There is no address bar

I just downloaded firefox and there is no address bar. How can I get the Address bar?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode with all toolbars hidden.
* Press F11 to toggle full screen mode (Firefox/File > Full Screen)
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

There is no address bar where I can see an address

there is no address bar where I can see the URL. There is no place where I can paste a URL The only extension I have is speed dial

View > Toolbars = Navigation toolbar

Under VIEW, the "hide toolbar" is in bold, so I can not click "view toolbar"
I tried the customize option as well and that doesn't work either.

When Firefox is launched, it does not load as is expected, there is no address bar and I am not able to surf the internet. Is there a plug in I need to download?

My other web browser is working and I am able to surf the internet with it. I have an iMac.

On my laptop running windows 7 most of the information has disappeared from the window - headings (file, edit, view, etc), address bar and navigation buttons - all i can see is tabs - how do i get the missing items to display

Safari - no address bar

This morning there was no address bar to type a www. in.
Tried 'View' but it just had 'hide address...'
Tried 'cutomise...' but the only clickable are was 'Done' - nothing else.
Possibly, I've pressed a sequence of tabs on the keyboard but the bar was visible when I 'shut down' last night.
Any ideas anyone?

So how are you opening other sites, or are you not? Why don't you try Disk Utility > Repair Permissions... see where that gets you...
Did you try the keyboard shortcut Command L ( the apple and a lower case L)...
You might want to do as Miriam suggested and reinstall Safari, it maybe the fastest simplest thing to do and HOPEFULLY, that gets you back to square one...
Before I did that, I would go ahead and download another browser, like FireFox, download, install and make sure you have it working...

If you are in Full Screen Mode, toggle on/off with F11. Even in Full Screen mode you can move the cursor up through to top to see the menus, or use Ctrl+L to have entry access to the Location Bar.

No address bar to enter urls

I have loaded a new copy of Firefox and run setup. When I boot up Firefox there is no address bar to allow me to enter a url.

No address bar or webpage

For some reason, there's no address bar and Safari can't find the home page. There's no back button or anything. Can someone tell me how to restore things?

Control Option - click on the menu bar and select Customize Toolbar.
Then drag your address bar and buttons on to the menu bar.

When I create a new tab, I have my search box selected. How can I change settings so there will be address bar selected instead of search box?

You can set the new tab page via the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page to about:blank or another page that doesn't have a search bar and set the home page to a search page of your choice.
You can middle-click the Home button on the Navigation Toolbar to open the home page in a new tab.
