  • "There isn't enough memory to read worksheet" error when tried to open xlsx object from Powerpoint 2010

    Hi,
I have a powerpoint presentation (will call it A.PPTX) which has an embedded spreadsheet object (B.XLSX). I was able to double click the object in "A" and open "B.XLSX" as and when necessary.
today, i opened B from the A and inserted another spreadsheet C.XLSX as an object in B. Closed all the files and saved A.PPTX. when i tried double click and tried to open B.XLSX from the powerpoint, i am getting an error "There isn't enough memory to
    read worksheet"
Unfortunately, i don't have a backup of B.XLSX as I always edited it by opening it from the presentation. is there a way to recover it?
    Note:
    1. read through similar threads in the forum about errors while inserting objects or similar error in Powerpoint 2003. the solution provided did not help

    Hi
By the description, you want to recover the embedded worksheet in PowerPoint.
    Try following methods:
    1.Click to the presentation file
2.Change the file extension from pptx to zip
3.Open the file, locate to ppt>embeddings
4.There you will see the embedded worksheet
5.Save the file to another path and open it
If the worksheet is still corrupted, following these steps to recover an Excel file:
1.Change the file extension from xlsx to zip
2.Open the file, locate to xl>workbook.xml
    3. These XML files contain the data of each spreadsheet.
4.Copy the data to a new worksheet and save

  • Can't finish previewing. There isn't enough memory. ID = -108

    We run CS5.
One of our clients sent us a file that they would like printed.  The file is 1MB in size, and in PDF format - nothing unusual about any of this.  As usual, I saved the file and tried to open it in Illustrator to set up a proof for our customer, and to check and make sure the file is print-ready.  I received the error: "Can't finish previewing.  There isn't enough memory. ID = -108".  I press OK and it opens up a blank file with some crop marks on it.
I've tried finding a solution online, but everyone who has this problem seems to have next to no RAM.  I'm running on a brand new computer with Windows 7, 16GB of RAM and the Intel Core i7 processor.  I didn't think my RAM or cache were the problem, but just to be sure, I shut off the computer, let it sit for a few minutes, and started it up again.  Same problem.
I am able to open the file in Photoshop and Acrobat - but even when I save the file at a lower resolution, and turn it into a jpeg, it still won't open.  I get the same error.
I need to be able to work with this file.  How can I resolve this?
    Thanks!

Hi Josh--I was out the remainder of the day and evening.
I don't know whether you have gotten to the bottom of the problem yet. The PDF seems to just consist of an image. It opens and places fine here in everything I have that can do so.
There doesn't seem to be anything extrodinary about the file. It included crop marks, but as far as I can see, there's nothing way out on the artboard, etc., that could indicate there was something weird.
If you would like a file, I can ZIP an AI file and the extracted image--which you can also do from Acrobat as well.
    Take care, Mike

  • "Can't copy the type. There isn't enough memory. ID=-108"

I'm running Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, iTunes and Suitcase. In Illustrator I get an error: "Can't copy the type. There isn't enough memory. ID=-108"
How is this possible with 4gb of ram and 242 gb available on my hard drive? Is my new MBP a lemon?

Illustrator itself it's what's short of memory, these tips apply to After Effects and the same error message so see if you can apply them in Illustrator.

  • Excel (There isn't enough memory to complete this action)

    Hi,
Everytime multiple Excel spreadsheets are open we keep getting the error message saying:
There isn't enough memory to complete this action.
Try using less data or closing other applications.
    To increase memory availability, consider:
    - Using a 64-bit version of Microsoft Excel.
    - Adding memory to your device
I have tried to increase the memory to 8GB and re-installed to 64-bit version but the application keeps doing the same thing. It freezes occasionally, blank screen appears.
What can i do to resolve this?

    Hi George:
    1. Is this occurring on multiple computers or just one? (You wrote 'We' ...") -
    Just one machine
    2. What is the total RAM and operating system on this computer / these computers? -
    8GB Ram using Windows 7
    3. After a fresh boot, do you still get this message when using Excel spreadsheets ONLY? -
Yes after a fresh boot only happens with Excel
    4. Did this just happen now with spreadsheets successfully used over a period of time? -
    Yes thats correct
    Hi Robbery:
You may be right about the formula calculation but these are spreadsheets that have been modified over
time so we cant start from fresh. I tried to increase the virtual memory but still no joy.

  • The i tune music library cannot be saved because there isn't enough memory available. (but there is more than enough)

    Hi
I'm re creating my library and a window keep appearing saying that " my music library cannot be saved because there isn't enough memory available". There more than enough memory for what I 'm doing and I don't know what to do.
    Please some help
    thank you !!

For resolving your issue, you are able to do as the followings :
     1.Close  any SkyDrive related process
2.Open  a command prompt (not PowerShell), and change to the directory where Microsoft Office 2013 is installed by typing the command below:
     cd C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\
3.Then type “groove.exe /clean /all” to clear all SkyDrive Pro cache and settings, setting it back to default again

  • Does anyone else think that the AppleMac group of products are marketed in a greedy way? I have MacBook Pro 10.5.8 and am now told that I have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to sync my new iPad. Of course there isn't enough memory on the MacBook? I'm angry!

Does anyone else think that the AppleMac group of products are marketed in a greedy way? I have MacBook Pro 10.5.8 with Leopard and am now told that I have to upgrade to Snow Leopard so that my system can download the relevant iTunes upgrade to sync my new iPad and get my audiobooks (which don't appear anywhere on the device right now). Of course there isn't enough memory on the MacBook and Snow Leopard costs more also? I don't have financial resources to pay for all the new memory requirement and related upgrades they say I need just to sync my iPad with my purchases.

Thanks for the reply but I already knew this. $20 for Snow Leopard which asks for 5gb free memory. I can only see that I have 4 gb (which I feel is rather a pathetic amount of available memory for any computer). To upgrade this computer's memory will cost another fee (I haven't researched this yet but gather it's more than $20). Then of course I could also be told that the OSX Mackbook Pro that I have can't be memory upgraded - which means I'm being told to buy a new computer - hence my very frustrated last email. I have been given a lovely iPad 2 as a present and now can't sync at all with anything because of this ongoing upgrade nightmare. How on earth am I going to be able to sync my movies, audiobooks etc to this new device??

  • The operation cannot complete because there isn't enough memory (RAM) available

    Illustrator CS5 Verison 15.1 on a MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013 Processor  2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3,
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB. Illustrator opens .ai and .pdf files. When I try to open a .dwg file, I get the following message, “The operation cannot complete because there isn’t enough memory (RAM) available”. I have been using the program for some time to successfully open .dwg files. This is a recent occurrence and I have not made any changes to the hard drive other than installing OS 10.9

Have you already opened that specific file at some former time?
Have you already tried a restart?
    Apart from that:
Illustrator CS5 cannot use more than 3 GB of RAM, no matter how much is installed. OS 10.9 causes all kinds of problem even with newer versions of Illustrator.

  • There is not enough memory error with 8gb installed

    Description:
I'm getting an error when trying to copy or cut a collection of basic shapes in CS6 on Mac OS X 10.8.
    It reads:
There is not enough memory to complete the operation.
To increase available memory, close other open documents or applications.
But when i check activity monitor there is plenty of memory available. I can succesfully copy a smal(ler) amount of shapes.
    Steps already taken:
Tried copying after a system restart with no other programs running.
Tried adding more memory (i had 4gb originally, I just upgraded to 8gb).
    I reinstalled Flash
I tried the same procedure (copying the same amount of shapes) on another machine with a similar amount of RAM and this works fine.
Is there a way you can allocate more memory to flash, or is this some setting that i'm missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.s. I read this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/3609214#3609214, and my problem is only different in that i don't have some huge files i'm dealing with. The .fla is only ~10mb.

    Thanks for chiming in Mataxia.
One thing you can try is selecting the layers that have the shapes you want to copy. Then right click and choose copy layers. In my case this works even though selecting just the shapes (instead of the layers) will cause the memory error.
I'm using this as a workaround, but i can imagine that this isn't of any help in all cases.
This confirms my suspicions that this is a bug in flash. Would be great if someone from Adobe were reading this...

  • "There was not enough memory" error message when saving DNG and Jpeg

PC/Windows XP Pro. Pentium 4/2Gb RAM.
I am constantly getting memory errors when trying to save batches of images from ACR4 either as Jpegs or DNGs.
A couple of images in to the batch a small window appears with a list of the files and next to each of them is the line: "There was not enough memory."
These are 220Mb TIFF files that are processed in Hasselblad's Flexcolor on the same computer. I can process an entire folder full (sometimes 50 images) without a hitch in Flexcolor, but Bridge/ACR4 and CS3 can't handle any reasonable number of images.
Could it be something in my settings? For the record, they are:
In Bridge, under Edit/Preferences/Camera RAW preferences, Camera Raw Cache is set to 10Gb. Jpeg and Tiff handling boxes are both ticked.
Under Edit/Preferences/Cache, Cache Size slider is slightly over half way to the right.
In addition, I have CS3 pointed to a formatted 500GB scratch disk all to itself.
And CS3's RAM is set to 80%.
Finally, this computer is used for nothing else except image editing.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    D.

    Thomas,
    Thanks for the reply.
If you mean by "Public Beta", did I download the 10.4Mb plug-in (as per John Cornicello's link above) and install it at Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats in place of the old plug-in, then yes.
I always run ACR4 via Bridge, never via CS3. CS3 always comes after conversion in my workflow. Also, I like to give Bridge/ACR a free run of available resources. Nothing else is ever open when I'm running them.
In CS3 under Edit/Preferences/File Handling, under Image Previews I selected 'Never Save'. Not sure if this affects ACR though.
Also, as per the suggestion in the article referred to in my last post, I removed the tilde ~ to activate the Bigger Tiles plug-in. CS3's memory % is now set @ 90%.
The only thing I haven't done is to activate the Microsoft 3Gb switch. I can't find instructions that are clear enough. Also, it may be that it makes no difference when running Vista 64bit, as I am.
For what it's worth, with these fine tunings, CS3 now executes the Retouch Artist's Speedtest in 20 seconds, a shade faster than before. This is extremely fast, so my setup should not be the problem here. I hope! ;-)
Finally, is there any point in trying LR? Or is its file saving/cache setup the same as ACR's?
Thanks for taking an interest in my case. I'm very happy to be a guinea pig since I will constantly have to process large numbers of files and I'd like to overcome this problem
    Many thanks.
    D.

  • "Itunes library cannot be saved, there is not enough memory" Error Message

Every time when I leave my mac to play songs on iTunes in shuffle mode or when I select a few songs (such as by the same singer), this error message ("Itunes library cannot be saved, there is not enough memory") would appear after a while, and my iTunes would then crash by itself and an option to 'Reopen' or to 'Report the problem to Apple' box would pop up.
However, this just does not make any sense to me. My mac is a Macbook Pro 2011, 13" with i5 sandybridge processor, 4G RAM, how could it ran out of virtual memory when I am only playing SEVEN songs by the same singer?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or should I send this computer back to Apple and ask them to check it?
    Thank you!

I'm getting the same message -- "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. There is not enough memory available." It just started popping up every time I do anything on iTunes, but I haven't updated the program recently (iTunes 10.4.1.10, for the record), and have been using it on this computer (Win7) for over a year.
I checked the archived responses to this problem, and just about all of them are about its other cause ("You do not have enough privileges for this operation"), and the others are about incompatabilities with early Windows 7 (and are several years old), so I don't imagine they're completely relevant.
Please, does anyone know anything to help?

  • "There was not enough memory" error, DNG conversion.

I have CS4 and I like to convert my files to dng, however, I can't seem to do it on multiple raw files, because after fifty or so, I get the message, Incomplete because 'There was not enough memory.'
I originally thought this may have had something to do with Bridge and trying to save way too many files through acr in bridge, since bridge is a bit of a ram hog at times and has cache issues, so I tried using the Adobe DNG Converter standalone application, and the same thing happened.
I am trying to convert just over a thousand images, NEF, about 15M each.  I have several hundred gigs of HD space, GeForce 8600GT video, 2G ram, WinXP SP2.
I track my actual memory usage and adobe dng converter has never used more than 6MB of memory.
Anyone know why I can't convert my files?

I want to try to reproduce this problem, a few questions...
Which version of the DNG converter did you use (the latest is 5.5)?
    What camera produced the NEFs?
What NEF settings did you use, if any, compressed, uncompressed, 14-bit, etc.?
What DNG conversion settings did you use?
Did the NEFs already have settings (XMP sidecar files?). If you did have settings, what kind of settings, just basic adjustments, or did the settings also include localized corrections, spot heals, etc.?
    Thanks,
    David

  • I'm trying to install Word for Mac, but it doesn't contain enough memory.  Any suggestions?, I'm trying to install Word for Mac on my 10.7.4, but there isn't enough memory.  Any suggestions?

I need to install Word for Mac on my MacBook OS X Lion 10.7.4, but there are two problems:  1)  Microsoft sells only Office, not the individual programs, and 2) I don't have enough memory to do so (2 GB).  Any suggesions?  I'm currently using Pages, and it's worthless.  Should I install more memory and buy Office for Mac?  Is there another decent word processing program (preferably downloadable) that will convert my documents to Word?
Thank you so much for your help and suggestions!

I woud buy a 4 GB RAM package and install it.  RAM is cheap these days and the additional RAM would also improve the performance of your other programs as well.  I have used MS Office for Mac as well as other free downloads, i.e., Open Office and Libre Office.  I have found that Open Office anf Libre Office perform just as well as MS Office and, because they are a free download also save you money.  Another advantage is that they also contain a database, which MS Office doesn't have.  They allow you to save files in MS format as well as standard text format.  I ave also used Pages and feel it is satisfactory, although a little clunky to use.  If you feel MS Office is the only program for you, then buy it and install it.  You really should consider adding the additional RAM as it will improve the performance of all your applications.

  • The operation cannot complete because there isn't enough memory (RAM) available? Anyone had this issue?

I was working on a file, closed it briefly, then reopened it but didn't open and continued to get the message that I don't have enough memory.
The file is not huge at all. 41.3 MB
Anyone had this issue before? Need help soon. Need to send this file to the printer.

OK. I figured it out. I just opened the file on Illustrator CS5 instead of CSS. It opened fine, but still didn't resolved the issue why CSS couldn't open that file, but CS5 can.
If anyone has an answer for that, I would really appreciate it.
Would prefer to send files to the latest software versus using an older program.
    Thanks!
