There is no option to update IOS on my iphone 4 in general settings?

can not find in general settings about software or an option to upgrade IOS. can not see anywhere on the phone what IOS it is on.

If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.
