They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

i started having issues with my i pad yesterday afternoon, then i noticed the upper section of the safari which was grey was now charcoal? since then searches are odd and when i click on history to erase its not there? i went into the apps to see if there might be some i missed cleaning out and not only were there, but i cannot remove them, am i doing something wrong? im not a computer person at all so any help would be greatly helpful. your humble ammature, joe.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari via the taskbar and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Not sure what you mean by the 'list of waiting' (?). Do you mean that they are on your iPad's homescreens with 'waitin' against e.g. they have haven't finished downloading ?
You can delete fully downloaded apps from your iPad's homescreens by pressing and holding any of them for a second or two and they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button below the iPad's screen so as to stop the apps shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded (you can't delete built-in apps) then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off' -
Please help with advice on setting up facetime and messages on ipod touch. \When I enter the sign in apple id for both apps it just flicks back to the sign in or sign up page after verifying it.

I purchased a vocal effects app today for ten pounds, but I didn't realise that in order to get it to work you need plugins, which I don't have. Is there anyway I can get a refund on this purchase? I can't access my receipt as it was automatically sent to my old account of which there is no way of accessing as it has been shut down.

I purchase an Application from itunes. The name of the App is Voice Dream. On the light version of it said that customers will get access to other speakers once you purchase the the full version. I did purchase the full version and when I open it, It wants to charge me any where between $1.99 and $3.99 for the speakers. I paid $9.99 for the application and I want my money back. Looking for an app that will alarm on specific text messages.
Looking for an app that will alarm on specific text messages. The idea is to use the message as a pager without a monthly subscription. There is a similar app for andriod called firealert.
I could not find any app that would do this. There are different types of message apps but nothing that I could find to do what I am looking for. For a specific contact I would like the message to have a notification that will not go away until I acknowledge it. Just like you would do if it was a pager.

change your password, and if you can, change the email associated with your account.
If you use gmail, you can insert a "." anywhere in your address to fake a different email account.
ex:

Whoever broke into your account obviously has/had the username and password to access it.
If you change your email account AND password, they have neither.
I made the mistake of changing only my password at first, then I got locked out of my account because they tried to access it again with the wrong (old) password. This won't happen if they don't even have the right user name (email). -

Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods

You were charged for downloading it (some apps allow you to make in-app purchases within them to unlock extra features) ?
If when downloading it then does a purchase price show on your purchase history : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases (the most recent purchase is above the list).
Of did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account when downloading the app ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

I got charged twice for an app that froze & disappeared
I bought an app called Interior Design_floor plans & decorating ideas by pengfei zheng. It froze when I tried to look at the demo plan on the app so tried reloading it. Completely disappeared so I went back to the App Store and when I clicked on it to see if it would let me reload and it charged me again. So now I've paid twice for an app that first froze then wouldn't reload after it charged me again. No reviews came up until after I clicked to reload it again, if there were any that showed up I wouldn't have bought it at all. How can I get my money back? The app is crap and the reviews I read said the same.

The Chat on line guy was hopeless toothanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.
thanks for your suggestion though, it is what everyone suggests but it does not address the issue.
