There is no search for tabs

i open a tab and there is no search box.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

Stick the 10.6 disk into the computer and reboot holding the c or option key down, select the disk to boot from.
In the installer menu is a Utiltiies menu and a password reset.
If you don't remmember the name, reboot the computer holding the command and s keys down
a black screen with white type appears, when it's finished, dbackspace any extra ssss you have made and then type
ls /Users
(that's Larry, Sam, space, slash, Users)
and press return, a list of user names on the machine appears
type exit and reboot and use the 10.6 disk to reset your password

HT4623 that's a nice article about updates, however my IPAD (original) does not have the button to search for updates... what then?

can someone please direct me to original ipad update info- there is no "search for updates" button in settings, I think we bought the first ipad ever made...

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Lost the Search For "All Movies" icon from the Finder window.

When I used to GO to Applications there was a "search for" option on the bottom left where I could click on "All Images"or "All Documents" or "All Movies". My son went to drag "All Movies into the main body and it literally went "pooof" and is no longer there. And I can't find a bunch of movies that was previously there. How do I get that option back? (it was next to a little purple box with a cog in it) or is there another way to see all movies on the computer . Thanks.

Hi,
are there possibilities to search for images in the dialog window "Select Multiple Images" (if you want to add a image to a record)?
I know the possibilities to sort the images and the possibilities with the data groups. But I don't know a possibilities to search for a single image.

      From the question you asked; its not much clear what your clear requirement is; but if its what i get then the solution is:
      How is that you want to select the image? With Image view or By viewing the image itself ? For it when u select "Select Multiple Images" you can find two as "Available Images" and "Selected Images" and in between u can find some buttons, after "All, Add, Remove and None" you can find two buttons "Thumb Nail" and "view Details". I think you can use these buttons for your solution.
      When you select "Thumb Nail" button you can see the image in real and select the image. OR you can select "View Details" and check the file name or path or the requirement as required.

Search for a Transformation

Hello,
Is there anyway to search for a transformation in the job, the reason of this query is that there are 100s of data flows in a job I just want to search for 'validation' transform has been used or not.

If the job has run you could use this to get the dataflows with Validation Transforms.
SELECT DISTINCT JOB_NAME, DATAFLOW_NAME, OBJECT_NAME, PATH as Transform_location FROM alvw_flow_stat a WHERE
OBJECT_TYPE = 'Validation'
You can modify this query to get the latest runs of the job.
Use this query to get the list of Object Types in your repository to be able find links as well.
SELECT DISTINCT OBJECT_TYPE FROM alvw_flow_stat

Mail Hangs Up at "Getting Messages" and "Searching for Sender's Image"

When I open mail and view a message, the Activity Viewer window continues to show the "Getting message '<name of message>'" activity next to a frozen striped bar. If I click on another message to view it, I get another activity line in the window "Getting message <etc.>," but this time with a moving striped bar. Below that there's a "Searching for sender's image" activity line and moving striped bar. This is accompanied by a spinning cog next to "loading message" in the Mail viewer window. At this point Mail is stuck. This is a brand new problem as of this morning. I've used mail successfully for quite a while now. Does this sound like an issue with the program, with my mail provider, with a particular email, or something else? Also, I can access email as normal through my ISP's webmail portal.

The console.log displays a list of errors such as the following:

It seems to be processing each message in my inbox in order starting from about 3pm yesterday. I assume that it was doing the same when I first posted yesterday morning.
I have run disk utility and find nothing wrong with my system or hard drive.

When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

About Google toolbar............
Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer version. It is best to move on to other alternatives than to try any "hacks" to the toolbar that may or may not perform in the future. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. On iOS 8.3 there is no keyboard shown when searching for contacts on Contacts tab

I've updated my iPhone 5C to 8.3 and now I can't use the keyboard when searching for a contact from the Phone app. Using the Contacts app the keyboards works well. No 3rd party keyboards were installed. Anybody else having this issue?

Okay, several reboots solved the problem

Searching for a term using the Search tab in HTML Help doesn't find all relevant topics.

I'm using the Search tab in the HTML Help window to search for a few words. But those words are not being located within the topics. For example, one of the words for which I am searching is Australian. I can find the topic that contains that word using the Contents tab. But the Search tab doesn't find it. I have even tried copying the word from that topic into the Search box but it is not found.
Is there a known bug in HTML Help search capabilities?

Is this a stand alone CHM file or is it merged? If it is merged, does the word appear in the search in the CHM containing the topic is searched? I assume you've checked that your Stop List doesn't contain the word being searched?

Is this on a computer's iTunes or an iOS device ? On a computer's iTunes when viewing the store the search box at the top right of iTunes should search the store :
The on the results screen select Apps.
On an iOS device you should have a search tab at the bottom of the App Store app.

Searching with the Search tab only looks in 3 of 19 merged chms, no matter what is searched for

I'm using RoboHelp 8. I'm using the Search tab in the HTML Help window to search. Although it finds what I’m searching for, it only looks in 3 of my 19 merged chm files, no matter what I search for. I can tell by the Location column in the search results.
Is there a known bug in HTML Help search capabilities?

It would be worth checking that the window and single source layout properties of all 19 projects are setup exactly the same. Also make sure that there are no child CHM files in the project directory before you compile. RoboHelp insists that they are copied in when you add links but they can cause issues like this when you compile. When you compile there should be no other CHMs in the project directory.

I do not use tabs... just windows... I have a mouse button programmed for that. It is really irritating to have to restart Firefox all the time and then open the history window because no warning was issued!

This is ridiculous. I've had this problems for years now and I'm finally walking away from Firefox. I use my keyboards more than my mouse, and how many times does your finger slip and hit Command Q instead of W. How come FF can't reset something as trivial as this? So many people are having problems with this?
Feels like FF has become too big, too slow and just not cooperative anymore. What a shame, I've been using Netscape/Firefox for 13 years. This is silly.

Hi I have copied over my iTunes to a new PC and now there are songs missing and when try to re download on iTunes it says play. When you hit play it sends you off to search for a file that doesn't exist. When syncing it says 100 issues Help please

I have just put my iTunes on a new laptop by hard drive method and some songs are not there. When I go into iTunes it's doesn't say download or purchase it says play.
So you press play and it opens a separate box saying search for file which isn't there.
I have read tons of stuff re this but still not got it fixed. It's not a HD issue because iTunes won't let me download it why ?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are unable to download the purchases from your purchase history, because iTunes believes the songs to be in your library. It may be necessary to delete the items from your library, then re-download from your purchase history. Before doing so, you may want to take note of which song are available for re-download:
