when i call someone they cant hear me, even if they call me they cant hear me
when i do restore and make my Iphone4 as new it works for one call only then the issue back again and they cant hear me even by using the speaker!!
plz help me
my iphone is up to date .

If restoring as new (without using a backup) doesn't help, there is a hardware problem. Take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country.

good question. try to record a voice memo on your phone. if you can't hear yourself, it means likely that your mic isn't working, which would explain why no one can hear you on the phone

Apple Store Genius makes all decisions regarding implementation of Warranty Coverage. Maybe you have AppleCare coverage and don't even know. If the Genius decides to cover under Warranty then it was worth taking to Apple. If Genius decides no Warranty, then replacement iPhone 4 is $149.

Thanks for the question. Since you're saying the mic is working in other applications, I'd try out the general iPhone troubleshooting assistant and do steps 1, 4 and 5 to see if that solves the issue.

Can place and recieve phone calls fine
The phone is on a static IP
Ever since i setup this phone i have had problems where people can barely hear me or cannot hear me period.
Ive tested calling different cell numbers or phone numbers that i know of and everyone says the same thing. THey cant hear me!

This afternoon I started to get phone calls where no one was on the line.
After this happened several times I tried to ring out. I did get dial tone and the first couple of times I did get busy tone and I think ring tone once. I couldn't hear anything after that and I assume they answered but I couldn't hear them.
Since then I don't get any busy or ring tone at all but still get Dial tone !
suspecting my Gigaset digital phone I tried another one (we have four on the system) but all of them were the same.
     So I tried a normal plug in type phone but that was the same. I only have 1 socket so I had unplugged the Gigaset.
I tested it by ringing my mobile. This rang and my wife answered it but I couldn't hear her but she could hear me.
     I then tried using the socket inside the master socket for a final test even though I have no other internal wiring but the problem persisted.
     I have tried to report the problem but I can only book a visit from the engineer 6 days from now!
I can't see how it can be a problem in my house. I did the line test on the web and that said the line is OK and I think it must be as I can still get broadband as well.
I can only think it is an exchange fault but it seems I must wait till next week to explain the actual problem.
Has anyone got any idea what I can do or what might be the problem please.
I am a pensioner and can't afford to use my mobile all week at 35p a minute ;(

It sounds like an external problem and is as far as your are concerned since you can't do more than connect to the test socket. Could be an insulation problem somewhere between your socket and the exchange, lots of joints in the wires between these locations. With the low insulation it's in effect making another circuit on your line other than with your phone so when you hang up this other circuit stays connected for a while. It can also make your phone ring when no one is calling. If you have an engineer appointment you'll just have to wait, they'll be busier after the heavy rain and lightening, if you've just been told you'll be fix by that date hold a little hope it may be sooner, they do work weekends!

Try a reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
