There used to be "if you like ______, then you'll like ______." What happened to that?
In my itunes library, there used to be a section that indicated "if you like ______, then you'll like ______." What happened to that?
Have you rebooted the phone since the update? Hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button until you see the apple, then let go. See if that helps.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this. -

my ipad is on an infinite loop. I used ios7 for a few days and then did updates on some of my apps. that's when the infinite loop started. I have tried pressing the power and home button at the same time, but it doesn't work. Please help!
I even tried some hints posted for ios6 (turn off Ipad, holding home button and plugging in power cord at the same time and then releasing the home button)
I did manage to get a different screen that shows the itunes icon and a power cord, but nothing happens.You were on the right track. You got the connect to iTunes screen and you ended to use iTujes to restore your iPad. Try recovery mode again.
Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore iPad. -
I was almost done my project. I hadn't published it anywhere. Then, the next day, the clips from my timeline went all grey and there was an "out of date" icon. My project was lost. What happened? It's not the first time it's done that!
You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
(1) Page Info > Permissions tab
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
(2) about:permissions
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.

Read the HT5312 page that you posted from, it has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use -
I am having a problem with FCPX seeing my Raid drive as a Drive and not as a Camera.. Don't know what I might have done to change things..it was working fine and other than backing things up to external harddrive..not sure what happened. I reinstalled FCPx, checked the disk permissions and verified it with the disk utilities. any suggestions?

I always have 30+ tabs open. Used to be there were arrows on either side of the tab bar and you could navigate to the start or the end of your tabs. Now those arrows are missing and if you have a lot of tabs open you cannot navigate, you must close a tab in order to see other ones. Or click that group tab button thing to see which tabs you have open which is stupid. Is just mine faulty? or did this function just go away. Makes no sense to not be able to scroll through and see all the opened tabs.

How do you write stories? What programs do that?

I feel dumb, but, I don't know how to just open up a program that I can write a story with. I want to enter a writing contest. I have a Macbook pro. The writing contest only accepts microsoft, RTF, or text only. It's funny, I can open up emails, bid on ebay, but, don't know how my darn computer works. So, can u tell me what programs would be on my computer that would fulfill the requirements for the story? How do u email the submission, the same way you would send a video or audio? Just search for it?
I have a second question as well. Does anyone know of any free screenwriting software? I also want to write a screenplay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last question, is there a program that would allow a disabled person (myself) to speak to the computer to write a story or screenplay? I guess I am looking for voice activated software for writing a story or screenplay. Any ideas?

DanMany questions, let me tackle the first and easiest.
There are a number of applications which allow you to type things up (e.g., stories). Depending on what you ordered when you bought your computer you may or may not have various applications.
One application which you certainly have is TextEdit. It's in your Applications folder. If you start this program, it will open a window within which you can start typing. It will save as RTF and so will be compatible with your requirements.

When using numerous browsers, i can load any site, except ebay!! What's with that??
I have done all the normal corrections... such as repairing permissions and startup disk. I have also cleared the cookies and other website data. Ebay is the only website that I have tried that won't load... Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Camino and Opera... none can open to eBay website... Other computers and my iphone have no problem using my wifi to load this site. WTH????

What happened to useful workflow conditions?
I'm jumping from 2007 workflows to 2013 and finding a lot of things I can't do that I used to be able to. I would have thought workflows options would have expanded not shrunk. what has happened to the condition item "begins with" or
"contains" or "is empty" ?
Also, how do I make link two conditions with and AND operator.? If This AND That?

Thank youDepending on which version of Firefox you're using, it no longer currently supports the plug-in provided with Adobe Reader. You have to use PDF Plugin 2.4.4. Just disable the Adobe plugin and use the Schubert plugin.

When I sync my 3rd gen nano, there is no longer a games option tab. What happened?
Every time I sync it, there's no longer any games option, and I can't figure out what happened. Anyone know how I can fix it? Should I just try to restore it?
It seems as though since Apple removed clickwheel games from the iTunes Store, they have also removed the ability to resync games you had already downloaded previously over to your device.
