Boot from the Leopard DVD (I assume you are installing Leopard since you've posted in the Leopard forum.) After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. After the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the left side list then click on the Partition tab. Select one partition from the drop down Partition menu, set the format type to Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) from the Format drop down menu. Click on the Options button and be sure the partition map is set to GUID (GPT) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button. After the partitioning has been completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with installing OS X.
If you choose to install Tiger follow the same procedure as above except boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer (assuming that is Tiger.)

I have tried all those things I even updated the software to the new iOS system and it still did fix my problem.
What happened is that my garage band looks like it will open then it shuts down.
I have lot of important things on my garage band and I'm afraid that if I uninstall it deleting it then reinstalling it all my work on it will be gone and I can't have that happen.
Everyday I am hoping that when i go to open the app that is will work but it doesn't it gets ready to turn on then it shuts off , the app doesn't even open all the way and turns off.
I really hope I don't have to erase it.
It'll say it's ,lading my songs then it shuts down .
If I waited for the App Store to come up with an update for garage band should I wait till then to update my app so it doesn't get damaged . I don't want to erase it and all my data get erased . I figured if I wait for an update then my garage band will reset itself but won't delete my data. I'm not sure if that will help. Is there anything you or anyone else might know that can help me with this matter ?

Not able to activate FlashBuilder 4.7 after first install - got "There was an error ... try again ."

Yesterday I bought FlashBuilder 4.7 Standard.
I'hd installed it on my Windows 8 Laptop and on my Windows 7 Station (with Home Premium) - both 64 Bit.
After giving my serial number, the setup installs the whole FlashBuilder and it works fine.
But only on my pc with windows 7, I could not activate the software inside the FlashBuilder dialog.
It asks for my email and my personal password and ... I got 50 times the same error:

So I try many times to:
- deinstall all adobe software
- make a registry recreation
- make a recovery of my pc 3 days back
- download the adobe cleaner tools and try them
- make two chats with adobe staff in india: phani and another man (I think 2 hours)
- nothing happens
Every time the same: the error dialog above.
I had "googled" two days for any solution - but nothing

I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors. I requested a repair, but there was an error after clicking the button with my credit card info. I was still charged, but the form email I received the next day had incorrect info about my iPod Touch problem. How can I contact CS w/o paying $19?!

My iPod Touch battery is not working. I requested a repair through the Apple Support. On the final page, when I clicked the button that puts the info through with your credit card number, the resulting page gave an error (I wish I'd have saved it!). Anyhow, I checked my credit card and it was charged, so I assumed the repair request went through. The next day I received a form email saying my problem was with "Sync with iTunes (Not iCloud) - Data Backup/Migration (not iCloud)" instead of the battery repair. It also says for iPod customers, to send your iPod to Apple - but I had requested the "iPod Coffin" to be mailed to me so I could send it back. Obviously there was an error between the request and what was received, so I'd like to ask Customer Service about it. However, I can't find a way to contact them. When I replied to that form email, I recieved an automated reply saying emails there were not read. Anything online asks me to pay $19 and I don't have the correct issues to request an exception. The closest store is over an hour away or I'd simply go there to ask. What can I do?! Any suggestions you have are much appreciated. Thank you!
PS - The form email also says if I wait 10 days the repair request will be canceled. Does this mean my credit card will be refunded for the $85 battery replacement charge if it is canceled automatically?

Thanks, but I've been on the phone with AppleCare US (where I am and live) and AppleCare UK. They continue bouncing me back and forth without helping resolve the problem.

Are you trying to RUN or SAVE the download?
Make sure to choose SAVE.
Also, are you current on all your windows update packages?
And what is your internet connection - is it wireless, or wired?

It sounds a lot like your phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it before you updated.

Try starting Aperture with the command and option keys held down. You'll get 3 options.
Try each, starting at the top, in order, checking after each to see if it fixes the issue.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
