There is a new Calendar function in Yahoo Mail, and I can't get Firefox to access this (though Safari will) - any comment?

Everything else in my Rogers Yahoo Mail is fine - its just this new functionality that keeps reporting - over a week or so - that it can't be accessed. When I open Safari, I have no trouble accessing the Calendar (which has been redesigned by Yahoo).

You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
Firefox doesn't offer to store new passwords if you are in Private Browsing mode, but already saved passwords are accessible. You need to leave PB mode if you want to store a new password.

After total Restore (factory settings) tried again, showed connected to router, but does not display "check" next to router but little rotating icon even though the wifi range signal shows connected at full strength and it says it is connected. Just can't seem to get it to generate an IP. Any solutions other than turning it on and off again? Not a Merry Christmas morning.

Ok, so, a couple of things: Denisefromwaleska and I have the exact same size/type/color iPod. Now wishing I'd bought the black one maybe...
Second, Airport is an Express and I have a second one that I carry with me when I travel. Tried to connect my Airport Express to the internet and could not although the iPod did recognize the router and tried to connect to the internet for some time, unlike my previous problem. Updated firmware on my travel router, still could not connect to the internet. Going to try to set up a manual Static IP on the travel router here in a few and conect through it although I predict the problem will persist. Back on the Christmas Present Airport Express router, it is back in play and working fine for all devices save the iPod.

If an application is running, it is normal seeing a black dot under the application in the Dock.
Closing the window doesn't make the application quit.
Quit the application from the menu bar.

First, make sure iCloud is selected as the default account in the Notes settings on the iPad. If it is, sign out of iCloud and sign back in.

Yahoo was accidently installed and I can't get firefox back.

About two weeks ago a friend was using my desktop and somehow Yahoo replaced Firefox as my browser. I have tried to "redownload" Firefox several times without success. My computer says Yahoo is not installed but it certainly appears - along with numerous popups etc. Can anyone help?? Many thanks, Marcie

There are one of two possibilities: a Firefox version was downloaded from a non-official site and was bundled with Yahoo extensions, or the Yahoo toolbar was installed to an official Firefox version.
If you believe a new version of Firefox was installed, you can remove Firefox from your Control Panel > Programs and Features, download a fresh copy at:
* https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
* (if you need a different localization) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
If a new version was not installed, you may just need to remove the Yahoo toolbar and extensions:
# Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and choose Add-ons.
# In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
# Select the toolbar you wish to remove in addition to other extensions that you did not install.
# Click the Remove button.
# Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
After Firefox restarts, install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ Search Reset Tool]. This will remove the rest of the traces of this program from your Firefox.
For further information, please read [[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]].
Alternatively, you can reset your Firefox to the default settings. Follow the guide in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article and be advised that you will lose all extensions and some settings. The article will list what will be saved and what is removed.
Note that the latest Firefox version is 33, you can update your browser by going to:

I am not sure if this is a Firefox issue or Yahoo, but I am trying to transfer a picture from an obit to a Yahoo group and I can't get it to move over, it either comes up with a url or logo words. Am I missing something?

Nope, though it did allow me to get some missing songs back onto my iPod. That's something. But neither "Back in Black" or "Dirty Deeds" show up anywhere on the Touch. Could this be because iTunes has no deal with AC/DC?
Quite frankly, at this point, I'd really rather not have the "ease of use" of iCloud attached to the iPod. It's not like I change my playlists that much. It would just be nice to get what I want onto my MP3 player. Not sure which one it was: iCloud, Music Match or the Air Port but the only real result of all the $ I plunked down is seeing all of my Wife's 231 Christmas songs popping up on my laptop. Really don't want them here. She SURE AS **** is sick of seeing all of my stuff on her computer.

My new Time Capsule 500gB flashes amber and I can't get in contact

I can't get in contact with my brand new Time Capsule!
A network is running, both wireless and ethernet. Both my Apple TV and the desctop PC (which i'm using now) can go on the internet, but I can't make any changes using Airport.
When startin Airport it finds the Time Capsule, and it seems like it also has been updated, but when I try to go "Next" or use "Manual" button I got an error after a few seconds with the code 10057. An error occured when it tried to get in contact with the wireless unit.
It still flashing amber, what can I do?
I hope some of you can give me an advice?

I changed my Yahoo mail password, and discovered I can't access my mail from the phone. I changed it back to the old password, but I still get a message on the phone saying the username or password is incorrect....

Try deleting the account on your phone, turn your phone off, then back on & re-creating the account.

I don't have any mail in my mail box. Everything is cleaned out but it still registers 373 on the front of my phone. How do I get this to go back to normal?

If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier.

I updated my computer to the new software (Lion 10.7.2) and I can't get my iWeb to show up?

I recently updated my 27" desktop to the new & improved Lion 10.7.2 from Snow Leopard ..
All of my personal files, folders, etc were transferred by the Genius Bar at my local retail store, however, I went and opened iWeb to update my farm's website and unfortunately my old iWeb doesn't come up!

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

I get the firefox pop up "do you want to remember this password", but it does not save it. There is no "yes" option on the pop up. How can I get Firefox to save my passwords?

I want Firefox to save my passwords as it has in the past, but now it is not doing so. I am using version 6.0.2, I see the pop up asking to remember the password, but firefox does not save the passwords. What can I do to correct this so FF starts saving my passwords?

Firefox 4 and later versions place a key icon on the location bar that allows to (re)open the dialog to save the password at any time. 
That pop-up dialog has a button labeled with "Remember Password". 
If you click the arrow next to that button then you see the other choices ("Never Remember Password for this site", "Not Now").

Its seems impossible to get to reset my apple id security questions even though I have tried to follow all of the instructions offered.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I believe anilsudhakaran meant sign out and in with your Apple ID for iTunes.
Also, do a hard reboot of your phone. I know that always helps me.

IF your imessage is saying waiting for activation then do this:
backup your phone to itunes or icloud.
then on your phone go to settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe your phone clean.
once the process is done, you can restore from the backup you made, then you should be able to activate your imessage.
