I've been a loyal customer for over 9yrs with Verizon with 5 lines of service and up until this year I raved about their service.I even referred all my family and friends to them that was until now ! First let me say I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO UNFAIRLY OR BADLY AS IVE BEEN BY VERIZON. Never have I been bold faced LIED to like I was with Verizon I came into Verizon store. Your agent after upgrading my phone told us that for just $10 more a month we could have a mobile hotspot it was a SPECIAL offer so we agreed to take this offer WELL he Lied it cost us over $100 and as if this was not bad enough he also told my husband that he could upgrade to the 4s and that although he would have to get a new number my husband had 2 months left on his contract but there was only going to be a small fee for new phone Lied AGAIN $175 was charged. By the time Verizon was done we had a $1500 Verizon bill. Well to my shock when I got the bill I called Verizon Which I now agree with alot of people your customer service reps are far from the wonderful customer service you so rave about there something very very wrong with the way I along with many people have been treated. You allow your sales people or agent to  lie to your customers and do nothing about it WHY ? Ive tried to get past this bad experience only to get another one bottom line is now with my service suspended I had no chose but to get one of your prepaid phones a $50 Monthly plan only to find out that my monthly plan was only 22 DAYS and when you decided to shut my phone off I will never forget this night as I was awoken by a call on my phone to tell me my child had been in accident and was being Air Vac to hospital my phone suddenly went to message to add funds to your account!!!!!!! NEVER EVER can you explain and make me understand where you get 22days is a month ! or how I was told in spite of the emergency of car accident my child was injured in the only way I could get service working was to give Verizon more money when I had 8 more days left on my monthly unlimited call text and web PLAN !!! I wonder what is the next Lie I will be given VERIZON???

You can click on "Shop" at the top of this page and see the prices.  An Apple 4S is $100 plus $30 upgrade fee or $35 activation fee if adding a new line as your husband did.  The hotspots vary in price depending on which one you chose.  Some are actually free to purchase and some as high as $100, but there are monthly fees of course.  You could have just used one of your phones as a hotspot.  It's impossible to know why your bill was $1500 unless you list the specifics.  It just depends on what all you purchased, what fees were involved, did that include service for current month plus next month, etc.

    Don't know if there is an option make the download window stay up, but you can bring it back with Ctrl+J then right-click on the download to open the folder it was downloaded to.

    I have an iphone and an ipad.  I DO NOT have an Apple Mac (I have a Dell laptop).  I have an appointment with a Genius Bar.  They tell you to back up your data to icloud before you come in.  If my data is lost will I be able to retrieve it without an Apple Mac????    Oh and how do I check what operating system I'm using???? Sorry I'm a novice regarding this.

    You can back up your device, either to iCloud or to your computer using iTunes, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766.  If you need to know what version of iOS you are using, go to Settings>General>About and read the number across from Version.

    Whew.... got it to work after days of trying to figure.

    Wiped phone completely, restored as NEW iphone through itunes.  Checked 'Sync all Music'.
    After that happens you can restore from backup.

    Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do?  The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

    Hey so I just bought a Samsung Galaxy 5 because the right half of my iPone 5 is no longer touch sensitive. I downloaded the Smart Switch on my galaxy and am trying to get the stuff backed up on iCloud synced to my galaxy. Whenever i try to log in it says there is no backup data in this account and it says to backup the data on iCloud... I cant even unlock my phone because I cant types in the password. So next I went to icloud.com and there is nothing in my contacts or anything. PLEASE HELP! I think maybe my phone has backed up nothing.... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    If you are automatically backing up to iCloud and can't open your phone, your only options are to do one or both of the following:
    Connect the phone to wifi and your charger, lock the screen and wait 24 hours to see if it will automatically back up again; or
    Back it up to your computer instead by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Back Up, then File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  Then you'll either have to find software that will transfer data from an iTunes backup rather than an iCloud backup.*
    * If you can't find any, you can use 3rd party software to extract your data from your iTunes backup, such as iPhone Backup Extractor (http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com).

  • Reinstalling OS9 Classic, You cannot continue, there is nothing to install

    I am using Tiger on an Imac with OS9. I cannot open the OS9 for some reason. I notice in the preference window the OS9 disc logo is missing. Somehow I guess I messed up the software. I found the discs that came with that Imac, and when I tried to reinstall OS9, I got a message saying "You cannot continue, there is nothing to install"
    Any help would be appreciated

    My X11 world has started misbehaving - whenever I try to xdisplay something back to my Mac I now get an error message saying 'unable to open display'. This all happened after the X11 session I was having with a remote linux box froze and I had to force quit X11. I thought I'd try to re-install X11 (via X11User.pkg) but I get to the part in the installer where I click on 'Install' and it then responds with:
    You cannot continue. there is nothing to install.
    I've tried removing the /usr/X11R6 directory and the X11 app itself but the installer message persists. Any ideas on how to proceed?

    Sometimes the reason why these things don't work is that there is a "receipt" in /Library/Receipts that you need to manually delete.

    Soution: Delete the printer and add the same printer back in, therefore creating a new print queue.
