There is no "Organize Bookmarks" item in my Bookmarks menu
I got a new hard drive and had to re-download Firefox. I'm trying to import my bookmarks from my old hard drive. I saved them as an .html file but am having trouble importing them. Whenever I try to import bookmarks, it only gives me the option to import from Internet Explorer, but my Internet Explorer bookmarks are old. I want to import bookmarks that I created in Firefox on my old hard drive. One of your help articles says I can import bookmarks from an .html file by choosing "Organize Bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu. However, there's no "Organize Bookmarks" item in my Bookmarks menu. How do I access "Organize Bookmarks"?
"Organize Bookmarks" is now called "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4. It has the same functions as the old name.

Can I display an "Organize Bookmarks" menu item in FF 10?
As I recall (albeit perhaps incorrectly), there used to be an "Organize Bookmarks" menu item in FF that is not being displayed in the FF 10 bookmarks menu. Is there a means to display such a menu item?
ThanksThat menu item was renamed to '''Show All Bookmarks''' back in the Firefox 4.0 version.

There is no "organize bookmarks" in the bookmark menu?
I am trying to import bookmarks from google chrome and followed your instructions on exporting bookmarks to a file in "My Documents". The file (google bookmarks) is there. When I try the second part of your instructions and click on bookmarks in Firefox there is no "organize bookemarks" in the drop down menu.
"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

The above says it all:
No "Organize Bookmarks" item at all in the Bookmarks menu.
I have the prefs set to display the Downloads window when downloading, but it doesn't appear. Downloads do happen correctly. Clicking on the Downloads item in the Tools menu does nothing. I reset toolbars as suggested somewhere else on the troubleshooting site - no joy. Thanks re: Bookmarks.
After going through all the routines suggested in the link above (and other related links,) I got the Downloads window to open when making a new download, but clicking on Downloads in the Tools menu still will not reveal the window manually. -
There is no "Organize Bookmarks" option under Bookmarks. Crashing everywhere.
There used to be an Organize Bookmarks option in the Bookmarks dropdown. It is gone. What to do to get it back?
That's a stupid name change. The name no longer implies that you can edit your book marks. I recommend that the name be changed back to organize bookmarks.

There is no Organize Bookmarks option under Bookmarks,
I set up the Sync function between my desktop and laptop, and there have been issues with toolbar bookmarks disappearing and then the edit function tells me there are four of them that need to be deleted. I am trying to edit my bookmarks, but I can't delete them, there is no longer an 'Organize Bookmarks' option under 'Bookmarks' in the pull down menu.
IMO, the new name is more appropriate, as the Library window wasn't the "ticket" for actually "organizing" bookmarks permanently. Views > Sort only works in the Library window and for only as long as the Library window is open; it doesn't "sort" for the Menu bar drop-down or the Bookmarks sidebar views and when you close the Library window the "sort" disappears from even the Library.

Want to export bookmarks but there is no "Organize Bookmarks" on the Bookmarks menu.
I am trying to export firefox bookmarks following on-line instructions. They say to click the Bookmarks top menu bar item, and then select "Organize Bookmarks". When I get the Bookmarks drop down, it does not contain a "Organize Bookmarks" line. How can I get the "Organize Bookmarks" option into the Bookmarks drop down list?
That was renamed to '''Show All Bookmarks'''.

I saved my old bookmarks as part of my regular backup from my old computer. It died this week and I just bought a new computer. The instructions for importing an html file with bookmarks says to open the Organized Bookmarks tab under Bookmarks. My computer does not have this bookmark and I can't find anywhere else how to import the html file with my old bookmarks. The old computer used Windows XP and this one has Windows 7.
"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu. The rest of the instructions will be the same.

The "Organize Bookmarks" menu is not present with the new version of Firefox.
With the new version of Firefox, "organize bookmarks" is no longer present under the Bookmarks menu. Therefore, I am unable to export my bookmarks.
I found it. "Organize Bookmarks" is now "Show All Bookmarks".

I updated to Firefox 4.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.6.4. When I go to the "Bookmarks" drop down menu, there is no "Organize Bookmarks" command. How do I do the operations that were under that command such as add new folders, move bookmarks, export bookmarks, etc.?
"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

When I click on Bookmarks there is no Organize Bookmarks selection which your help told me to go to.
Beginning with Firefox 4, "Organize Bookmarks" was changed to "Show All Bookmarks".
Do you have a link to a Firefox Support article where it shows "Organize Bookmarks" for Firefox 4 or newer? If so, please post the link as a reply so that it can be corrected. Thanks.

Any ideas?
You can find a button that opens the bookmarks in the sidebar in the toolbar palette and drag it on a toolbar. In Firefox that can be the Tab bar as well. There is also a Bookmarks Menu button (with a drop marker) that can be used to access the bookmarks if the Menu bar is hidden and the orange Firefox button is displayed.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
