You can try trashing the preference file. Then kill the NotificationCenter.app.
The preference file is stored inside your Library folder. This is the complete path+preference file's name
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist
To kill the NotificationCenter.app, open Activity Monitor. Using the search box, type noti. You'll see the Notification center listed below. Select the line and click on the kill button
Force Quit, when asked. Notification Center reopens automatically.
Check.

Do you see "Home Sharing" on both your iMac and MacBook? Is Home Sharing all set up? Have you gone through each one of the ten steps in the "Home Sharing" section of the article you attched? Are you looking for the "Import" button on your MacBook?

No. After upgrading (and of course make a back up first) you will need to update iPhoto to v9.6.1 (you won't be able to do this prior to upgrading). Here's how:
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
Photos is v1 of a new app, as yes it's not as mature as iPhoto. It uses a different technology for working with external editors. That requires Adobe to write an extension to let it hook into the new app. Not done yet, neither has anyone else.
Going forward: iPhoto will run on OS 10.10., but there is no guarantee for subsequent versions of the OS. You might want to factor that into your anger term thinking.

Note - that no internet backup service has been proven to be safe and effective for backing up the iPhoto library - unless you personally have backup uyp an iPhoto library and restored it sucussfuly form one it should not be recommended - a large number of people have lost their photos trying it

According to your description, my understanding is that you could not edit documents with Office client application in SharePoint 2010.
Let’s do a troubleshooting about this issue:
1. Make sure that you have installed Office application on your machine.
2. Which explorer did you use for your SharePoint. Please test it with IE 10 32-bit, compare the result.
3. Please try to reset IE, compare the result.
4. Add your SharePoint site into Trusted site on your IE options.
5. Make sure all add-ons related to SharePoint are enable, special for SharePoint OpenDocument Class and SharePointOpenXMLDocuments.
6. Since you used OWA for your SharePoint site, please try to disable OWA, then open documents with client application, compare the result.

I have a brand new iPhone 5S running ios 7.04. I can't get the "Touch ID" to work and I'm convinced it's a software issue. I read Apple's post on the subject (iPhone 5s: Using Touch ID) and the screens they show in the article are NOT what I have on my phone. Mine has no "Edit" button and there appears to be no way to delete a failed scan. The rest of the OS seems to be okay - I've no idea what to do.

I'm not sure why you are not seeing the Edit button. I have it on mine. However, you should be able to delete the finger by swiping it from right to left and a red delete button should appear.

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I have received the shipping notification email from Apple. It says the shipment requires a signature. The usual "Pre-sign for this shipment" button is missing. Is there no way to leave a signature for UPS delivery of an APPLE WATCH? I have always been able to do that with iPhone and iPad UPS deliveries. This is a major hiccup.
