There is no promt after the lastest version of firefox. Where is the promt?

after downloading the latest version of firefox there is no prompt to drag it to the application folder as instructed. Instead it asks where you want to save the file. So why doesnt it promt and where am I supposed to save the file.

None if these crash reports seem to have been send.
Do you have crash reports with a "bp-" prefix that were submitted and that show a crashing thread?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

Get error message "firefox is in offline mode, uncheck the work offline menu and try again " when trying to open firefox after downloading latest version of firefox

after downloading the latest version of firefox, when trying to open it I recieved the message, "Firefox is in offline mode. cannot browse web. Uncheck the work offline menu and try again". How come the lastest version of Firefox dosen't support ZoneAlarm?

This is the first time I've been unable to upgrade to that latest version of Firefox, because it's telling me it doesn't support Zone Alarm.

It's not up to Firefox to support security programs. ZoneAlarm needs to keep their Firefox add-ons up-to-date as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox.
That said, ZoneAlarm itself should work fine, it is the ZA add-ons for Firefox that would cause Firefox to give a message about those add-ons not being compatible.

Is there an option to download an older version of Firefox? I downloaded FF4 and there is not one single thingI like about it, especially how slow the browser started running. Older version, somewhere? Please?

I prefer the previous version(s), where everything wasn't so clustered in one corner, where my browser actually opened quickly and it wasn't so painfully box-y.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

After Firefox updated to v31 and I restated Firefox no longer can reach any website, while Chrome and IE continue to work fine.
