There is no sync choice in Tools/Options!?

So how do I get a sync choice?

In order to use Firefox Sync, you have to be running the most recent version of Firefox. Please go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], and download the most recent version of Firefox (11 at the time of writing). Once you have the newest Firefox installed, go into the Firefox button, then inside there you have a "set up Sync" option.

  • No Sync button in Tools/Options, so cannot sync this new PC

Have established a Firefox Sync Key account using my iMac, and am trying to sync my PC, using the sync key. Unfortunately, there is no sync button in the Tools, Options menu after the Advanced button, so there is no opportunity to be able to sync my PC (Win 7 64 bit).

If you did have Firefox 6.0.2 the Sync menu item would be in the Options window. Plus the UserAgent of the browser you used to post here is for Firefox 3.6.3.
Take a look at Help > Troubleshooting Information -> Application Basics > Version and see which version it says that you have installed.

  • How to disable Tools, Options menu in Disc 4i Plus java applet

    Discoverer 4i Plus 4.1.37.01.0
I have a single username that will be shared by a group of people pulling reports out of Discoverer 4i Plus web page.
Is there any way to disable the Tools, Options menu in the web java applet so that users can't change the user preferences
in these tabs. I am using a pref.txt file, but any user that changes the user preferences thru above menu changes the setting
for everyone using that username to access the reports. Even when I bounce the prefs and disc processes, the user-changed
values are still there from when that user made the changes in the java applet.
Discoverer Viewer is not an option because the users have to pass in parameters before their query executes (no single
canned reports for everyone in use).
    Thanks for any help..
    Kate

You can use the BetterTouchTool to reassign the green traffic light pre-Yosemite behavior:
Select "Other" category at the top of the window.
Make sure that "Global" is selected at the left side.
Click "Configure New Trigger" button in the bottom part of the window.
Select "Leftclick Green Window Button" as trigger.
Select "Zoom Window Below Cursor" as predefined action.

  • PSE 11 - Moving Tool Options to top

I just upgraded my mom from PSE5 to PSE11....is there a way to detach the Tool Options from the BOTTOM and move it back up to the top? I'm finding it's confusing her because she likes to have her Photo Bin open at all times and she's used to seeing the Tool Options appear at the top like in previous versions of PSE.
Is there a plugin that can change it or an option someplace I'm missing?

Why? Why would they do that?
They've conditioned us for YEARS to look for the tool options at the TOP of the program...why are they WASTING real-estate at the top for the "Quick | Guided | Expert" tabs then shove everything to the bottom of the program?
Now, to access the Photo Bin requires an extra click EVERYTIME you want to use it. How is that efficient? How is that an improvement?
C'mon Adobe, I'm tired of this...you try this with all of your programs and it's getting old! If it isn't broken, you don't need to fix it.
It's taken me 5 years to train my mom how to use your program! I will have to downgrade her to version 10 now and that will have to be the last version of the program we ever buy.

  • There is no Sync tab in my firefox tools option menu

There is no Sync tab in my firefox>tools>option menu

Firefox Sync is built in to Firefox 4 and later. If you are using Firefox 3.6, it is available as an add-on:

Do you have the Firefox Sync extension installed?

  • The Sync Feature is not opening in Tools Options. Help!

I have the Xoom and downloaded the Firefox app. I tried syncing to my account on the laptop but when I go to Tools>Options there is no sync option. I have installed the newest version of Firefox on both my laptop and the Xoom. Help!

The Sync tab only appears if the Firefox Sync add-on has been installed, or you are using the Firefox 4 beta builds. It sounds like you need to install the Firefox Sync add-on on the work computer.

  • Firefox 10.0.2 / Does not offer restore session - Tools/Options lack Startup options choice

After closing Firefox - starting again does not offer a Restore Session option. Tools/Options lacks any choice for startup options.
How do I remedy this problem.

The Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting should still be there.
Can you attach a screenshot of the Tools > Options > General window?
Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • In Tools Options Tabs, my choice is to 'open new window in new tab.' Only opens tab, never window.

Running Firefox version 35.0.1 in Windows 8.1.
In Tools>Options>Tabs, my choice is to 'open new window in a new tab instead.' Whether the box is checked or not checked, I ONLY get tabs, no window. I do not want tabs for anything.
How can I fix it so I check the box and get a window?
    Thank you.

Uncheck that box in order to open new tabs in a new window.
To have complete control, however you can right click on any link and choose "Open in new window" regardless of what is checked in that setting.
    I hope this helps.

  • HT204150 will merging contacts from a macbook air with iCloud duplicate my contacts?  There is no sync option given, only 'merge'!

will merging contacts from a macbook air with iCloud duplicate my contacts?  There is no sync option given when I select contacts in my iCloud preferences screen, only 'merge'!  Before I do it I'd like to know if I'll create a ton of duplicates.  If yes, then how do you link contacts from your macbook with icloud?  Thanks

If the same contacts exist in iCloud and on your MBA then there will clearly be duplicates. Export the contacts from the MBA, (On My Mac account) and then delete the content of the On My Mac account, then join iCloud on the MBA.

  • In Tools, Options, there is a checkbox that states "ask me before clearing cache" I do not want to be asked. How do I get that box unchecked?

In Tools, Options, there is a checkbox that states "ask me before clearing cache". It was checked by Firefox not me. I do not want to be asked. How do I get that box unchecked?

You are using a very old version of Firefox that is no longer supported.
You should upgrade to the latest Firefox 3.6 version from [http://www.mozilla.com]. Let me know if this fixes the issue.

My PC is synced but on my laptop the tools option has no sync tab to link the two.

Have you installed the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/firefox-sync/ Firefox Sync] extension in the laptop? The Sync tab only appears in Firefox 3.6.* if the Sync extension is installed or if using Firefox 4.
