There is no sound!! HELPP!

The microphone is working but when i'm recording video or watching some from Youtube there is no sound. Please help!!

Make sure your phone isn't on mute by using the sidecontrol up is for ringer down is for vibrate.

Next time it happens... Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back

Have them install Quicktime on their PC's from Apple's website, that's the easiest fix.

For sound, try the audio output port and connecting to the RCA audio input ports on your Pioneer receiver. Use something like this:

I put a case on my iPod touch 5 and now there is no sound coming from the speaker. The head phones work though. I called Apple Support and the 2 people I spoke with seemed baffled. Has this happened to anyone and how do I resolve this?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

TS1425 My iPod Classic was working fine all day. Came home and uploaded to voice memos via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod. I've used both headphones and a docking station. The songs don't even begin, they just skip to the next one.

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs.

After upgrading to 3.0 there is no sound

I buy my Ipod touch 2 gen two days ago. I upgraded the firmware to the new version and everything works fine but there is no sound. I mean no sound at all, music, applications, all are muted up. I reset the settings many times, restore it via iTunes and still have the same problem.
But the worst thing its that I can´t even downgrade to the 2.1.1 firmware, because when I do that, my iPod get stuck on the apple logo screen.
Any advice will be much appreciated

I'm not sure I follow your words Fuzzynormal. You've helped by offering the insight that my issue in Logic Pro 9 is not a bug but a feature. But fell short of enlightenment by being a judge of character and of how one should interact in this forum. You insinuate that I haven't tried to solve the issue on my own when in fact I have. These forums are always my last resort. You further suggest that I am complaining. This is not a complaint. It is a genuine issue that I cannot figure out. Then you think that Brazeca is holding my hand and being a nice guy. Here is the answer: go to http://support.apple.com In the search box at the top left type in the number 304996 and hit enter. This will bring you to a page with 4 solutions. Click on solution number 1 and follow the instructions. This should fix it.

Okay, I did my best searching and I couldn't find anything that matched all your descriptors. I did do a search on both decoder numbers. SB0256 returned very little results, but with SB0466, I was able to find this ebay listing:

This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again
Oh, and I will vote on that thread. I probably won't wait for them to release the decoder since I need it now, but I still believe Creative should be giving the customer what they want
