I'm a brand new iDVD user and I don't understand why when I press the preview button. It only previews 3 seconds of my menu screen but the annoying music (which I plan on changing) keeps playing. Any reason why this would happen?

It sounds like you have not completed importing Slides or clips into the iDVD.
I build my movie in iMovie then import it into iDVD. iDVD opens with the iMovie imported. You will see the main menu with a drop zone, You may add a picture here and change the text. You may also add chapters. But if you have completed all this while making your iMovie you can bypass the main menu and use the diagram button next to the play button. A window will open and you will see a diagram the first box asks you to drag your movie here if you want the movie to start playing when you insert the new burned disk in the DVD player. You want to move the contents of the third block in the diagram which is you Movie/Slideshow. Drag this box to the first box in the diagram this will make you movie start playing on insertion. You have bypassed the opening menu and your movie will play from the beginning of the iMovie with the iMovie themes. After moving your movie contents look to the lower right of the preview window and click the return button this will bring you back to the main menu. Ignore the main menu and click the burn wheel at the right of the sound slider. You should have inserted a blank DVD disk in your Mac.
iMovie will import stills and video clips and play them as you placed them in your time line if you have added music to play with the still pictures this will play just as you added them into iMovie in track 2 or track 3 if the button has been activated for those tracks. iMovie 6 is a very good application you can change the time for the slides but video clips and menu transitions are preset. You may also add titles to slides from the edit menu. You can clip music at the play head and move or delete the sound which may overlap a video with sound so the sound will not interfere during a video clip play. iMovie files are large depending on the length of play but when you export to iDVD the file becomes much smaller. I have a 10 GB movie that when exported to iDVD became 1 GB.

Only if you have a copy of them e.g. if they were on your iPad when you last backed then you can try restoring to that backup. But unlike on a computer there is no trashcan or recycle bin on an iPad, once they are deleted from an iPad then they are gone from it.

Is there a maximum number of pictures that can be uploaded to create a photo book? I can't seem to drag anymore pictures to my current project.

I have over 200 photos in my book and it was accepted. There is a limit on each widget though. The interactive widget seems to have a limit of around 30 or 40.

Since I downloaded IOS 7.1 my phone (4S) battery won't last more than eight hours and takes three or four hours to charge. There must be a bug in this IOS that affects battery life.

Hi , does anyone know how to fix the problem with imessages. Sometimes it works and more often than not it doesn't. I upgraded my iphone 3gs a couple of weeks ago and the imessaging worked splendidly but now it hardly works at all. Both my daughters have the same problem and it isn't the wifi coz they live in different parts of the country.
Any help on this matter would be apppreciated as its doing my head in

TS2551 I recently added pictures to iphoto. There are a lot of pictures that are just black voids. I can find the originals, but why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I am very new to owning my macbook. I am lost as to how to fix this. Is this related to the updates that I recently installed?

Check the iPhoto Preferences:
Advanced -> Importing,
and make sure, that "copy items to the iPhoto Library" is enabled.
Otherwise your imported images will not be stored inside the iPhoto library, and if you move, delete, or rename them, iPhoto cannot access them any longer.
If that is not the problem, please post back and explain more detailed how you are importing and where your iPhoto library is located.
To fix it, if you imported without copying, and iPhoto is missing the originals, you need to put them back, exactly where you removed them from.
Or simply import again with the "copy" option checked.

Doing something the DAQmx way that doesn't fit? (Triggered counter on PXI 6608)

Hi,
I want to create a counter with my PXI6608 that is triggered with an external input, then counts up. I then want to be able to read the count in LabVIEW and hence determine the time since the trigger. I have achieved this before with old-style code, but it is not clear how to do it the DAQmx way. In particular, I can't create a task because what I'm looking to do doesn't seem to fit in with any of the pre-envisaged DAQmx task templates.
Can anyone help? I'm assuming there's some way to create an 'empty' DAQmx task so I can fill in the details with property nodes?

You'll want to make an edge count task and set the source to be one of the internal timebases using a DAQmx property node (set it before starting the task):
The trigging functionality you're looking for is called an "arm start trigger" in DAQmx. It's configured through a property node (also before starting the task):
I'm not sure what you're getting at with regards to the "empty" DAQmx Task. Typically you'll use the standard API to set typical properties and the property nodes for more advanced functionality so you'll end up with a combination of the two. In many cases you could replace the DAQmx API with property nodes (for a fun example of this, open up the DAQmx Timing VI), but odds are you might be forgetting something important so I would always suggest using the VIs and then tacking on property nodes for additional functionality when necessary.
If you're using LV 2012, this example should get you started (or if not, the picture still shows you what the task would look like).

How does this **** work? I have an Ipad and Iphone and an Itunes account and it won't sync anything...i don't understand why I spent a fortune on this crap that doesn't work. All I want to do is get my phone and ipad in sync but NO that isn't doable

Is everything Apple does ****? I can't sync anything all I want to do is get by iphone and ipad on the same page...but the syncing wants me to agree to delete everything...this is nuts...there is no help...is Apple's idea of help have the users be there help desk? there is no where to go and it is a joke!

And with that kind of attitude, it's unlikely that anyone here (and there are some extremely knowledgeable people here) will want to help.
If you really want help and aren't just here to rant, I suggest you start another thread in which you lay out the problem, including any error messages you may have received and any steps you may already have taken to solve the problem. Include details about any computer operating systems you may be using. And, do not include the attitude.

I did not back up the iPod and then i restored it thinking my pictures should stay in the icloud but after the restore was done i realized that those pictures had been deleted but many other pictures had been kept. Also those pictures were not taken with my iPod they were taken with my bestfriends iPod but because of a situation she had to delete them so she sent them to me through imessage so I am wondering if there is a way to recover them.

Is there a way to get pictures that I have deleted from my camera roll and photo stream back on my phone?

I accidentally deleted pictures from my camera roll and they weren't in my photo stream (so I guess I must've deleted it from there too), and I want to know if there's a possible way to recover my old pictures.

You can either sync them back to your iPhone is you have them saved on a computer, or you can restore from a backup if you have one. Those would be about your only options. iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

Adobe Reader Stops Working in Win7. Is there a fix for this, other that updating?

On my multiple Win7 or Vista machines, I suddenly have experienced Adobe Reader not working. I have tried to install the latest updates and have even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nothing helps the situation. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script

HT4865 How to change an apple ID that doesn't belong to you???

I bought a contract iphone 5c for my son at xmas, set it up using my apple ID. He does not know the password as I don't want him buying things without me knowing. Therefore he signed out of my apple id, borrowed a friends apple id and password and started to download free apps. He then changed his passcode and forgot it, trying too many times which disabled the phone. I have managed to enable the phone, got it working, however it is asking for the apple id and password that he currently had on the phone which must be his friends as it is refusing mine. My son does not have contact with this boy anymore and I think he has changed his password anyway. The phone is in my name, the mother, who is linked to apple, itunes etc. Please help, it is very confusing but ultimately I need to either reset the id which i can't due to not knowing the details, cancel it or maybe reset whole phone to factory settings. On my son's phone we can't get passed the activate iphone page. Please help!! I have all documents, receipts that this is my phone.

If you have encountered Activation lock, and are getting an image similar to the one below when you try to activate the phone, it will not activate without the correct Apple ID and password being entered. There is no way around this as it is designed as a theft deterrent measure (if you could circumvent it, it wouldn't be effective). Apple can't/won't help. Your only option is to track down the person who originally acitvated the phone because their ID is now associated with the hardware ID on the phone and it will not activate without the proper credentials, or unless this person removes the phone from their account (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515).
