There is no folders in my iPOD, iPOD is empty. NEED HELP!!!

Sorry for my english as first.
I need help. I dont know why by durin formating my iPOD all folders gone. So now iPOD is completely empty, without any folders, like an empty disc. I know that it should be min 4 folders there. Ipod doasn't want to work without them.

You can only use apps that are compatible with your dvice and ios version.
The secons gen ipod touch can only go to 4.2.1.
If you are running 4.2.1 then you can only use apps that require 4.2.1 or lower.

Connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it via iTunes. However, if iTunes asks for the unknown passcode you need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod from backup. For recovey mode see:

"If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. The next best suggestion I have is to back up your device in itunes and restore the software back onto your device. It sounds like you might have had a error when downloading the software update.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

My little square touch screen iPod nano is frozen - need help!

hi....
my iPod nano is like the little square touch screen thing....
just now I just connect it to my laptop...
then I open iTunes and stuff....but...suddenly my laptop got jam...
and my iPod is showing the home screen..
by mistake....I open photos.....and its frozen till now
I try to turn it off...but it didn't work...
the battery icon is on charge although I unplug the USB....
anyone have any idea to fix my iPod back...
please help.....

my iPod is kind of ok...
the day that my iPod frozen....I live it until the batteries run out..
so...I restart it and it works like normal....well,almost normal
ok...now my iPod can turn on...but...something else is wrong...
when ever I press photos....it restart to the apple logo...
so...I press photos again...and it keeps restarting to apple logo
I try restored it....it say's "The iPod software update server could not be contact"
my network connection is good...
I don't know what to do...
but the music in my iPod can play like normal...
so...any other words that you can give...
please help...

Having serious problems withe my ipod touch 1st gen need help!!

just last week it was working fine then within a span of 2 hrs the wifi just wouldnt connnect any more. no matter what i did in reseting the the ipod or setting it wouldnt work. then it battery life just started to go only watched 20 min of a movie and the batter died. and yesterday i lastened to 8 hrs of music then it died. and now today only was able to listen to 1 hr of music then it died. all were charged over night. need help please!!!

WiFi problems, especially if you have lost the WiFi symbol from the top left of the screen, can usually be fixed by resetting network settings - Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
For your other problems, I think a complete restore might be in order. I would at least try it and see what happens.

IPod doesn't work need help

I have been trying to get my ipod to work by following the online troubleshooting guide but it doesn't help.
my ipod doesn't start properly it shows that file icon wioth the caution symbol, and sometimes shows a battery icon with that same symbol, when it connects it stays connected for a few secondsthen it restarts a there is a clicking sound coming from the ipod.
please help

If you are getting the "sad iPod" and the iPod's hard drive clicking, these are both indicators that your iPod's hard drive is probably out of place. Before you go to Apple about this, try this and see if it solves the problem for you:
To get your iPod's hard drive back into its correct place, use you hand to tap it firmly on both sides several times, or until if you hear the hard drive stop the clicking.
This isn't a joke, because an Apple employee instructed someone to do this, and it has worked for many people ever since!

Album covers in my iPod are whacked! Need Help Please.

I noticed some of the album art of my songs (in my iPod) are not of the current song playing...
Has this happened to anybody else? I am thinking of reseting the iPod to its factory configuration, but wanted to know if anyone out there has the same problem. The artwork in iTunes seem to be fine and match the songs/albums, as far as i know.
Another thing is, my iTunes Video playlist incporporated playlists from Music (non video) section. So now i have "90's music" in my Video Playlist both in my iPod and iTunes.

If your iPod is set to update automatically then try this:
iTunes 6
1. Connect your iPod
2. Disable "Show Album art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes. (Disconnecting and then reconnecting your iPod will do the trick)
4. Re-enable "Show Album Art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
5. Syncronise the iPod again.

1. Connect your iPod
2. Disable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes.
4. Re-enable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.

If the songs are not in your iTunes library then:

I've been having trouble with my ipod, i tried almost everything i can think of. The problem is when i connect my ipod nano, my computer does not pick it up, not even on itunes, only thing that it does is charge...i've once gotten a notice that my ipod is corrupted, and i clicked "restore" it started going, but then midway threw it just stopped didnt work!!! i have gone threw all the Help options and i just can't figure it out...please help if anyone knows wat the solution may be. My friend just gave me his old ipod touch and I need help figuring out how the put it on my itunes account so that I can add songs and apps to it. Does anybody know how?

Just in case that wasn't specific enough....It's an older ipod touch. He gave it to me as a Christmas gift and I want to keep the songs and Apps he already has on it but I want to be able to add more to it which means I would need it on my own itunes account because I can't add anything to it without a password.

I have an older version 3 Ipod click wheel I need help.

I have another question with my Ipod. Its seems my battery is dying on it. I am eventually going to be getting a new Ipod but I need to put a new battery in the old one so I can move all my music over to I Tunes then move it to my new Ipod. Apple actually offers a program to install a new battery in any ipod. It's called the Out of Warrenty Battery Replacement Program: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/battery/.
