I have a £50 gift voucher and I tried to buy something with it, but it tells me there was a billing problem with a previous purchase and makes me put in my debit card details. When I log into my acc it ammediatly says there's a problem with my last purchase and to go to my purchase history to clear it. When I hit continue its suppose to take me to the history but it just loads then says cannot connect
the itunes says that it knows that there isan ipod there, but it doesnt recognize it. I have reset the ipod, restarted my computer, and reinstalled itunes.
Doublechecking. Have you tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components (Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, etc ...) and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

These are user-to-user forums, nobody on here will know what the problem with the previous purchase might be.
Does the name and address on your credit card match exactly the name and address on your iTunes account, and have you checked with your card issuer to see if they are ones who are declining it ? I Recently purchased a book from iTunes and according to my bank account the payment was successfull but now when I try to sownload anything it says there was a payment issue with my last purchase! How do I fix this? Do I have to pay again??

Have you previously bought items when you didn't have sufficient money on your account ? I tried downloading a free app and it asked for my billing information and when I entered it, it said that there was a billing problem with a previous purchase and I have to update it. I keep updating it and it wont let me verify it and I cant get any apps even if they are free, and I just Deleted some apps to make room for my new upate!
The message says: "The payment method has been denied, try another method"
I'm living in the same country and city since I was born, so I don't think the location is the problem.
And yes, I paid with the card a meal in Burguer King today. And nothing more. -

You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department at no charge using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button) and explain your problem to them.

I have an Australian card associated with itunes and the App Store. However, I am no longer in Australia and I wish to change my country of residence and card to the UK/English. When I try to change country, it says there's a problem with a previous purchase, meaning I have no money on the Australian card and therefore the previous purchase cannot be billed.
The only way I can pay for the previous purchase is by adding an English card but it won't let me do this.
Does this mean I have to somehow put money on the old Australian card to pay for the previous purchase? Or is there a way I can transfer the bill to an English new card?

ArronYou are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -

I have been trying to download apps from the app store and every time it tells me there is a problem with my previous billing and direct me to put in new billing information and every time i do that it still will not let me download any apps.

I just bought an Apple TV and am trying to set it up. I am connected to wireless, is having difficulties setting time and date. When I try to connect to iTunes and sharing. Sounds like it is more an issue of connecting to the internet. Not just the WiFi Some people have reported that performing a power cycle on their Internet router solved this.
