Do you have the Firefox Sync extension installed?

If you have and it still isn't working then try to revert to the Default Theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes) and disable all other extensions except Firefox Sync.

When I click on the Tools tab, the Sync Set Up is not an option. The only choice is "sync now". When I click this option, nothing happens. Why is this happening?

It looks as if Sync was already set up. what you can do is go Tools, the options, then into the sync tab. See if an account is already connected to the computer or not.

Messages icon indicates that there is an unopened message but when i go into it the message is blank and no option to delete it. Any ideas how i can get rid of this and stop it from opening up in the blank message each time i open my messages?

Hard restart.. While the phone is powered in, hold the power and home button. Hold them down and keep them held down. the phone will eventually shut itself off and reopen. keep held down till you see the appl elogo, then release. This will not delete anything off your phone, it will just force all apps to stop their current process. If you just turn the phone on and off, it will just pick up where it left off. Good luck

How do I change the number of spaces generated when I press the tab key when composing an email message?

I'm running Thunderbird 24.3.0 on Vista Home Premium.

Short answer is you can not.
Long answer is see short answer plus tabs are not for "Spaces" they are for measured distances. Modern operating systems use proportional fonts and a W is much wider than an I, whereas a mono spaced font such as IBM Courier uses the same space for both.

My tabs change when i sign into something else so instead of different tabs they all become the same

I play a myspace game and open a tab to one of my games. I sign out of that acct and log into another acct. The tab that I opened changes to the new login and so I cannot get more then one acct up on the tabs. It has not done this before and it does not do it with Opera, I can open more then one acct with different tabs.

Not able to use the Tab key to Tab indent when within a text edit window...

Two questions please... First one is above for the tab function. In Safari I just need to press control+option+tab to indent a tab within a text edit box on a website. This function is being used more via cloud and mobile capability.
Second... I can, in Safari, Copy and paste a site with tables. Works great in Safari. When I try to do this in FF I lose the formatting of the tables and it just give plain text without the tabled fields.
I would love to use FF because the compatibility if much greater than Safari, but... I need my functionality as well to do my work to the best and quickest ability.

Up until last week, I was able to use the tab key when typing emails and other multi-line text boxes.
Suddenly the behavior of the tab key changed. This isn't the first time. It's been quite a while ago that the function of the tab key changed from indenting to moving around the page, then after some time it changed back to indenting.
Can we get this fixed and leave it alone, please?
I may give one of those add-ins a try, but my problem with add-ins is that they break when FF is patched or upgraded, then I'm left with out the solution they provide.
Can we just fix Firefox, please?

P.S. Another potential fix I came across suggested starting FF in safe mode to see if the problem goes away. It does not. It seems to be a change to FF that appeared after an update last week. On or just befor 24 Apr.

Tab key all of a sudden is Command-Tab in client windows...

All of a sudden, whenever I use the Tab key when connected to any client, it acts as Command - Tab. For example, when I attempt to tab to another field in some form and press Tab, it brings up the open applications thing and scrolls through them. If I then press any other key, it acts as Command - "(whatever key I just typed)". If I press a k key, it acts as command - k. This only happens after pressing the tab key.
So basically, after pressing the tab key, all subsequent key presses act as if the command key is also being held down.
I have to disconnect and re-connect to that client to get it to stop doing that.
I do not see anything in the prefs to help with this. I did see one other forum topic about this but there was no fix posted. Sticky keys show nothing strange is going on with my keyboard. This is definetly an ARD issue. All local tab and command keys work as expected.

I found the issue... I use TypeItForMe, and part of the instructions for typeitforme is to turn on "Enable access for assistive devices" in Universal Access preferences. When this is turned on, in ARD when connected to a users machine and controlling it, if the Tab key is pressed all subsequent key presses act as if the Command key is also pressed.
I have turned off "Enable access for assistive devices" and now ARD behaves normally. However, I am unable to use TypeItForMe the way it's supposed to work.
So, not sure if it's a bug or normal behavior, but sure wish it wouldn't do that...

Data fetch from table without Refresh and without using tab key.

I have a problem i want to extract data from table without Refresh into text field without using Tab key. when i'll enter any value in a text field then corressponding value should come in to corressponding textfield without using Tab Key.
eg. when i enter emp_id 101 in a text field then the first_name and last_name ,adress should come in to corressponding text fields without refresh and without using Tab key.
How Can I do this.

If so, the only change you need to make on the first one is to use "onkeyup" instead of "onchange" in the item's "HTML Form Element Attributes" setting.
Note, however, that the user must move away from the item at some point (for example, to click a button), so the onchange will be triggered anyway.

ItemFocusOut not catching "TAB" key in Datagrid edited cell?

In DataGrid, "keyUp" can catch "TAB" key when it is pressed,
but the Keyboard event has less information needed. I tried
itemFocusOut, but it seems DataGridEvent would not catch it. Any
tips on how to make "TAB" key generate DataGridEvent or similar
event?

Let me rephrase like this:
In our application, a DataGrid’s edited cell has
“itemEditEnd” and “itemEditBeginning”
handlers defined. However when a “TAB” key is pressed
to navigate from one editable cell to another editable cell, none
of the above handlers can catch this special key stroke event.
Our intention is to make “TAB” key to emit an
event that can be caught by above handlers. Or, in other words, we
would like make “TAB” key to be similar(in the sense of
generating events) to that of “Enter” key when pressed.

How to recognize "tab" key?

i wrote an editor using swings. To provide input through console, i used the event handlers for keyboard events like
keypressed(), key released()etc.. i also provided some tool bar for opening a file, saving etc. i was able to define the action for almost all the keys on the keyboard, except for some keys. i was unable to get the control of tab key. when i am pressing a tab key, the control is movig on toll bar options only. the conrol is not getting int the frame, on which i used to display the text.
what i finally require is that how can i get the control of 'tab key' and how can i define some actions that are to be performed on pressing tab keys.
i will be thankful if any body can help me in this regard.

Tab key behaves unpredictably in email body?

How can I get consistent behavior of the Tab key when typing emails?
I type names and bill amounts, trying to line them up in the body of an email using the Tab key (Mail 2.1.3.)
It's difficult to demonstrate because, when pasted here, my tabs evidently are ignored. (In my email, all these dollar signs line up farther to the right:)

Susan $30
Bill $20
Fred $50
Often, though, everything lines up in my draft message. Then I hit 'send' & look at it in the sent mail, and now the amounts are out of line with each other. Some tabs worked and some didn't. (All in the same Mail application and same message.)
If I use only spaces instead of tabs, it's difficult to get the figures to exactly line up.
How do I do this?

Neue is installed but I never use it, just regular Helvetica.
I'd remove Nueue, it's a known problem.
I guess that's plain text?
Mail>Preferences>Composing, top line iirc, choices are Plain Text or Rich Text.
How does this relate to the Tab key?
Not certain, but many things can effect how Tabs are displayed, where a Tab stop might be, or whether it's even replaced by a number of Spaces.
Not on Tiger at the moment, but Helvetica 14 & Tabs line up in Mail here, of course that doesn't mean it will do the same on the receiving end.
