There is no pop-up blocking, but none of the "new window" type links are working.

When I would like to open a picture(for example: ebaying, and enlarging the product -> comes in another window) I get empty new screen. I also have problems with Adobe(pdf files are not opening). I changed back to 3.6.10 but problem still persists. Seems like I cannot open anything where I see on the bar: javascript:;

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

The next time I started Firefox, the tabs were at the top but none of the other advertised new features for 4.0 have ever appeared, such as the Firefox button, ability to group tabs, etc. I even downloaded 4.0 two times, with the same result both times. I would really like to be able to use the new features. Thank you for your help.

Other things you can do: 
* Right click a blank part of the tab bar and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the search bar. 
* Repeat the same steps, but click the top one called "Menu bar". This will reinstate the text links at the top. If you already have these, reverse the procedure to get the orange Firefox button 
* To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps again and choose "Customize". A panel will open and while that remains onscreen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc around and place them anywhere you wish. You can also drag anything you don't like into that panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there. 
* To replace the status bar at the foot of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

I added exceptions for the pop up blocker but most of the time it still does not allow the pop ups for the sites I listed as exceptions

the pop up blocker is inconsistent. i added websites to the exceptions list but most of the times when i load firefox it does not allow the exceptions...sometimes it does but i can't find any reason or consistency as to why it sometimes allows them and sometimes doesn't. They are clearly listed on the exceptions option.

I was automatically updated to Version 11 which is still in Beta but none of the add ons I need are compatible

I'm VERY frustrated. The new version 11 is still in Beta and I got automatically upgraded without even being asked. As it is 3rd party software I've been sent made for FF hasn't been compatible to V10, so I've lost the ability to use them. How do I shut that feature off?
Now I feel I got stuck with this beta release yet there's almost no add ons compatible with this release and at this point I need them in order to function properly. How do I go back to V10?

Hello. If you are having trouble with the Beta version, uninstall all versions completely. Then go to Mozilla Firefox and install the regular version as if it were new.
When I try a Beta version, I open a new folder (Mozilla Firefox Beta) and install the Beta version there.
I still like the regular version of Firefox. I don't see anything new on this Beta version that I like, and it isn't compatible to my favorite theme or add-ons.

I got the 4.0 update but none of the new features work...

I was really looking forward to all the new updates in iOS 4.0, but after waiting five hours for it to finish nothing works! It certainly LOOKS different, but I have tried and tried to get the background behind the applications to work. Going into photos and choosing the option to use a photo as your wallpaper doesn't give me the option to use it behind the apps. I also can't multitask (even after getting updates on apps). Are these features only for the 3GS?

This came about since the newest version of Yahoo mail is acting oddly in IE8. It works fine in Mozilla, EXCEPT for the graphics problem. And if I go to any other websites (not just yahoo), they all have similar problems.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

Search.conduit: none of the solutions I've found are working.

search.conduit.com has been inserted into my search engines. This redirects me to a variety of sponsored search links anytime I a) attempt to search for something via the typical (google/yahoo etc.) address bar, search box, or search engine, b) anytime I click a link, search result, or attempt to download a file, and c) at random, about once an hour, intervals, involuntarily, without my consent, and seemingly with random search parameters.
I've been told this isn't a virus. Additionally, none of my antivirus (Avast!) or antispyware (Malwarebytes Free, SpyBot Search and Destroy, and SUPERAntispyware Free) do not detect it.
I've encountered many solutions for dealing with this issue. So far I've tried:
1) about:config changes to all defaults. Had no effect; the redirects continue.
2) Changing my profile. Same, redirects continue.
3) Reinstalling FireFox. Redirects still continue.
4) I've found advice on numerous conduit-related folders and files in the FireFox appdata folder and other system files to remove; I have removed everything I've seen matching these descriptions. The redirects continue.
5) conduit does not appear as an application, toolbar, add-on, extension, or any similar format, as suggested by others. Ive found no concrete element of it anywhere on my computer. Nevertheless, the redirects still occur.
This...whatever it is, is effectively rendering FireFox and IE useless, as all searches, links, bookmarks, and history pages are all redirected to conduit-sponsored searches. The only way I am able to open links is via directly inputting urls into the address box.
Additionally, not sure if this is related, but frequently, my browser will refuse to load any sort of flash application or streaming video. I believe this might be related.
One final note, I recently removed a major virus, Antispyware Soft, from my laptop. I am fairly confident I have removed all occurances and related files of this virus, though I suspect the conduit issue is related to it.

Dragging it off the dock shouldn't have removed it, I have done this with mine because it isn't a program I use all the time, I work with RAW data from my camera all the time so I end up using Photoshop and Bridge to view mine. However, moving mine from the dock, I'm still able to find it and run it from the Applications folder. If you have removed it, you should be able to reinstall it, however, we need to know what version of OS X you are running to help show you how to install it again. Please follow the directions from the posts above and let us know what version you are running.

It sounds like you have Mouse keys turned on. Have you tried turning them off?

When you say they are displaying in your iTunes library, are you talking about the Audiobooks section of your iTunes library and not the audiobooks section indented under the iPod in the left pane of iTunes under Devices?
Is the iPod Shuffle configured to sync audiobooks or do you manually manage the iPod's contents?

Are you sure that you don't another popup blocker installed?

I got a new phone and phone number two weeks ago, I like to iMessage on my macbook pro but none of my new conversations show up, I went into the preferences to change the settings so only conversations from my new number show up, but there is no change.

If anyone can please help me, I would like to continue using iMessage on my laptop, but none of my new conversations exist only the older ones. I went into the iMessage preferences to delete my old number off the iMessage account and added my new number and email but I still don't get any new messages. If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues.

You would need the catalog and the images from the old computer if you want your work that you have done previously. You will have to copy the images and the catalog from your old computer to the new one. Don't you know where you imported images to?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update.
