There is no Icloud tab on my safari

Im not sure if I have the right version, but right now I have Safari 6.0.1. On Apples website, there is a Icloud tab in the new version of safari, but I do not have that tab on my screen. Anyone know what I need to do?

On your safari tool bar right click then go to customize then drag the iCloud tabs icon to your toolbar.

  • Yosemite iCloud tabs missing in safari.

I understand the tabs are "supposed to be in the favorite underneath your websites." They aren't there. I haven't seen them since the yosemite update. I'm logged into iCloud and have safari turned on for both my iPhone and Mac.  Still i have nothing i've even turned them off and on again.  This Yosemite update has many problems and it is far from seamless like apple says so often.  I've never spent so much time working in settings on my mac, I feel like I have a windows computer again.

I figured it out sorry If any one knows how to delete a post that would be my next question.  The iCloud tabs by the way are found by sliding two fingers from the touch pad toward the center, Thanks.

  • There is an iCloud tab of a device that doesn't exist?

On my iPad and iPhone, there is a different name iPhone. That was my iPhone name before I restored it, and I kept iCloud on it. Than I restored figuring it would wipe itself from iCloud, it's iCloud tab is on my email. It really bugs me.it just stays there. Would changing the name of my phone to that one wipe it?

Changing the name of my iPhone to my old one didn't work. It was my phone name before restoration.

  • Why is there no Passwords tab in my Safari Mountain Lion Preferences?

I need to remove a stored password from my laptop, but there is no Passwords tab in my Safari Mountain Lion Preferences window. How can I get past this roadblock?

Do you have some other software installed, like a password manager, that is removing the Passwords tab?
Take a look in Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access. Your password may be stored in there. Look in the Login Keychain, Category: Passwords. You can just select the password and delete it.
You could reinstall Safari perhaps to restore the Passwords tab. I don't think you can just download Safari by itself, though. You'd have to reinstall Mountain Lion. Alternatively there's an app called Pacifist that will let you extract the Safari installer package from the ML installer. CharlesSoft — software you always wished someone would write

  • HT5372 iCloud tabs open all tabs from another device in 1 session

Can i open the icloud tabs on my ipad as a folder on safari mac rather than open them one by one into individual tabs?

    Thanks, Julian,
Sorry, but I think you misunderstood.  I'm aware that I need to have iOS 6 on my iPhone or iPad to view iCloud Tabs.
I think I should have been more clear.  The issue I am having is that I am not able to view the iCloud Tabs on my iMac and Macbook Pro.
For example, if I am viewing a website on my iPhone, with Moutain Lion I should be able to pick up where I left off on my iMac or Macbook Pro by clicking on the iCloud Tab Button in Safari, as demonstrated.  When I click on the iCloud Tab Button, the Cloud is blank.  I just get the generic statement "iCloud automatically shows all the open tabs on all your devices."
My Apple ID is the same on my iPhone, iPad, iMac and Macbook Pro.  I can't understand why this feature doesn't work as advertised.  I have also followed all the troubleshooting steps in Support.
Again, thank you for your help.

  • ICloud tabs not showing on mac

    Hi,
My iCloud tab's in Safari appear to only work in one direction.
Both my iPad and iPhone have visibility on all tabs open across the 3 devices while my MacBook does not.
I've added the iCloud button to the toolbar in the hopes something this simple would solve the issue, but that didn't work.
If I click the icon it tells me about the service rather than showing me any tabs.
I've also looking in the tabs area itself, but this only shows tabs open on my Mac.
I've also checked to ensure that iCloud is setup under system preferences.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • ICloud tab not working

The new iCloud tab feature in Safari doesn't seem to be working. I have tabs open in Safari on my other devices, but it's not showing up. I just keep getting this image.

I think that function requires iOS 6 on the other end. iOS 6 comes out later this year.

  • HT5372 icloud tabs do not show websites from my iOS device

One of the features of Mountain Lion I found of interest is iCloud Tabs.  After installing Mountain Lion, I am unable to view the websites that I am currently browning on my iOS Device (iPhone) and continue on my iMac.
I have checked all the settings and went through the troubleshooting steps and I am still unsuccessful.
How can I get this to work?  Is anyone else having similar issues?

    Thanks, Julian,

  • Issues with iCloud tabs function

I am having issues with the iCloud tabs function in Safari 6. even though i have turned on the Safari Prefrences in iCloud the tabs open on my iPad 2 do not appear on my Mac. Your help is much appreciated

The iCloud Safari tab feature won't be available until iOS 6 is available for iOS based devices this fall >  Apple - iOS 6 Preview
See Number 6 >   Apple - OS X Mountain Lion — Use your Mac in so many new ways.
"iCloud Tabs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch requires iOS 6."

Can you check system update? I think I did a system Update 1st, a day before installing OSX Lion and there is a Safari update. If not try logging in iCloud.

  • Is there a way to get iCloud tabs to sync between my iPod touch and Safari for Windows?

I would like to know if there is a setting or something that I'm missing over...
I already have iTunes and the iCloud Control Panel on my Windows 8 computer.  Is the iCloud Tab feature Mac-only or can I get it to sync with Safari for Windows?  Thanks for the help.

OS X Lion and Windows 7 users can still sync Bookmarks and the Reading List with iOS devices via iCloud when using Safari 5.1. The iCloud Control Panel 2.1 for Windows also supports syncing Bookmarks with Internet Explorer 9, but not the Reading List as IE simply doesn’t have an equivalent feature.
While not as seamless as the iCloud Tabs feature, Bookmarks and Reading List can still be an effective way to share pages between your Windows 7 PC and your iOS devices; if you’re using Safari on Windows, the Reading List is best for storing and sharing one-time content while Bookmarks obviously are better suited for keeping track of pages that you may want to refer back to more than once.

According to this, I think you can.

  • Is there a way to sync your iCloud tabs between my Mac and iOS devices, but without syncing my bookmarks?

I sync my bookmarks between my iPad (3rd gen) and my iPhone 5, but I don't want them to sync with my Mac's because many of the bookmarks I have on my iOS devices are websites designed for mobile devices, or at least they're not the desktop version of them. That just makes it simple for my iOS devices. On my Mac however, I have many websites I don't need or want on my iPhone such as foursquare, Nike+, and PayPal because I already have the apps on my iPhone and iPad. But one thing I realized was that on the Mac, if you want to use iCloud in Safari, there is no option to not sync bookmarks and just use the iCloud tabs, not that I know of anyway. I was hoping there was a way to solve that, one that I might not have seen or thought of yet?

I think that cloud privacy concerns are overdone - especially with Apple who don't have a vested interest in snooping through your data like Google does!
Do you use email?  It's stored in the cloud on the providers servers - no matter who the provider is.
Do you use SMS on a phone?  They're stored on a server somewhere!
Do you use the internet?  The logs are stored at your ISP for some period of time - tracking everywhere you've been.
Thats why I am comfortable to use iCloud for most of my documents.  If I want to transfer files very securely, I put them in an encrypted disk image on Dropbox.
    Cheers,
    Rodney

  • I accidentally deleted the iCloud Tabs in Safari on my iPhone...How do I get it back??

So I accidentally deleted the iCloud Tabs in Safari on my iPhone. Is there a way to get it back so I can view what tabs are open on my Macbook?

Quit Safai (double tap the home button, hold the app icon until it wiggles, tap , double tap the home button gain)
Settings > iCloud > Turn off Safari > Delete from phone then turn Safari back on

  • ICloud tabs not working in safari

They show up in Safari on my iOS devices (two ipads and iphone) and my iMac at home. But they don't on my work Macbook Air. When I click on the iCloud tabs icon it a popup box comes up with the icloud logo and the message : icloud automatically shows all the open tabs on your other devices.
iCloud is on on the macbook air, and Safari is chosen in the list.

Final update: on my iPad, I deleted my iCloud account. I then rebooted my iPad. Then I logged back into iCloud.
    Voila!! It worked!
    Don't know why I didn't think to do that before. <slaps forehead>
If we could think of every possible scenario and fix on our own, there would be no need for a support forum.
I had a minor panic a few days ago, when my lock sounds were no longer working on my iPad. I knew that I had not changed anything at all in the settings. I rebooted my iPad twice, I played around with the volume, I checked system sounds... I was stumped. I just couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Even though I knew that I hadn't changed anything in the settings, I decided to finally go back and check anyway. Sure enough, I had Lock Sounds turned off in the Sound Settings. I have no clue how it happened, but it was turned off.
I had my own "slaps forehead" that morning and thought to myself, why didn't I just check that to begin with?
I am happy to hear that you got the situation resolved.

  • Is there a time limit for iCloud tabs from shut down devices?

    Hi,
I have had some tabs left open on my (shut down) office iMac that I wanted to check during holidays by using iCloud tabs. It all went fine the first week, but some days later all tabs from that iMac had disappeared. Back in office once I opened Safari the tabs showed up again as iCloud tabs on my mobile devices.
Is there a sort of time limit for tabs to stay in iCloud after having shut down the Mac from which they originate? Can I turn of this feature if I don’t want it?
    Regards,
    Tom

Anyone? OK, I imagine most people don’t shut down their Mac for more then one week or so or they don’t want to check out work related links opened at office during holidays... Or does this just happen to me?
