Hi, therbi, and welcome to the Community,
On which version of Skype?
On which operating system - computer or device?

Thanks,

  • I just installed FF, and I want a SIMPLE way to copy all my bookmarks. Why isn't there a menu item to do this? The need seems OBVIOUS!

    I simply want to make a copy of all of my wife's "Favorites", i.e. your Bookmarks. In FireFox, PrntScrn won't do it, Windows "Snippets" won't do it, and any HELP answers I've seen are hidiously complex. The need/desire to have a paper copy or Word copy of her bookmarks (of course, WITH URL's) seems completely, blatantly obvious. Why all the secrecy? Why isn't there a MENU item to make a copy of the list of Bookmarks??
    And no, I'm not going to try AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN to do the Export/HTLM solution, whatever that means. Sheesh. I'm 10 minutes into FireFox and I'm ready to go back to I.E.

  • There is no Exit menu item on my Files menu, can't add Adobe Acrobat Document to Applications.

    Firefox 3.6.12, Reader 9.4, (reinstalled).
    Firefox downloads a pdf file rather than opening it.
    Adobe Acrobat Document is not listed as an application (Tools>Options>Applications from FF menu).
    FF support page suggests opening profile, then File>Exit and deleting a file. However, there is no Exit option on my File menu.
    The Adobe forum feels that this is a Firefox problem, especially since Reader works file with both IE8 and Chrome.
    I want to make it work in Firefox....any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Solved with a workaround. Initial confusion was that Exit was referring to the main Firefox browser, not the window that opened with File. Then had to delete the dll file suggest by Mozilla support. There was also an apparent conflict between Adobe Acrobat and Reader.
    Working for now.

  • HT3500 To add a wireless adapter to my Airport Extreme network using WPS, documentation recommends adding it under "Add wireless clients" in Airport Utility but there's no such an item anywhere in v6

    I am trying to connect an Iogear Wifi adapter from my home entertainment center to my Airport Extreme home network (secured with personal WPA) using WPS. Apple's support literature says to do this through Airport Utility (v.6) choosing Manual Setup from Base Station Menu and Add Wireless Client. After hours of searching and fiddling I cannot find "Manual setup" or "Add Wireless Client" in the Airport Utility (v.6). HELP.  andy

    Those instructions are for Airport Utility v5.5.3 or v5.6. As a matter of fact, Airport Utility 6.0 does NOT have that options. So assuming you have Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4, you have to download and install Airport Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion. Then follow those simple instructions you have.

  • What happened to the "Organized Bookmarks" menu item in FF5?

    I want to export my FF5 bookmarks for backup and syncing purposes, and so I looked up "Exporting bookmarks to an HTML File" in Help and I read this: "On the menu bar, click on the Bookmarks menu and choose Organize Bookmarks....". In my copy of FF5, there is no such menu item???

    I can't understand why "Organize Bookmarks" was changed to "Show All Bookmarks", the former was obvious to its intent, the latter would imply that some bookmarks in the list were hidden!

  • What's up with the Develop Safari menu item?

    I recently noticed on this MBP a Safari menu tab labeled "Develop" which is located between the Bookmarks and Window menu items.
    On my other MBP there is no such menu item.
    I have the Apple developer installed on both boxes, so that's not necessarily the reason.
    Under this Develop menu item are such odd items as
    Show Snippet Editor
    Show Web Inspector
    and many other interesting items.
    Does anyone else have this item and if so, how did it get there?
    I just found out the answer myself.
    It's selectable in the Preference->Advanced menu
    Try it - it's interesting.

    As far as I can make out the Develop menu replaces the old Debug menu. The Debug menu was somewhat arcane, requiring a 3d-party utility program or a Terminal command to make it appear. In early versions of Safari, I believe there was a means to send Safari bug reports to Apple (now moved to the Safari menu).
    I used Debug mostly for websites that didn't recognize or weren't compatible with Safari. The User Agent option, that allows Safari to address websites as if it were a different browser, was very helpful. There was a period of several months, before my bank geared up for Safari, when I had to pretend to be using IE in order to access my account. There is still the occasional page that works best with IE, but that's becoming ever more rare.
    In the current OS 10.5.4 (Safari 3.1.2), the Terminal command no longer activates the Debug menu. And, the User Agent option appears in the new Develop menu. Also, the Develop menu is neater, i.e., fewer, better-organized options and nicer windows. Finally, as you note, it's more-easily accessible, from within Safari itself, so I assume it represents Apple's most-recent conclusion as to how to deal with these "hidden" features that most users will never need.

  • Where are the SSRS menu items?

    Hi
    I've set up Sharepoint Foundation 2013 and Reporting Services 2014 in integrated mode. I've created a library and added my data source to that library. I've created another library for reports, and uploaded a report there. However, I remember that in SharePoint
    2010 there used to be menu items for reports such as "Manage Data Sources" and so on, which are not there in 2013.
    I've been through the steps to add the Report Builder Report content type to the library and make it the default. I've tried uploading rdl files manually, deploying them through Visual Studio, and creating them from scratch using Report Builder from the
    Files>New Document>Report Builder Report ribbon item. Still no menus.
    Are they no longer available in SharePoint 2013 or have I misconfigured something somewhere? I was hoping to be able to bulk upload a bunch of rdl's and point them individually at my data source. I'll be able to do it another way, but now I'm really confused
    as to where the option has gone.
    Any ideas?
    Duncan

    Hi Trevor
    Yes, I had to in order to get the reporting services integration to work. I've got 2 servers, and SharePoint Foundation and SQL Server Standard, so for licencing cost reasons I installed SharePoint on both the SharePoint and SQL Servers, and SQL Express
    on the main SharePoint server. Not best practice I realize, but since SharePoint is free and SQL is not, I couldn't intall full SSRS on the SharePoint server as my understanding was that I would need 2 SQL licences rather than one.
    So I've got a farm with 2 SharePoint servers, one of which just runs the Reporting Services service, secure store service and workflow timer service and is on the SQL Server. The main SharePoint server has the SSRS add-in installed, and runs everything else
    - Central Admin, the site collection, Claims to Windows Token service, Search etc. The main server has a copy of SQL 2014 Express for its various databases, and the SSRS databases are on the SQL Server.
    I hope that makes sense!

  • Missing menu items, iMac OS9 anyone?

    I have an old 333MHz iMac, I just installed OS9.2.1 on it but there are some strange problems:
    1# There are some missing menu items, like 'Restart', 'Select all' and 'Get info', the keyboard shorcuts don't work for these either.
    2# There is a modem in the computer but this does not show up under the 'Apple System Profiler'.
    I have reset the PRAM and the System seemed to install OK. All extensions are on.
    Anyone any ideas?
    G4 DP 1.25   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

    Hi, Mike -
    You're quite welcome.
    When you open the Modem control panel and attempt to connect to the modem, do you get any message indicating the port is already in use? If so, it is probably AppleTalk interfereing - it can do that even if AppleTalk has been turned off. To fix that, in the AppleTalk control panel reset AppleTalk to use a different port - if you need it for the printer, select that; otherwise, select an unused port such as Remote or Ethernet.
    It may also help to trash the file ASLM Preferences and restart.

  • How to invoke a plug-in menu item via Javascript?

    Hi, I installed a plug-in on my Acrobat Pro v11, it shows a plug-in menu, and there's one menu item in this plug-in menu dropdown. I can manually select that menu item and it does what it's designed to do.
    My question is, how do I use javascript to invoke it, to achieve the same result as when I manually select that menu item?
    I tried using this "app.execMenuItem("name-of-menu-item");" under my click event of a button on the PDF form, but it didn't work.
    What have I done wrong? How to make it work?
    TIA

    Thanks to all those who responded.
    Actually I got it working soon after I posted the question.
    However, I don't know, my trial&error way seems to be a little different from all those documents I read.
    So, I am not exactly sure if it's the correct way to do this sort of thing or not.
    It certainly is not very end-user friendly IMHO.
    I will describe what I did below, if you know of a better way, please let me know, thank you.
    First, I put a folder-level script in the Acrobat install folder, the so-called "app" level;
    because when I used the getPath("user", "javascript") call, it returned an error without giving me the user-level path.
    Anyway, my script (the .js file) looks like this:
    xyz = app.trustedFunction(
                 function() {
                  app.beginPriv();
                  app.execMenuItem("ADBE:myxyz");
                  app.endPriv();
                  return;
    Then, on my form's button-click event, I make a call
      xyz();
    and that got it to invoke the menu item "myxyz" successfully.
    But... I can't say I like my solution:
    1) I don't like the .js file, because I'll have to put it in all my users' Acrobat install folders.
         Extremely inconvenient.
         Is there a way to make it work without using the folder level script???
    2) The script itself, I am not sure if it makes sense or not.
         I can't say I understand all these trustFunction and Security stuff;
          it just so happened that it worked for me, but I don't know why.
          so, maybe there could be a simpler script that can also work?
    3) If I put the "beginPriv()" , "execMenuItem()" and "endPriv()" lines directly in the Button-click event,
          I got an error message in the Acrobat console, something like:  "your security settings does not allow....";
          in fact, I tried many many different ways to write this Button-click script, none of them worked without the folder-level .js file.
          But I hope somebody could come up with a way to make it work without the folder-level script file....
          Is there a way to change the "security settings" without using the .js file?
    4) The execMenuItem is also a headache, sorry about complaining... but... sometimes it just silently exited without doing anything,
          and without returning any error messages... how am I supposed to know what went wrong when it's so quiet?!
           Furthermore, why does it insist on taking the full name of the menu item?  I mean, why do I must put the "ADBE:" part in there?
          there's no other menu item named "myxyz", right?
          I remember Adobe's founders once said that "making our customers' lives easier" was what drove them to work everyday.
          execMenuItem() certainly didn't listen to what they said.

  • Forms 6i Menu Items not Lauchning (FRM-40010: Cannot read form...)

    Sorry for the newbie issue - I just haven't been able to figure this out...
    I inherited maintenance of a old Oracle Forms Application, I was told it was version 5. And all the source modules were appended with "v05" like form1_v05.fmb, etc. I since discovered that when the users launch it they run against the forms 6i run time - so I guess this means it is actually a forms version 6i application.
    The App has about 20 forms, 20 reports and a menu - and no project.
    I copied all the source files into a working directory, then I created a project with the project builder using the "use all files in the current directory".
    When I run the app ( by drilling down to this app's "logo" form - a splash screen contain our company logo, and a Menu structure it runs fine.
    But just about every menu item I attempt to select ( i.e. MENU->Catagory1->OrderForm or in my case something like MENU->Inbound->Entry/Maintenance) results in no new form launching and the status bar contains the error message like "FRM-40010: Cannot read form order_v05.fmx"
    In the above example the project does contain a order_v05.fmb, and it compiles fine ( in fact a project "build all" generates no errors or warnings ) - my single working directory contain all the source modules ( like fmb's, rdf's and mmb's) and compiled versions ( fmx's, mmx ) . Specificlly the order_v05.fmx is also there.
    So why can't the app find the compiled form compiled in the same project and located in the same directory?
    I also see several ERR files but the only thing the err files contain is a whole lot of lines saying things like " Compiling POST-FORM trigger on form... No compilation errors."
    Any help getting this beast to run would be appreciated.

    I may have a clue as to what is causing the issue, but don't know how to fix it.
    I started poking in the menu items, and the child menu item that is supposed to do something runs some "Menu Item code" like this:
    begin
         hide_window('DLG_MAIN');
    CALL_FORM( 'out_order_v05.fmx'
    , no_hide
    , do_replace
    , no_query_only
    , no_share_library_data );
    show_window('DLG_MAIN');
    end;I made a NEW root menu item, with a new child menu item and set it's "Menu Item code" like this:
    begin
         hide_window('DLG_MAIN');
    CALL_FORM( 'C:\Data\_OraFroms\ITFS_V05\order_v05.fmx'
    , no_hide
    , do_replace
    , no_query_only
    , no_share_library_data );
    show_window('DLG_MAIN');
    end;And when I made this change, my new menu item launched the form, but the original one did not ( notice the only difference is my new menu item gives a fully qualified path to the file name ).
    So it looks like my project is clueless as to it's own home directory - anyone know how I clue it in?

  • No Deactivation Menu Item?

    I want to move Dreamweaver CS3 to a new computer. I want to
    deactivate the license on the old computer first. However, when I
    click the Help menu, there are no Activate or Deactivate menu items
    listed. The two menu items called Download e-license and Return
    e-license are there but are grayed out.
    Does anyone know how I should deactivate Dreamweaver CS3
    since I appear to be missing the menu items. I already have the
    product installed on 2 machines (per the license agreement) so I
    think it will be important to deactivate this one before I install
    it on a 3rd machine.
    Thanks!

    There is no iTunes menu item for photos. When you connect your iPhone in iTunes left sidebar (under "Devices") the main window will show the iPhone sync selections. Across the top of the window are sic tabs, each of which can be selected by clicking on them. They are Summary, Info, Ringtones, Music, Photos, Videos, and Applications. That's the photo tab you need to click.
    See the picture on page 9 of the manual.

  • Missing menu items in CS4 - PDF Presentation

    I downloaded the 30 day trial of CS4 and I can't make a PDF presentation (which I do daily in CS2). There should be a menu item in Photoshop under automate and from Bridge, under tools, Photoshop, PDF presentation. I read through the documentation for CS4 and they should be there... why aren't they? I need this tool any ideas why it's missing in CS4 for me?

    In another thread, this relevant exchange between myself, Anne and Rene occurred on this very subject. Had I known, I would have posted here instead. Ms. Guo, if you are indeed listening, consider putting this one back...because, specifically with open Photoshop files, it can't be pulled off in Bridge. Jbeezer points out another major problem:
    "There is no control over compression and it yields a much larger PDF as in over 5x for my previous example."
    Here is the earlier exchange:
    Anne said:
    "And it isn't called "Automate->PDF Presentation" in CS4 either.
    It has been replaced by a multi-page PDF that you create from Bridge CS4's Output Panel and then edit in Acrobat Pro if you need to finesse transitions etc.."
    I said:
    I did find that in my hunt. It doesn't work anywhere near as quickly or as well as it did in PS CS3. Not even close. It can't deal with open PS documents (at least I couldn't find a way) and it can't be set to completely remove the "jpg'ing". I tried for a few hours to get it to output a decent PDF within Bridge and just gave up. Moving over to Acrobat Pro to "fix" pretty much negates the whole Bridge step. It's actually faster to completely skip Bridge and just make a PDF directly in Acrobat Pro.
    There was no reason to remove this function at all. It wasn't broken and it didn't need fixing. Yet another reason to keep PS CS3 resident...particularly because the PS CS3 parameters actually does this trick (PDF from open PS images) faster and with better quality than Acrobat Pro does with saved/converted PDF files ...in one easy step. When you get right down to it, the function Automate>PDF Presentation wasn't moved over to Bridge. It was removed.
    Rene said:
    "For more info, see "Where did Extract & others features go?"
    http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2008/10/where_did_extra.html"
    I said:
    That's funny. There is no other information on Automate>PDF presentation in Nack's blog:
    * Picture Package, Contact Sheet, Web Photo Gallery, and PDF Presentation have been replaced by the new Output module in Bridge CS4. Of these the first three are in the optional download package, while PDF Presentation no longer works in CS4.
    * In CS4 we made some hard calls and retired a number of features. Some of these can be added back into CS4 (see Mac & Windows downloads) while others are gone for good."
    "Gone for good" applies here.
