There is no search the web and windows bar on taskbar

I am unable to find search the web and windows wide bar on task bar and also looking for new voice search option on taskbar. instead of this there is a simple search icon on task bar .
help me to find the new search feature. thanks

Ehtisham, right click taskbar, under search there are 3 options, disable, show search icon, show search box, also if the taskbar shows a magnifying glass, right click to configure., after configuration the magnifying glass will change to a circle, right
click circle and configure Cortana.

You cannot customize the Safari toolbar on the iPad.
What you can do on the iPad is go to Settings>Safari>Always show Bookmarks Bar>On and that will add a bookmarks bar on to the Safari browser.

Since Monday, Firefox times out when I search the web and I have not changed anything with the system.

I was able to search the web as late as Sunday. But since Monday I am unable to. I have changed nothing. Bookmarks, email, Facebook work. Can search on laptop using the router, so internet connection is fine. The new google search on FB doesn't work either. Nor does searching with Chrome or IE. Have reset Firefox, restarted the computer, restored computer to previous Saturday. All I get when searching is This operation timed out.

Well I am in my first year in college and am finally looking to get a macbook that I have always wanted. But I dont know what one to get. Ill be using it for school work, music and pictures, searching the web and traveling abroad.

I have a lot of pictures and i know I am going to be getting an external hardrive. But i am stuck between the 13 in new macbook air and the 15 in retina macbook. battery life is important but i want it to be really fast and just like a powerhorse. I could use all the input I could get. I will be studying abraod to and i want something that will be good to use over there and still be fast. Thanks guys all imput needed!

Had you mailed your MacBook in for just the random
shutdown issue? It seems bizarre that it has taken so
long, because I sent mine in for the same issue and
it took two weeks total turn around. Also, did they
give you any reason as to why it will take so long to
ship out your replacement?
My MacBook was initially sent in just for the random shutdown issue, but then I called them while it was getting repaired to request the new plastic, since that was becoming a public issue. I think the logic board was replaced by two weeks into the repair, but then it had to wait longer for plastic. When all of that was replaced, it failed the final testing and was going to take longer, but they offered a replacement.
I think my replacement is taking so long because it is a custom build (so that took about 3 business days) and then estimated shipping is always one week, so since yesterday it has been waiting to be shipped.
ARGH.

Spotlight search no longer searches the web?

Spotlight search was the best in Mavericks - it searched the web. Yosemite no longer searches the web.
Settings has no spot to add the web search.
I have to open Safari to do a web search - good grief.
It was temporarily removed from iOS7 and restored after popular demand.
I hope this happens with Yosemite. Please.

After searching help on spotlight and clicking on show me Bing search in preferences, the addition preferences showed up and the web searches began happening. The preferences did not go all the way to 21 when I first looked at them and scrolled down. The web search was definitely not included because so few results were returned as opposed to the identical search now. I'm not sure why the preferences for Bing search were omitted when I first review preferences prior to doing the search of help.
It appears to now be searching the web and have the ability to include web searches optionally.

I wish I could share the two screen shots I took, but this question site doesn't have the option, so I guess I'll describe where Bing is showing up.
In the left hand of my browser, just to the right of the back and forward arrows, there is speech bubble with a black eye ball or something. I found out it's Bing-related by clicking on it. There is no option to remove it with either left or right clicking on it.
Also, in the right hand corner of my browser, at the very end of all my tabs, there is a white rectangular box with an orange "b" and a magnifying glass symbol. It will not respond to anything I try to do to it either, but if clicked it opens a new tab with a Bing search dialogue box.
Finally, any new tab I open automatically opens to the Bing search dialogue box (versus Google).
I need to get specific, step-by-step instructions for removing this Bing stuff from my computer. As I said, I have already gone through all steps outlined in the article I mentioned above as well as not been able to locate Bing in my control panel.
Please help. I'm certain others are having this same issue. I use Windows 7 and Firefox. Thanks.

Firefox start page no longer opens first: "iminent search the web" opens and I can't get rid of it.

IMBooster, also known as Iminent, and "Iminent Search the Web", has taken over my start-up page. I have tried everything to delete and uninstall all aspects of this unwanted application. It no longer appears anywhere in my computer, but it still opens my Firefox page instead of Google.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

You don't need conversion programs, iTunes can copy most of your content over to the iPad via the file sharing section, and some apps also support Dropbox, email attachments, transfer via your wifi network. There are a number of apps that you can get that support Microsoft office file (microsoft don't make an app versions of their software) e.g. from Apple there are Pages (word support), Numbers (excel) and Keynote (powerpoint), and from third-parties there are apps such as Documents To Go and QuickOffice HD

Not a direct answer to your problem I know, but I noticed you posted a few days ago asking whether there was a crawler available. I would suggest you check out Oracle UltraSearch to see if it will meet your needs better than creating an index like you are doing. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how easy the setup is!

Uploading to the web and I can't see the photos in iPhoto

I have events in my iPhoto up until a couple of weeks ago. When I go to upload to snapfish, the most recent imports don't show up.
How can I fix this?

first I go to snapfish and select the album i want to upload to, then through snapfish it pops up the upload screen to choose the pictures. I'm looking under the media section, under pictures. I have pictures in there, just none of the recent stuff I uploaded to iPhoto.
I had the same problem a few weeks ago and I searched the web for answers. I found some sort of disk utility thing to do and that works. Now, I can't remember where I found that info or what to do.

First, make sure that the toolbar is shown, so go to View > Show Toolbar. If it doesn't work, go to View > Customize Toolbar and drag the URL bar to its toolbar
