There's an error in my flash program upon upgrading from CS3 to CS4

First, i'm using AS3.
I cannot divulge too much, but i have a multiscene, fairly complex flash program that runs fine in CS3. Upon upgrading to Flash CS4 - i can open the file and edit it any which way, but when testing it (ctrl+enter) i get an error in the output window (1009) and a blank test window, as if it doesn't want to start.
Why?
i can only provide few specifics if needed. thanks.

There were changes in CS4 that could in some cases let you get away with things that you couldn't in CS3, mostly to do with going to a frame and trying to do something to an object that now exists on that frame. Error 1009 is what happens if you try to use something that isn't there yet. I guess it's possible that because CS4 is better at using objects at the new frame, that it may have triggered a problem that CS3 wouldn't have triggered.
In any case, first thing you could try is updating to the recent 10.0.2. That fixed a lot of issues, and may improve things for you:

We have had an administrator who upgraded from CS3 to CS4.
However, any of our other users still using CS3 now get the
following error message:

No they don't have to, at least I think so. If your
administror go to the menubar: Contribute>Administer
Websites> Choose the site you wish to set the settings for. In
'Compatibility' choose 'Transition Mode' and klik OK. This should
allow the other users to keep working in their version of
Contribute.

Now I perform the upgrade to r12.1.2, and I plan the route to be:

Please help to solve this problem. Is it also OUI problem? I have tried to upgrade opatch version, and it still cannot solve the problem.
I once tried patch 9216848, it makes the opatch work, but later when I finished installing this patch, I cannot see the forms as it says "magic number problem". Also the adworker always hangs when I do upgrade on R12.1.2 Patch 7303033. So I dun think it is a solution.

BTW, I'd like to ask where's my Database Initialiation File? I find init.ora and init<SID>.ora in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs in DB Tier, but I cannot find the lines -- pgamax_size. Which file I should edit and what things should I add / remove /edit?
pgamax_size is a hidden parameter (why you need to set this one?).

I want to set the Database Initialiation File because in Database Preparation Guidelines (ID: 761570.1), it says that:
1. Before performing any Applications upgrade or maintenance operations, customers must add the following to the database intialization file to disable fast validation for PL/SQL recompilations:
disablefast_validate=TRUE
The line should be commented out during the normal operation of the Applications system.
2. Customers using Oracle iRecruitment on Oracle Database 11gR1 must add the following line to their database initialization file::
event="31151 trace name context forever, level 0x100"
Setting this event provides a fix for the issue reported in bug 6952870.
3. If you encounter the error:
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 822904 bytes (pga heap, kco buffer)
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [dbgtfdFileWrite()+48]
set the pgamax_size initialization parameter to a larger value as follows: pgamax_size=104857600
and restart your database.
I wonder where I can modify these three parameters (which file to edit, and whether it is append / delete / modify values). Or I do not need to do these three points, or even I do not need to go through Database Preparation Guidelines (ID: 761570.1) because my database is 10.3.4 already?

Error in Access VBA Application when upgrading from Acrobat 8.0 to 9.0

Hello.
The company that I work for recently upgraded from Adobe Acrobat 8.0 to 9.0 and I`m experiencing some problems with my Access 2003 VBA Application that extracts text from PDF-files and insert it into a table. I have tried adding references to Adobe 9.0 Type Library, but still no luck. Anyone having any ideas for a workaround? See attatched image for error-message. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Deinstall Error for Old Grid Home after Upgrade from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2

Hi,
I just upgraded from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2, both the grid infrastructure and the databases, using out-of-place upgrade. There were no errors during the upgrade and was able to deinstall the old database homes with no issues. The configuration we have is two standalone database servers connected to a clustered ASM array.
Now I'm trying to remove the old grid infrastructure home using deinstall. I get the following exception in the log file:

Hi,
if you upgrade you will not deinstall the old home, but simply remove it with rm.
There should be a MOS Note describing the procedure (It might be necessary as well to update the inventory).
Unfortunately don't have access to MOS atm...

5% to 15% of sites fail to open due to 706 error. Started happening when I upgraded from FF 3.22; getting worse and worse with each FF 11 upgrade.

E.g., reading an online newspaper. I will open many tabs with different articles. About 1 out of 10 tabs will have a 706 error, which goes away when I click the reload button.
It's most noticeable then, but it occasionally happens (1 out of 10 sites) when I click a single link off my bookmarks menu, or manually enter a URL.
I think FF is not y waiting long enough for some kind of response from the remote link.

Flash builder 4 upgrade from Flex 3 Standard

Hiya.
I would like to know from Adobe if the upgrade options available a wrong or not? I've just bought an upgrade from FB3 Standard to FB4 Preminum (from Eligibility chart is SEEMS possible). The installer when I entered my FB3 Standard serial says it's wrong. At this point the possible answers are two for me: the upgrade processes on the site is wrong or there's something wrong with the installer. A would like a clarification as soon as possible.

I run into the same problem.
For me it was the only option available at the adobe online store (upgrade Flex3 -> FlashBuilder4 Premium)
so the registration number didn't work, saying that i have the wong product to upgrade (Flex3 standard)
I had to open a case for software destruction to get a refund for what i've allready payed and if i want the FlashBuilder4 serial i have to re-buy it at the online store
Custumer support told that this is the only solution.
It's a little bit annoying.
That is not a critic to the support team (was very friendly) it's just annoying that i can't get a standad serial for my purchase and that i have to wait some weeks to get the refund...
So be carefully while purchasing the upgrade and look twice to choose the right option at the store.
(Hopfully the right option is now available...)

Saving a flash file from cs3 to cs4 ruins the file!

Last time I used flash for an urgent commission I discovered a very heavy bug, which did cost me half a day of work and nearly the whole commission. What happened:
I saved a flash file originally created with Flash CS4 as CS3 because the Actionscript programmer did not have a newer version. When I reopened the changed file and typed CMD+S it saved the file without warning. This was momentous: when I re-opened the file, only the library contents did show up, the timeline and stage was empty. Trying to publish the movie again resulted in a program crash. Thus I had to rebuilt the whole flashfile from scratch the next day and calm down a very nervous (and important) customer. Since then I always chose "Save as" and change the format to "CS3", and – how about that! – the file stays intact.
So HOW can a software have a glitch like this be on the market? I would suggest to Adobe that the rework the whole code because flash seems to be very poorly coded. I experienced numerous minor bugs in the last years, but this one beats them all. You save a file and ruin it.
If anybody else has experienced this, I would like them to share their experiences. Not just with me – share them with the people responsible for this. Write to Adobe.

Just save. It'll open in previous versions.
BUT if you used features that are specific to CS6 (like vector strokes) those may not show up in previous versions.
If you want everything to show, flatten the image and save a copy.
If you want to show the structure of the file - avoid features that are new in CS6 and save as PSD..

Upgrade from CS3.3 to CS4 Web Premium but Flash CS4 doesn't install

I just installed my new version of CS4, and almost all the applications installed properly. All but Flash, that was greyed when I tried to make a "personal installation" and did not install at all when I used the "automatic" installation.
And there is something else : I had a beta version of Soundbooth, and Soundbooth neither was not installed. So, I presume I should uninstall it before trying again.
But what is it with Flash ?

Error on conditional mapping script after upgrading from 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.1

We have the following error while importing the data file on one location. The script is sitting on the Account Like mapping. It was working fine on 9.3.1 but not working on 11.1.2.1.
Even after I removed the Case statement (so just leave the Ifxxxxx,Thenxxxx,Elsexxx,End If), it still doesn't work.
Can anyone help please? Thank you !

Have you tried converting the value of the amount to a double? I just went up to 11.1.2.2 and had a similar problem when referencing the amount and using a number.

Error with deploying to IntegratedWebLogicServer upon upgrade to 11.1.1.3.0

I am new to JDeveloper and do not understand this error.
I have a application which ran before I upgraded to the new JDeveloper. The application uses EJB and I want to test them out in the web server so I create a sample client using the "New Sample Java Client" option when right clicking on the EJB bean. The EJB bean uses annotations to create the JNDI table. Here is the error.

Check your integrated wls if the EJB is already deployed on the server. Sometimes (e.g. if you close jdev without stopping the server) an older deployment is still present on the server.

Error in Auto Generated Reports after upgradation from 4.5B to ECC6

We are currently upgraded the system from 4.5B to ECC6.
We are having many reports with report names such as
'GP0HRYGE9KG1RM5HN4WY9MXC9E4'
'GP0IZ026BMC4SX5K8BISNZ00FSV' with few syntax errors in it.
Can any one suggest whether these are any auto generared reports , as the report starts from 'GP *'.
If so, please suggest how to regenerate the same.

Is there a fix for 0xc000007b - Win 8.1 ( after upgrade from 8 ) 64bit ?

I receive error : 0xc000007b when I launch any Adobe product. I had windows 8 and upgraded to 8.1, soon after no adobe products wants to work. Here is a milestone; After going throw a system recovery, which is a system image provided from HP in the form of 4 CDs, I installed windows 8 on a new hard disk as (Windows build 9200) which I think is test mode. Afterwards I went throw so many system upgrades, over 130, but in the mean while I installed AI and Photoshop and they were working fine until I was forced to upgrade to 8.1. The upgrade completed and since then I am unable to launch any Adobe product.
So far I find the issue previously occurred in windows 7 but I don't really understand these .dll files! Any suggestions on what may be the issue here? or a solution

Syntax error in F110 while making proposal,upgraded from 4.7ee to ECC6.0
