Hi Cagik,
Thanks for contacting National Instruments.  With respect to your question about the Thermovision Digital LabVIEW Toolkit 3.1 and not using IMAQ, we do not actually manufacture that toolkit and not familiar with it because of this reason.  I would suggest trying to contact the people that actually make the toolkit and get some more information from them on how exactly to use it.  Maybe they will be able to give you an example program or a few tips on what to do.  I hope this helps and good luck with your application in the future!

  • ThermoVision Labview Digital Toolkit for connection with a FLIR SC645 is not working

    Can somebody help me?
I have troubles connecting my FLIR SC 645 with my Labview Software.
The “FLIR R&D Software” works fine I can make a connection with the camera over Ethernet, I can take images and read temperatures.
Now I want to use the labview toolkit to automate the measurement in a production process.
So the camera is connected over a Ethernet port directly to the PC.
I can see the camera in NI MAX under NI-IMAQdx Devices. If I try to snap a image a error occurs:
Error 0xBFF69031 The system did not receive a test pack from the camera.
The package may be to long or a firewall may be enabled.
When I dig in the libraries of ThermoVIsion I found the “ThermoVision Cam Ctrl.vit”. This program does work, it connects to the camera and I can do a internal calibration and some focusing but that is it. The examples from Thermovision does give me a black image and a Error -1.
Does anyone has some experience with this toolkit?
The main idée I had is to inport the image into a vision builder and their work with some intensity levels. Is this possible? And how do I connect with the camera?

    Hello,
usually IR cameras have dfferent pallete displays (monochrome, rainbow, saturation, etc...). The default is probably monochrome, that is why you are seeing it. You should be able to change the output by sending the appropriate command to the camera.
Regarding the jumbo frames (I suggest that you leave this alone, if you get your camera working):
let me google it for you
    Best regards,

  • ThermoVision LabVIEW toolkit connection to Flir Exx Series

    Hi,
I am trying to use the ThermoVision LabVIEW Toolkit together with a Flir Exx series camera as part of a closed loop temperature control system, however, there does not seem to be much in terms of tutorials on the toolkit. I am looking to acquire the image from the camera, convert from raw pixels to temperature and using a PID controller change the output of the heater to correct the temperature on the target surface. I was wandering if I could get some guidance on this subject or be pointed in the right direction.
    Kind Regards.

    Hi Alexisdera,
Have you looked at the User's Manual (http://support.flir.com/DocDownload/Assets/48/English/T559015$a506.pdf)? When you install the toolkit, the examples it describes should be installed to your computer.
If you've already seen this and it doesn't answer your questions I would recommend contacting Flir to ask for assistance, since this is a 3rd party product that NI does not directly support.

  • Raw array to temperature array

    Hi,
As a Flir´s infrared camera user I´m trying to devellop a LabVIEW based software using the following VIs (distributed with Flir´s Thermovision Digital Toolkit 3.1)
    1 - EmissivityRawArraytoTemperatureArray.vi
    2 - Thermovision Digital To Temperature.vi
In fact my goal is to read and display temperature from an infrared based image previously acquired and saved by Flir´s camera.
So the question is : Anyone can help me with an example code or even describing how to use properly these VIs?
    Thanks,
    Cesar

  • Digital Filter Design Toolkit for LabVIEW 8.0

I need Digital Filter Design Toolkit for LabVIEW 8.0 and I cannot find it on the site.Where can I get it from?

Contact your local NI representative. He might just sent you one.

  • Install Digital filter design toolkit on labview 8

I get an error that says:
You must install labview FDS or PDS 7.1 (or later) before
running Digital Filter Design Toolkit 7.5 Setup.
I have only Labview 8.0 installed.

    Hi storeytime,
Are you running LabVIEW in evaluation mode or as Base Version, than this could be the reason why it doesn't work.
You have to activate LabVIEW as Full Development System (FDS) or Proffessional Development System (PDS) to install the DFD Toolkit.
If you have allready activated LabVIEW as FDS or PDS you need to start it once to get the registry updatet, then the installation of the Toolkit should be possible.

  • LabVIEW toolkit for digital still camera - PTP protocol based

    Dear List,
Just to let you know that a LabVIeW toolkit for PTP
(picture transfer protocol)camera is available. PTP is
the new standard for still imaging devices such as
still camera and scanner, it does not require camera
vendor extra special drivers (unlike Twain)and it's OS
independant, thus being supported widely in modern
high resolution digital still cameras. Interested

  • Digital filter design toolkit

Me and my teacher would like to use the Labview Digital filter design toolkit. He has lot's of different CDs from Labview in his Lab. He said maybe find out if it's maybe on one of the Labview CDs we already have here The question is : Is the Labview digital filter design toolkit only on one CD, or can we find it somewhere on an other Labview CD ?

    Hello,
The DFDT is sold sperately but it could also be bundled in a Developer's Suite. Most of the time its a seperate CD. So should check to see if you have a CD for DFDT or perhaps a LabVIEW Toolkits CD.

  • Digital signature : security toolkit error

    Hello,
I have a problem in digital signature, when I use the function module SSF_VERSION,
    I get an error message
“SSFRFC V1.46.3 No security toolkit version information found”.
    1. I have tested the destination conncetion,Workingfine.
    2. Security Product is SAPSECULIB.
Could some one help me in solving this issue?
    Regards,
    Prabhu Rajesh.

    Hi,
It seems that your settings are all right but there is a problem in the way you are using SSF01. The problem is that neither the program and nor the FMs are documented. So its a hit and try. Here is how it goes:
    1. Run SSF01
    2. Select Signing radio button
    3. Clear RFC Destination field
    4. In the user profile section, input your SSF Profile ID that you have generated using trn. PSEMAINT. (If you do not know it, run PSEMAINT and press the Certificate List button. Copy contents of Own Certif. field. This is your SSF Profile ID).
    5. In the SSF Profile field, enter SAPSYS.pse
    6. Select the paths for your input and output files
    7. Select SAPSECULIB in the Security Product (only AS) field
    8. Run the program.
This will sign your data and output it to the file you mentioned.
To verify this file, choose Verify radio button, select the path of the output (signed) file in the input path section. Clear output path field. The system will verify the file.
To use Add Signature option, pass the same signed file as input file. Clear out output file path. Run the program. You will see the results.
    Hope this helps.
Let me know about the outcome.
    Regards

  • FLIR sc655 and ThermoVision Labview Toolkit

    Hello,
I am having trouble with the FLIR Labview toolkit. I cannot seem to get even thier basic examples to work. I have Windows 7, Labview 11, Thermovision toolkit 3.3.7 (latest version on FLIR website). The error occurs in "ThermoVision open.vi". the error code is -1 which labview says is unknown. Looking deeper the error appears to occur in the sub-vi "ThermoVision CreateActiveXRefnum.vi".
As far as the camera itself I am connected through GigE port. I see the IP address just fine in IP config and I can acquire images in both IR monitor and NI MAX just fine. Something is going wrong it seems wit hte active X control through labview. The ThermoVision SDK runtime is installed which has the active X program so I have no clue what is going on or why I cannot use the FLIR tools to connect to the camera.
Has anyone had thier problem and/or have any insight as to what is wrong?
    Thanks

    Greetings;
While I have not used the ThermoVision toolkit, I have taken a quick look at their manual and have a few questions; would you happen to know if the toolkit's version is compatible with that version of LabVIEW? In addition, is there any order requirement for the installation as well as any driver that is required other than Vision Acquisition?
I have done a bit of research and come across a few topics in our forum that also deal with this particular toolkit; the last link has been particularly longstanding and a user seems to have worked with it extensively:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/FLIR-A320-infrared-camera-Labview-Developer-Kit-feedback/td-p...
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/How-to-build-an-application-in-LabVIEW-10-including-FLIR/td-p...
Ultimately, since NI-MAX works correctly, would it be possible to test the camera in LabVIEW without using the toolkit's VIs? The camera seems to be fully GigE Compliant which means that you should be able to reach it with IMAQdx VIs. If the camera does indeed work in LabVIEW correctly, it might be worhtwhile to reach to the developpers of the Toolkit to see if they have any insight on the matter.

  • Report Generation Toolkit Excel Vi's do not run after creating an executable. What am I missing?

I have labview 8.5 and Report Generation Toolkit version 1.1.2.   My vi works fine during development. When I make an executable or an installer the excel vi's do not work. I have seen this question posted before but it has always been for earlier revisions and the answers do not seem to apply with 8.5 and 1.1.2.

    Hello ajh,
You will have to include Dynamic VIs in the executable you build. The following link has more information:

  • I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.

I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.
In particular, I am analyzing the example "Even Angle Reference Signal Processing (Digital Tacho, DAQmx).vi", whose documentation I am reproducing in the following:
    <B>DESCRIPTIONS</B>:
This VI demonstrates how to extract even angle reference signals and remove the slow-roll errors. It uses DAQmx VIs to acquire sound or vibration signals and a digital tachometer signal. This VI includes a two-step process: acquire data at low rotational speed to extract even angle reference; use the even angle reference to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation.
    <B>INSTRUCTIONS</B>:
    1. Run the VI.
    2. On the <B>DAQ Configurations</B> tab, specify the <B>sample rate</B>, <B>samples per channel</B>, device and channel configurations, and tachometer channel information.
<B>NOTE</B>: You need to use DSA PXI-447x/PXI-446x and PXI TIO device in a PXI chassis to run this example. The DSA device must be in slot 2 of the PXI chassis.
    3. Switch to <B>Extract Even Angle Reference</B> tab. Specify the <B>number of samples to acquire</B> and the <B># of revs in reference</B> which determines the number of samples in even angle reference. Click <B>Start</B> to take a one-shot data acquisition of the vibration and tachometer signals. After the acquisition, you can see the extracted even angle references in <B>Even Angle Reference</B>.
    4. Switch to the <B>Remove Slow-roll Errors</B> tab. Click <B>Start</B> to acquire data continuously and view the compensate results. Click <B>Stop</B> in this tab to stop the acquisition.
<B>ORDER ANALYSIS VIs USED IN THIS EXAMPLE</B>:
    1. SVL Scale Voltage to EU.vi
    2. OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi
    3. OAT Get Even Angle Reference.vi
    4. OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi
    5. OAT Compensate Even Angle Signal.vi
My question is: How is the synchronization produced at the time of the compensation ? How is it possible to eliminate the errors in a synchronized fashion with respect to the surface of the shaft bearing in mind that I am acquired data at a low rotation speed in order to get the "even angle reference" and then I use it to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation. In this application both operations are made in different acquisitions, therefore the reference of the correction signal is lost. Is it simply compensated without synchronizing ?
Our application is based on FPGA and we need to clarity those aspects before implementing the procedure.

  • Calling stored procedures with parameters with the Database Connectivity Toolkit

    Hi all,
I am new to the forum and am having difficulty finding a solution to a particular problem I am having regarding using the LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit on a project I am currently working on at my job.  I have a database in which I have tables and stored procedures with parameters.  Some of these stored procedures have input, output, and return parameters.
I have been trying to follow this example but to no avail:  http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/07FD130746083E0686257300006326C4?OpenDocument
One such stored procedure I am working on implementing is named "dbo.getAllowablePNs", which executes "SELECT * from DeviceType" (DeviceType is the table).  In this case, it does not require an input parameter, it has an output parameter that generates the table [cluster], and has a return parameter which returns an integer value (execution status code) to show if an error occurred.  The DeviceType table has 3 columns; ID (PK, int, not null), PN (nvarchar(15), null), and NumMACAddresses (int, null).  I have gone over many examples and have talking to NI support to try to implement this and similar stored procedures in LabVIEW but have not been successful.  I am able to connect to the database with the Open Connection VI without error, but am running into some confusion following this step.  I am then trying to use the Create Parameterized Query VI to call the stored procedure and set the parameters.  I assume I would then use the Set Parameter Value VI for each parameter that is wired into the parameters input on the previous Parameterized Query VI?  I am also having some confusion during and following these steps as well.  I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone might have in regards to this situation as I am not a SQL expert.  Also, I would be happy to provide any more information that would be helpful.
    Regards,
    Jon
