There is no sounds in my new iphpne4 including the speaker and the receiver and the headset. But when I restart it, it will have sounds for a minute sometimes. And sometimes not. When it have sounds, I just put it on my desk and do nothing, no sounds again after minutes.

Restore your iTunes library from your computer's backup along with all other important data that should be included with your computer's backup such as your documents, photos, etc.
Important to maitain a backup with any computer platfirm but event more so with Windows due to being very insecure and unreliable,

There is no sound on my new iPhone 4, for a day speaker was working fine, now there is no ringtone no iPod volume it only vibrates
My iPhone 4 isnt making sounds either! Only vibrates when I switch the mute button on and off. I have been having problems with it for a few days and finally fixed it (or so I thought) by restoring it to its factory settings. Now when I try to turn the volume up or down, the bar that usually shows up on the screen is not there and neither is the volume for the music bar. It is so strange because when I set alarms, the sound comes and when someone calls it rings, but nothing else works. It still vibrates but only music/ keyboard clicks play when I have headphones plugged into the phone. I have tried restarting it. Please help!

I downloaded a ringdown direct from itunes to my iphone 4S. When I go to settings/sounds/ringtone, the new ringtone is not there! I have downloaded it twice, but still not there. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks, your advice prompted me to look at it again on itunes, and discovered that i have actually downloaded the full song instead of the ringtone. False alarm...and thank you!

The Pandora APP is installed on my iPhone5 & works fine except when I am in my new car that also has a Pandora APP. The car doesn't seem to recognize the phone so doesn't connect. My iPhone will act like it is playing Pandora as usual but there is no sound at all when I am in the car. What do I need to do?

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

New rig problem: SB Audigy successfully installs but there's no sound
Hello all
Recently I tried putting a simple little rig together but am running into an issue getting my immortal SoundBlaster Audigy gamer PCI card working with this new system.
I can confirm the card works, however when used in this new build, windows detects the card successfully & I install the newest drivers. Windows says the device is working, but there's no sound regardless of analog/digital bring selected or what output devices like headphones/speakers are used.. & no, the volume isn't muted
I also set the Audigy as the default device & selected 5.1 surround sound speakers in windows settings & I disabled the onboard sound in the bios, however the drivers are still installed, don't think that makes a difference though?
I feel like I tried everything, not sure why there's no sound. Like I said I can confirm the card works as does the PCI slot (just tested it with a LAN card). The board i'm working with here only has 1 standard PCI slot, so I can't try the card in another slot. But I tested it in another one of my systems just now running XP SP3 and it works flawlessly.
Did a fresh install of Windows XP/Vista/7 & tried getting the card working but the results were all the same. Successfully detected & installed, but no sound.
I'm currently trying to get it working on Windows XP SP3. My board is a gigabyte a55m-ds2, running AMD A4 3300 2.5GHZ APU, 4 GB ram.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've had this card literally for about 10 years and it's never gave me any issues whatsoever, until nowQuickTime expects video files with separate video and audio tracks, but many MPEG formats used a muxed (multiplexed) single track that contains both. Therefore, iTunes & the iPod (both of which use QuickTime) only show the video and no sound.

I have a new Ipod Nano 7th Generation. When I plug the earphones in, there is no sound coming from the earphones, even thought the Ipod shows the song as playing. Any solutions?
And the Radio app probably doesn't work either.
The headphone jack on the nano is very tight when new. Push the jack all the way in, the plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the nano. -
Is there any way to change the sound of the New Mail alert.
My partner and I both an have iPhone 4. Is there any way we can change the sound of the New Mail alert. It is so confusing because we never know which phone just got a new mail.
Unfortunately due to the restrictions of iOS there is no way to change the New Mail alert sound. One way around this is to have one of you to set the phone to silent and the other not. Then when the person on silent gets a new email the phone will vibrate and the other person will get the audio alert.

I put a Griffin case on my daughter's iPod Touch 5 and now there is no sound coming from the speaker. There is sound when we use the headphones. Is there a mute function that I may have switched on and if so how do I turn it off?

Called Apple Support and spoke to 2 people who seemed baffled and who could only suggest I reset the device. Who h has not helped.
HELP!!!!!!!- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

After upgrading to 3.0 there is no sound
I buy my Ipod touch 2 gen two days ago. I upgraded the firmware to the new version and everything works fine but there is no sound. I mean no sound at all, music, applications, all are muted up. I reset the settings many times, restore it via iTunes and still have the same problem.
But the worst thing its that I can´t even downgrade to the 2.1.1 firmware, because when I do that, my iPod get stuck on the apple logo screen.

I have just bought a black Apple TV and it works fine when connecting my iPad to a modern TV. However on an older Philips TV, there is no sound coming through. Do I need to use an audio cable from the optical digital audio port in addition to the HDMI cable? The TV's HDMI does not appear to support sound.
Thanks. However no luck with this TV so far. I've purchased a converter to give a digital audio signal from the optical digital audio output port. The TV has an input audio digital port, but I've had no success in getting sound so far.
Is there any setting in the Apple TV menu that may affect the signal. I've tried the setting for 16 bit signal, without any success.
Perhaps this Philips TV may just not be compatible with the new black Apple TV. I have talked at some length with Philips support desk, but they've offered nothing new. -

Ipod nano 7g plays on the dock adapter but there is no sound
Hi, posting on behalf of a parent. Recently bought the ipod nano 7g and bought the lightning 30 pin adaper. When plugged into the stereo the ipod plays as the song timer advances but there is no sound coming through. Any suggestions what to try. I did advise buying a new adapter in case it is faulty.
Check with the manufacturer of the stereo to see if their device is compatible with the adaptor.

I have found, in the past few days, since the latest update to Mountain Lion, if the Mac is put to sleep, there is no sound available when it wakes. I have to re-start to get sound back. Is this general??

Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.

Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.

I can watch video's but there's no sound!
The video stream is working fine... but there's no sound that comes from the video... it was working fine yesterday i got the new version of the flash player and it just stopped working. Can someone help me?
I just contacted my computer manufactor which is HP... and they helped me out.... but i'm not sure what adobe flash had to do with it.
