There is no item number field available in non catalog request screen

Hi,
I need help in understanding how the Contract purchase agreement works with i-procurement.
1. created contract purchase agreement
2. Setup the item
3. Setup the price list for the item
4. Setup the ASL for the item and referenced the CPA number in source document region.
5. Created Sourcing rule for the item.
I have no issues in defaulting sourcing information (supplier name, site name, source document number) when creating a requisition in core apps forms but how to setup the same feature in i-procurement? I selected non catalog request type but I don't see item number field available.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Ram

Hi,
First we need to know which version you are in - 11i or R12.
Also, non-catalog request is not used for the requisitions with Inventory Item.
Just search for the Item number or description in the iProcurement and see whether the search result shows your item.
Internal Item number field will show the Oracle Item number.
Thanks,
PS.

  • IProcurement Non Catalog Request Type Field

    Greetings to All,
Currently, having an issue in iProcurement. Under Shop-Non Catalog Request, there is an option to have "Request Type" field to be available.
This field and LOV is not showing up.
Per iProcurement Implementation Guide Release 11i Part No. A85361-05 December 2004
    Specifically:
    Section 4-52
    Page 158
This is section describing "Setting Up Non-Catalog Request Templates"
There is a 'Request Type' dropdown at the top of the page, just above 'Item Type'
Request Type is not coming about.
Is there a smart form setup / preference or a Profile Option value that controls this feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    You are right Mr. CK..
If you check stores --> Smart Form --> Personalize "Default Item Information", you will find ${oa.NonCatalogRequestVO.IsTemplateBased} inside the personlization form.. It indicates "Request Type" is dependant on a template i.e. non-catalog request template.
Thanks for your answer.. Indeed it is helpful.

  • Any suggestions for the ITEM NUMBER field

We sell DVDs, Books, CDs, etc. for which we have item groups setup.
We are using the ISBN based EAN barcode for the bar code field.
Any best practices for coming up with the ITEM NUMBER naming convention that people have for us.
Currently we use the short form title of the DVD or book to denote the item number.
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
There are always pros and cons for something like Item Code convention.
In my experience, I would like to make them in the same length whenever possible.  Because they are internal codes, they should be easier to be used for both technical and non-technical users.  Sometimes you might not be able to make both parties happy.  In that case, you have to give up something to compromise.  The most important above all is to eliminate any duplicated codes.  You will find that could the most difficult job if you give more users the abilities to create Item Code.  If that is a must for your business, more training will be needed for all those users.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Check item category determination (VOV4) whether the item category is determine with the combination of  material item
category group, untill the material being read by the system it will not give the line item no,and also check at VOV8 for your doc
type Item no.increment Ex: 10, is maintained or not ,if not maintain and try.

  • Item number field length limitation?

A non-SAP client is presenting a business proposal to a SAP customer and what they want to know is what is the limitation on Item numbers for products for a manufacturing company running SAP ERP? No, we cannot ask the customer, yet!
I know the SAP is highly customizable but is there a field length limitation or anything else you can tell me?
    Many thanks!

  • How to have a custom Item Number in Sales Order Items

    Hello Experts,
We are creating a sales order using IDoc, sales order gets created but, its not taking value what we are populating in Item Number field for Item. Defualtly its filling 10,20 and so on...
Is there any thing that I need to maintain, so that SAP accepts the custom number for Item number.
    Please help,
    Thanks,
    Suma

    Hi Suma,
In VOV8, you can see the fields Number system..here u can see sub item increment u can enter 12 here then the next item number will be 500012, 500024 and so on. But if u want to maintain external number range then follow this steps.
Determine which external number ranges are provided for the relevant
document type. Choose the function "Maintain number range" of the
document type (for example: Purchase order -> Maintain number range)
    for this purpose.
Choose a number range and note its number.
Enter the number of the desired number range.
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to fill item number on a PO autocreated from PR?

    Hi,
I have created a non-catalog PR (i.e. without item number) and then autocreated to PO.
On the PO, the item number field is protected. Is it possible for me to fill the item number? Thanks.
    Regards
    Leo

    Hi Leo,
yes,I think you can modify the requisition lines during "autocreate" process to PO.
Make sure the profile "PO: Restrict Requisition line modify to quantity split" to NO.
    pls see the note below:-
Use the Modify Lines window to split an existing requisition line into multiple requisition lines that represent the same or different items. For example, if the requisition line quantity is so large that a single supplier cannot fill the entire order by the need-by date, then you need to fill this order from more than one supplier. On the other hand, if you have a requisition line item that contains parts that you want to order as unique items, you can explode the requisition line into several lines. After you modify a requisition line, you cannot modify the new requisition line(s) again.
Note: You cannot modify requisition lines for outside processing items and when you are using encumbrance accounting or budgetary control.
    Thanks
    -Arif.

So based on VBELN of LIKP table I have to find POSEX from VBAP table.
( I guess I need to find subsequent or preceding document stuff. I am not so sure about it. And then
based on that I go in VBAP and find POSEX )
<b>So what is the link between LIKP and VBAP table...</b>

  • Drop down in Personnel number field in FBCJ

    Hi,
There is a personnel number field in FBCJ. When i press F4 for drop down list, i get list of employees in Quality client & development client.
But in Production Client, i pressed F4 for the list of employees but i was unable to get that list.
All the masters are uploaded through HR module.
Let me know why the employee dropdown is not appearing in production client & its appearing in developement client.

    Hi Deepak,
There might be a search help developed for PERNR in Dev & Test Client which might not have transported to Production Server. Check with your ABAPER about the Search Help of PERNR. In Standard SAP there is no search help for PERNR in FI Transactions this has to be developed.
    Cheers,

  • Supplier Note gets copied from Catalog Item to Non-Catalog Item

    Hi All,
The basic issue is that when we create a mixed shopping cart, cart with Catalog and Non-Catalog Items (Made using Describe Requirement link), the Supplier Note (in the Documents and Attachments part ) from the Catalog Item gets copied to the Non-Catalog Item directly when we create the Non-Catalog Item.
We face the issue only when the first Item is a Catalog Item. ...
There are no custom developments for the Supplier Note and we do not modify it directly in any other way. Any Ideas .. ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sagar Ogale

    Hi Bharath,
The issue is that for the Non-catalog ( Item created using Describe Requirement ) in SRM 5.0, the supplier note field is getting populated by default. This is the issue.
The Supplier's Note should remain blank. But, its not... This is the issue. Do you have any ideas what may be causing the issue..?
    Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Additional field(company code) in purchase order screen layout

    Hi All experts,
I have a requirement to set the company code in Purchase order as display field during PO creation or change.
I have checked in IMG under screen layout for purchase order but  there is no company code field available.
How can I add the additional field into the screen layout.
Any inout will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance
    Lost.

    Hi Chee Wan Ng,
<b>Where</b> exactly you want to set the Company Code field in the Purchase order? Actually this field is already available under <b>Org.data</b> tab in the Purchase Order Creation transaction (ME21N), so you may not require to set the Company Code again.
Which version of SAP R/3 you are using?
Hope this helps you, if not, then give us more details to help you better.
    Good luck.

  • Add new field "XREF3" in FB50 layout (entry screen)

    Hi Friends,
I have a customer requirement that, they want field XREF3 (Reference key for line item) to be available in FB50 transaction entry screen.
Can you please explain me what are the ways to get the field added in this enjoy transaction FB50 entry screen.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chandu

As the three fields XREF1/2/3 are already included in structure ACGL_ITEM as SAP standard fields, you should follow carefully the instructions of the note 174413.
    which states as follows..
To include customer-specific fields, proceed as follows.
    1.  Include structure CI_COBL, which contains the customer fields, as an
         Include in structure ACGL_ITEM.
Attention: If you have maintained foreign key dependencies for your
customer fields, then copy structure CI_COBL into structure CI_ACGL
and include it in structure ACGL_ITEM instead of structure CI_COBL.
Adjust the foreign key checks in structure CI_ACGL so that you ony
use fields of structure ACGL_ITEM as foreign key fields.
    2.  Place the customer fields on screen SAPLFSKB 0100 (Transaction
         SE51).
    3.  Enter '001' in Mod. group 4 for the added customer fields in the
                                                                       Page 2
element list of the screen, and in Mod. group 1 fill the value from
         TCOBF-GROUP1 of the respective field.
    4.  Transfer the fields to the flow logic of this screen. For every
field, insert a FIELD statement between each of the two
         CHAIN/ENDCHAIN statements.
    5.  In routine MOVE_ACGL_ITEM in Include LFSKBF01, insert a statement
such as ACGL_ITEM-ZFIELD = *ACGL_ITEM-ZFIELD for every customer
         field (example ZFIELD).
    6.  Generate or activate all objects.
    7.  To take the new fields in the entry variants into account, choose
'Create entry variant' via the menu. You can then take the customer
fields into account when creating the new entry variant.
To include SAP standard fields that exist in structure ACGL_ITEM,
    Regards
    Siva
