doing the reset the problem was worse. From the Camera App selecting the last photo icon from the view finder screen and the Camera Roll screen apears but says there are no saved images.
Fixing the Camera Roll not showing correctly problem:
Set Settings:General:Restrictions to ON (You will be prompted to create a password)
Select Settings:General:Restrictions ON>
Toggle the Camera slider to ON if it isnt already

Is there a way to delete a photo from the CAMERA ROLL without deleting the same photo from an album?
My camera roll album is too big so I set up different albums to 'move' the phots out of the camera roll. After I moved photos I went to delete the photo from the 'camera roll album' but when I did, it deleted the photos from the other album I moved the photo to. Is there anyway to remove from camera roll while keeping it in the particular album?.

I add all photos taken on camera roll to individual albums. However, once a photo is deleted from camera roll, it's also deleted from the albums where it also resides. Is there a way to delete or clear out the camera roll but keep them in albums?

The quick way is when you imprort them to an app on your computer, usually there is the option to delete everything on the phone that was imported. If you declined that option, then you have to do it one by one or manualy select in edit mode.
