There is a processing delay. When typing in Word there is a delay between when a key is hit and when the corresponding character appears on the screen. Another example is when scrolling down a page, the scroll is also delayed.
What is cause of processing delay. Fraction of a second delay between hitting a key and seeing result on screen. Another example is when scrolling, the scroll is delayed for a fraction of a second.
This is only in Word? Sounds like Microsoft's software has a bug. Have you checked for available updates in Microsoft AutoUpdate?

This happens also on pages I can zoom in on - it will zoom in and out uncontrollably. Sometimes just moving the cursor across the window without clicking on anything will cause the view to zoom in or out. Eventually it calms down.
This IS intermittent and started only recently. When I turn off my laptop, it usually says it's installing an update and I'm not sure if that's a Mozilla update, Quicktime, Flash or what and if you can tell me how to determine what's being updated so often, I'd appreciate it because I have a suspicious nature about things happening without my knowledge!
The scrolling up and down can happen on a page once and if I go out and return, it may or may not happen again. The distance it goes back is never the same. Left-clicking the mouse doesn't anchor the page. Using the scroll bar doesn't change anything. In fact, even when the left mouse button is depressed with the cursor on the scroll bar, the bar will jump up and down by itself.
I use a Rocketfish wireless mouse. Thinking it was the problem, I replaced the battery and re-booted it but that doesn't help. Closing Firefox and re-opening it doesn't stop the problem.
It doesn't seem to happen in documents on my laptop, just on the internet.
In fact, it's happening right now!

After downloading new firefox, when i scroll down a page, if i scroll back up the text on the page appears garbled. It looks like i am viewing it underwater. i tried changing the view settings around, but that did not help. not sure what else to do.

I have some long spreadsheets and want to go to the bottom to add new data without scrolling down through all the old entries. When I open a table now it goes to the top row and I have almost 300 rows to scroll through. I would like to set the table up to automatically go to the bottom row.

You have a couple of options. If you use 100% View Zoom, and if you leave a cell selected in the bottom row of the table when you Save and Close the document, it will reopen with that cell in view.
You could also sort your table in the opposite order and add new rows at the top. Then you wouldn't have to worry about what zoom you use. To insert a row at the top, select a cell in the current top row and press Option-UpArrow. That will add a new blank Top Body Row.

After selecting the document using the stylus tap in the upper left corner of the screen and you'll see a drop down menu populate (from the File option), Next select preferences and lastly, place a check mark next to the page scroll on Five-Way device.

Having an image follow you as you scroll down a page

Forgive me for not knowing the proper term for this question.
I have a basic html website that consists of a table with many cells. I want to add an image on the left side below my navigation that when I scroll down a page that image will follow me down the page so that it always shows nomatter where I am at on the page.
Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

Look up Dictionary (3 finger) disappearing while scrolling down a page

I have an issue with "look up" (dictionary) while I'm scrolling down a page.
The more down I scroll the more up the "result" stays.

I did as you recommended and installed HTTPWatch and below is the outcome of that program. It is the exact string with the only exception of obfuscated servernames and portnumbers. The last part that begins with "sap_ep_baseurl=" makes me suspicious, is that part really correct? It looks like it's lacking things.

I don?t know what you mean with laptop keeps sending the document but if you have this issue with office word or some other office application, try to check some forum where you can find discussion about similar theme.
I can not give you any precise answer but it is maybe because of office specific settings or you press accidentally some key on the keyboard and on this way interrupt symbols entering. -

I have a RVS4000 router with DHCP enabled and in router mode.
The LAN is 192.168.2.x. The RVS4000 static IP address is 192.168.2.8
The router is not the RVS4000 and is at 192.168.2.1
The RVS4000 dhcp is assigning it's clients a default gateway of 192.168.2.8 instead of what I want 192.168.2.1.
How can I get the RVS4000's DHCP server to assign another IP address other than its own as the default gateway to its DHCP clients?
ThanksHi Gail, you cannot do this. The router, as the DHCP server will only assign a default gateway of what IP interface the DHCP server runs on. If you have the default IP, the gateway is 192.168.1.1. If you create a second vlan, by default it would be 192.168.2.1.
There are not configuration options for the built-in DHCP server. If you'd like to expand this functionality, you would need an external dhcp server.
