There is no picture in Premiere Elements 10 when I am in editing mood, I can only hear the sound.

I have been edeting in Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10 for a long time. Now, today there is now picture in Premiere!!! I can not solve this, I have tryed everything. (Windows 7/64, Intel Core i7-2600 k/3.40 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570)
What is the problem?

The only problem with your assertion is that Adobe released PrE 10, which worked with the nVidia (and ATI) drivers, 3+ years ago. It was only with a recent nVidia driver release, that problems were noted. Since PrE 10 has been out of development for some time, they are not likely to rewrite things, to accommodate a newer, but flawed nVidia driver. I only hope that nVidia is able to discover what the issue is, with their new driver, and correct that, with a later release.
Similar happened about 4 years ago, but the issues were not just with a version of one Adobe program, but most Adobe programs, across the board. It took about a month to track down the problem, and in that time, a second "problem" nVidia driver was released. By the time that both the cause and the fix were worked out, nVidia had a third driver release, that fixed things. Back then, the issue was two 3D nVidia modules, that were being turned ON, with the default installation. With the release of the third successive driver, nVidia set those to OFF - which was also the "fix" with the two previous drivers - turn those modules OFF.
I was only pointing out that using a simple player's capability vs an editing program's, is not as iron-clad a test, as it might seem at first. There are major differences in how those program types interface with the video driver.

What happens when you click on 'Help->Updates' option? Isn't it opening the 'Adobe Application manager' which shows all the updates. ~Andromeda

Use the media browser. In every open/attach window in tithe lower left hand corner under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

My iMovie is skipping like crazy when I try to edit and then goes to a black screen and you can only hear the audio!?!? What's happening??

Have you made sure that the headphone jack is fully inserted into the iPod Touch socket?
Presumably the volume control is set properly?
What make are the headphones?
Have they worked before with the iPod?
Do they work on any other devices?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have been through ALL of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for investigation.

When i start Firefox ( 5.0.1 ) it loads the home page fine but along with it, it starts playing a video i watched earlier on youtube and it is invisible ( no where in tabs ) and i can just hear the sound. After playing the video one time it stops.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

Premiere Elements 7 won't recognise a .avi file, and only reads the audio of the file. Help?

Hello, so here is my predicament:
I own Premiere Elements 7, licenesed and all. Totally legit.
It is reading .mp4 files, at least, that's the only other video file type I've used. It is reading the video of that file.
But for some reason, when I drag a .avi file into the software, it reads the file type as 'audio' when it is obviously a video file! It doesn't recognise the video of the file at all.
When I drag it into the timeline, it only shows the audio! Video section is empty.
Why is this happening?

What is the source of this AVI file? Is it from a miniDV camcorder, captured over a FireWire connection?
AVIs from non-camcorder sources can use any of thousands of codecs, most of which are not compatible with Premiere Elements. Open the file in a program like G Spot and post the specs for audio and video codecs, frame rate, dimensions, etc., and we may be able to suggest a file converter.

Same problem with all headphones and earbuds--just checked settings and Volume Limit was already off--starting to think it's a volume system flaw tied to videos and related sound. No problem getting plenty of sound volume for music, only videos.

I only know that there are other tabs open because the + button is halfway across the tab bar. then when I click in what appears to be an empty space with no tab, a tab opens up, and the one that I was working on disappears again.??...

It could be a Toolbar issue. Could you try resetting and see if it will solve the problem?

After wiping it, you need to re-activate it. If it is carrier locked, you will need to activate it on the network it is locked to.

HT204291 we can only get the sound to transfer to the apple TV and not the picture

Using the NBC app on my iPhone and we are trying to get it to play through the TV. Not sure why only the sound will transfter.

Are you using Apple TV?
If so...
According to this source, the NBC app does not work with the Apple TV.
You might check the HDMI connection between the Apple TV and your TV. Unplug and replug a couple times. Also, turn off tv for a couple of the unplugs/replugs.
If not, are you using a HD adapter (30-pin to hdmi)?
double check the HDMI connection.
Let me know if you are not using either of these...
