There is a rainbow line in the middle of my screen, I have tried recalibrating and messing with the resolution. Nothing is helping. Plus, each time I close my computer, the line gets bigger the next time I open it. What is this?

Could it be a crack in the screen?

Safari works fine for all sites but as soon as I login to mail.yahoo.com and enter my login/password then I get the spinnig color wheel. Force quit is the only way out. I beleive my Mail Yahoo was working fine last month (started having this issue a couple weeks ago).

Installed ScanSnap and now receive a request to change my harddrive each time I open a pdf.

I recently installed a ScanSnap and it changed my Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional to the point where each time I open this program or even a pdf file, I receive a User Account Control warning message asking whether the "Adobe Acrobat application program can make changes to the hard drive on this computer."
Any way to fix this so I can open up both program and pdfs without this warning?

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

Please help - all of a sudden my ipod is showing a padlock on it & it will not let me in to my music - how did this happen & how do I fix it.

Is this a padlock that appears in the upper right hand corner of the iPod's display? If so, that is the lock switch icon indicating that the lock switch located along the top of the Nano is in the On position.
If you have verified that this lock switch is actually in the Off position, the lock switch is likely damaged or faulty and in need of replacement.

ITunes will not open my music CDs when I place them in the DVD drive. I am using Win 7 and latest download of iTunes. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with AV software turned off. No luck. Cannot upload my music CDs to iTunes library. Any ideas?

Using Win 7 and latest download of iTunes, the software will not recognize my music CDs when inserted in my DVD drive. I put a CD in the drive and nothing happens. iTunes does not have a "start" button, or some menu option to tell it to begin copying music to the library, so it just sits there. When I first installed iTunes, it would open the CDs, but I would get an error message after the first track started to transfer. Now, after a coupel uninstalls, disc cleanup, etc., nothing happens when I insert the CD. I am lost here and about to sell my new Ipod Classic because it is useless to me. Maybe I'm just too old to own something like this? Any (serious) suggestions would be appreciated.

In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first.

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

Have IMAC, Mountain Lion mail. Each time I open mail, the message Mail can't connect to the account "Google" followed by a request for a password of an acct that was previously deleted. How do I get rid of the message? Thanks

Each time I open my mail, a message box appears with the message Mail can't connect to the account "Google", followed by Enter the password for the user *****@gmail.com. The full account that appears is an account that I had previously deleted. I cannot prevent the message box from appearing. What do I have to tweak in order for this annoying box to keep reappearing. From the Mail menu bar, select
Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Look for the unwanted SMTP (outgoing mail) account in the window that opens. Double-click it. Another window will open, showing a list of all the outgoing mail accounts. The unwanted one will be selected. Click the minus-sign button to delete it, then click OK.
If there's more than one unwanted account, repeat.

My vodafone emais get delivered to my BB each time I open them on the exchange server

each time I open an old email on my Outlook or on the exchange server, I get it send to my BB as if it was a new email.
It's driving me insane...Does anyone know how to fix thi?

Probably far too old to register. Sounds like a bug, stopping the "never" selection from working. You may be stuck with it.

Updated iTunes to newest version, and once iTunes opened, it crashes immediately. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program numerous times. Also had a hard time getting a network connection over the weekend (I knew my connection was fine)

Updated iTunes to the newest version but have been unable to use it since. Once it opens and tries to connect to the iTunes store it crashes and asks me to close the program and report the problem. In the Windows information center, it tells me to update iTunes to the newest version to fix the problem; when I do and I tell it to repair the problem it goes through the motions, but the program doesn't change, it still doesn't work. I have tried uninstalling and resinstalling the program numerous times from the weekend until now to no avail. After the update was completed, it had a difficult time making a network connection; I knew that the connection was fine, as I was on the internet and receiving e-mail at the same time.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi.

Why do I get an install box and then taken to the foxfire page each time I open foxfire

Foxfire was working fine until I got a message that updates were ready. After the install each time I open foxfire I see a very brief software install box and then I'm taken to the foxfire welcome screen.
