They promised no doctor!!! HELP?
Hey guys. I got my 13" Macbook Pro last April. It is my first Mac computer EVER. I was very excited to get into the mac experience and while I do not regret purchasing my macbook pro, I have several concerns that result in great frustration.
1// The laptop is REALLY REALLY FREAKING SLOW. I first thought it was only my experience while surfing the net via a specific browser. I always used FireFox. Thought maybe that was the problem. I switched to Google Chrome. Then messed around with Safari. Didn't matter. It wasn't only the browser that was slow but the whole system! The "wheel of death" cannot will NOT stop turning!!!
Let me explain - I have almost 150GB FREE. I use my comp to download movies, tv shows, all safe, browse the net, download music,blog, chat, ya know the drill. Nothing out of the ordinary. No big *** design programs. No gaming. Nothing extraordinary. What's the deal?!!? is 4G of ram isn't enough for that?! Is it OKAY for the mac to get super slow when I open iTunes!?
2// Whenever I restart my mac all of the changes I've made prior to the restart are gone. Such as: adding new icons to the dock. Gone. Have to "keep in dock" all over again.
3// A well known issue - I keep having to put in my psw whenever deleting/moving files.
4// I have to use the "Force Quit" ALOT. Stuff get frozen ALOT.
5// FYI: I update software often.
Again - WHAT IS THE DEAL? Do I need a fan to keep the mac colder? Do I have a "bug" [I know, words unknown to apple]? Should I refrain from using certain programs and apps? Should I NOT open more than 3 tabs in my browser [otherwise the wheel of death oh you darn wheel!!!]!?!?
Help! Using my Macbook Pro has become a very unpleasent experience, which I did not expect at all!!! My Mac is not even 1 year old!!!!!

I just bought my iphone5 last march 27, but then after a few weeks I noticed that there is something loose inside of it. So I went to Globe Philippines, a telecommunications company in the Philippines and one of the authorize distributor of iPhones here ib the country, but instead of just replacing my defective phone, the advised me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks for them to be able to replace it because the replacement unit will be coming from Apple Singapore. All support for your iPhone in the Philippines is handled by Globe, so you need to continue to work with them on the issue. No one here can help you directly with this issue, nor is there any way you can yourself contact the repair depot in Singapore (if indeed that's where it is). You can, however, try calling Apple Support in the Philippines at 1-800-1441-0234, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and ask if there's anything they can do to help expedite the process.

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

When I run the Dr. Fone software it shows they are still on my iPad 2 but it costs 60-70 dollars. Is there another way to retrieve them? They were not backed up on Itunes like I thought they were. Please help!!
Recover software as you have described is pretty much your only option - keep in mind that if wait, some of the currently recoverable data may well be over-written and lost.

How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear. Help please!
As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message. -
I need some help. I recently won an iphone 5 in a customer survey. Could not believe my luck . That was mid March 2013. I have never used any apple products before. Today I want to get out my old Nokia E5 and go from there. I have attended two workshops at an apple retail store at Charlestown Square, they were not very helpful, everyone at the workshop had ipads, i was the only one with an iphone. I know that to navigate around on them is simular, but after going to two workshops, which i had to drive over an hour there and back, just to get some help in how to use a mobile phone is ridiculous to me! I noticed some problem with , I could hear people i was talking too, they could not hear me, just prior to attending my second workshop, after much debate I was told that the phone had a manufacturing fault and that I was going to be issued with a new phone. That was 2nd April, since then i have virtually no reception, can't send txt messages, cannot connect to my wi-fi device, problems with battery. The battery , once fully charged does not last 24 HRS, this morning for example - was 100% charged, made a 2 min local phone call , at completion of call , battery displayed 80%. By lunch time it was displaying 56%, i had not used the phone at all ! i don't understand it! I have been with the same phone provider for 2yrs now and have never experienced the problems i am having now. CAN ANYONE HELP ME ? Yours Sincerely Tracey.
Tracy, first you should restart the iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. This process could solve some of your problems. Also make sure you have the latest update, go into our settings>general>software update. On the wifi issue try restarting your router, if you are still having problems try resetting your network settings, go into your settings>general>reset then tap reset network settings.
The battery issues seems normal, the battery will not last 24 hours. -
Some contacts have disappeared from my phone. Not all just random ones. They are still in the phone because if someone (who has disappeared from my phone contacts calls me their name appears and if i search in text messages for contacts they are still there - but if i search in phone contacts they are not there, Help!
But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync. -
i'm using a macbook pro retina, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB. operating OSX Yosemite 10.10.1
everything on my desktop disappeared. i've managed to make my HD reappear on my desktop but my files etc are nowhere to be found. i tried using the finder to locate specific files and they are missing. Help! I foolishly filled up my desktop with piles of screen grabs and folders - no doubt that was the cause... what do i do, aside from punish myself for being so stupid?Could you have logged into another account?
If you go to System Preferences>Users and Accounts what accounts are listed?
To show users at login go to the Login Options of chanck the box that says show list of users.
If they they are gone and you can't find them then restore them from a backup -

the other option would be to use an App like Audiobook Builder to stitch the tracks together in upto 12 hour long sections and sends to itunes automatically. It is available in the App Store. There are others available, Audiobook binder is free -

Still sounds like the mic to me. There are 2 on an iPhone 4 one on the top of the phone one under, each has a separate task. Sounds to me like your top mic is on the blink.

I have purchased actual ringtones from the ITunes store. They were working fine on my Iphone 3 before, but I got a new laptop and the new version of ITunes, and now even though they are listed as ring tones on my ITunes, they will not transfer to my Iphone. (Please do not tell me they are songs and not ring tones, they are definitely RING TONES!) Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
