There is NO "Deauthorize All" option.

Trying to set up a new laptop and want it to have authorization for my iTunes account.  Yet I received a message that there are already 5 auth's currently in use.  I want to Deauthorize All and start fresh, yet I do NOT see that option (as I'm told I should) when I sign on from a authorized computer.  It only offers to Deauth that particular computer.  Thoughts?  Ideas?  Thanks!  And Merry Christmas!  ;-)  :-)

I do appreciate the Christmas reply, Niel.  What you're referring to is exactly the information I've been looking at.  I open iTunes and pull down "Store."  I'm already signed in, so I can skip that first step.  I only have these selections:
According to the info, I should also have the ability to Deauthorize All if I have more than one authorization.  I've signed out and signed back in, yet see nothing different.  I then tried to authorize the computer again (the older one that already has the authorization) and I get the message it's already authorized, plus I'm told there are a total of 5 authorizations:
Seems to be a glitch of some sort.  I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1 and iTunes 12.01.26.  Or am I still missing something?

  • HT1420 I just realized that I never deauthorized my songs from my old computers. With the "deauthorize all" option, will I lose my songs, or will I just need to sign into itunes the first time I play each song to authorize to my current pc?

Also, is there a way to manage which computers are authorized if I dont have them anymore (select which computers to deauthorize instead of all of the)

    You lose nothing.
Deauthorize all, then authorize the active computers.

  • There is no "Deauthorize all computers" from the iTunes store drop down menu (12.0.1.26 latest version)

Just purchased a new iMac and somehow all of my licenses are consumed between existing/old computers and I am not allowed to synch my iTunes library using Match.  Looking at the on-line help provides guidance to choose a "deauthorize all computers" option from the Store drop down in iTunes but I only have these options:
Obviously, I need to figure out how to do this and then reauthorize from each of my 5 machines.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Buy all option in Wish Lists not there

    iTunes v9
I checked the Apple's website and it states in Wish Lists there is a buy all option. I don't have that option? Anyone else have this problem and know of a fix?
    Thanks in advance.

sabfa, if you are in Canada, for some reason Apple does not have that option for you. It is noted on the 3rd line from the bottom here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1368
I don't need a rant about how this is unfair to Canadians. I have no idea why it is so. Just pointing out that it is. And if you're not in Canada, I don't know why you don't have that Buy All button.

  • HT1420 What if the "deauthorize all" function does not work?

    Greetings!
I recently added a new iMac 27 to my "fleet" and encountered the "you already have five computers" authorized message when I tried to authorize the new machine in iTunes.
After booting up a number of computers around the house and office, I managed to find one that I did not know was still authorized. I deauthorized it, but to no avail. Still getting the, "you have five computers..." message.
So I thought I would try the "deauthorize all" option in my iTunes account settings and start from scratch on the machines I still use.
    However, it did not work.
I am very reluctant to try hitting that button again, as Apple makes it clear this is a "once a year" option.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
Note: I have two devices and five computers associated/authorized with my Apple ID. This is a computer authorization issue.
Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide!

These instructions are for 10.8. In 10.7, the application is called "Address Book."
    Back up all data.
    In Contacts, select
File ▹ Export ▹ Contacts Archive
from the menu bar, and save the archive to your Desktop.
If you use iCloud, disable contact synchronization in the iCloud preference pane. When prompted, click Delete From Mac. Re-enable synchronization. Wait for the contacts to re-synchronize, then test.
If you don't use iCloud, or if the contacts fail to synchronize, delete all contacts, then select
    File ▹ Import…
and import the archive you created. It may take a few seconds for the contacts to be indexed. Test.
If you don't like the results of this procedure, quit the application. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, copy the text on the line below into the box that opens, and press return:
    ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook
Restore the folder that opens from the backup you made before you started.

  • Deauthorize All, but still have 5 computers authorized!

So I have pressed "Deauthorize All" and I still have "5 computers are authorized to play content...."
I received an error about iTunes store not available, bla bla bla.
Now when I press Deauthorize all again...I have to wait until Nov 2013!!!!!!!
    Are you kidding me?!
And I have to pay $35/hour to speak to someone at Apple???
Is this my excuse to switch to a Galaxy??

Have you used the deauthorize All option any other time in the past year?  If so, that would explain why the option is not appearing.
On the page where the Deauthorize All button is supposed to appear, do you see the Change Country or Region button?
You may need to contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them.

I have a work Mac, an air book, a home Mac; husband has desktop and laptop. That makes 5.  My work computer was replaced and I do not know what the company did with it.  I am not allowed to deauthorize all because I did this within the last year when I got my new airbook. Any way around the year limit?  I don't know if I can find my old computer and I don't want to wait months to be able to play my ituens purchases on my new work computer.

If oyu already used up your "deauthorize all" option, you need to contact support so they can make an excemption:

  • Using the Accordion Menu - Expand All Option

    Hello,
I was wondering if there was any way possible to expand all the options for the accordion menu. I understand there is a 'Collapse All' option but it would be really helpful if there was a way to expand all the options on the accordion menu. If there is no way to do this directly, are there any other options, either via creating a button or a link that would all direct the accordion to expand all the options. Please help! Thank you.

Please feel free to add your suggestion in our ideas section.
    Thanks,

  • HT204074 Is "Deauthorize All" my only option for Computer Authorizations?

According to the support pages I have read, I should be able to "Manage Devices" on the Account Information page. But I only have "Deauthorize All" as an option. I'm I missing something? I'm I not looking in the right place? Is "Deauthorize All" my only option for Computer Authorizations?

I have two lines, one on AT&T and one on Verizon.
On AT&T, 450 minutes, 200SMS (200SMS is no longer offered) and unlimited data for $80.40 after taxes.
    On Verizon, I have 450 minutes, 1000SMS and 2GB Data for $86.
There are pay as you go retailers out there such as Cricket but you will pay full price for the phone but less per month to use it.

  • HT1420 How do I deauthorize ONE computer?  All I see in account information is an option to deauthorize ALL computers.  I see where it says to deauthorize them all and then re-authorize the ones still in use but I do not want to do that.

How do I deauthorize ONE computer?  All I see in account information is the option to deauthorize ALL computers.  I do not want to do this.  I authorized an iPad at my previous employer (school for Autism) and want to leave that one authorized so the students will still have access to the apps and music.  How can I just deauthorize the desktop (windows) that I no longer use?

I am in a similar situation. Hoping there has been an update to fix this problem by now.... I do NOT want to deauthorize all 5 computers, AT ALL. I only want to deauthorize 1 computer I do not have anymore! Because there is no way I'd ever want to deal with re authorizing the other 4, when I only need to deauthorize ONE.
Have they patched this problem yet?

  • Deauthorize all computers option gone?

I am looking at my iTunes account information. I see that I have 3 computers authorized but I no longer see the Deauthorize all computers option. Has it been removed?

You cannot de-authorize all until you have reached the max of 5 ( and only once per year), nor is there a need to.

  • When is there going to be a select all/delete all option in email? I need to search for certain emails and delet them from my phone but not my email program (Outlook)

when will there be a select all/delete all option in Emails? I have a large number of emails that come to my phone which i dont want to delete from my outlook mail account (On my PC). However, i want to be able to search, select all and delete these emails from my phone? I do not use ICloud either as it causes issues with my calendars at work.
These features should be a standard as there are plenty of other users out there that are trying to do the same thing and as yet there has been no progress? The email on the iphone is one of the biggest downfalls of the phone, blackberry and android handle them much better, but i dont have an option with my phone at work. Please help??

No one here would have any idea when or if such a feature would be introduced until and unless Apple announces it.

Did you recently deauthorize a bunch of computers?  You can only deauthorize all once  year.

Why can I no longer delete specific messages on my iphone5?  There now is only an option to Delete All i.e. the entire conversation.  Can this be resolved.

I don't know what to tell you if you really are running iOS 5 but on iOS 8 when you hold down a message you get the options Copy and More. When you click more you can select a specific message and click the trash can to delete just that message. Check and see if you have that as an option.
