Things captured in Configuration Audit

Hi All,
I know its a silly question. But want to know what actions will be captured in Configuration Audit for Hyperion 11.1.2.1.
As per the update from security PDF:
Shared Services allows the auditing of provisioning and lifecycle management activities to track
changes to security objects and the artifacts that are exported or imported using Lifecycle
Management functionality.
Auditing can be configured at three levels: global, application group, and application.
At the global level, you can audit security and artifacts handled by Shared Services. Application
group-level and application-level auditing allows you to audit security activities related to an
application group or application performed through Shared Services. Application group and
application security activities that are performed outside Shared Services; for example, assigning
calculation scripts in Essbase, cannot be audited.
We have gobal application overwrite enable. And seen it have captured all the changes we did on Shared Services like Auditing enable, LCM ,external directory configuration.
But want to know does it will track the new configurations like new essbase configuration. or any other activities.
Thanks in advance.
Sh!va

Hi All,
Please suggest for the same.

  • Unable to capture Exchange Mailbox Auditing events for email creation

We are looking to capture Owner mailbox auditing events using the native Exchange 2013 auditing tools (Search-MailboxAuditLog). I have auditing enabled with all actions for Owner, and capture items performed via Outlook, except for new emails created.
If I create new emails via OWA, I am able to capture the event, but as soon as I go back to Outlook and create a new message, I don’t see anything audited. I also tried this is our Dev environment and seeing the same behavior. Has anyone else experience this
    behavior?

    Hi,
I have a test in my environment. If I create a message on Outlook as a owner, the mailbox audit logging can't record it.
If I create a message on Outlook as a delegate, when using the Search-MailboxAuditLog cmdlet to search the audit log, it will be displayed as follows:
The operation is "SendAs", not "Create".
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • Help configuring Audition with Virtual  Audio Cable and Skype

I'm using the latest version of Audition, along with Virtual Audio Cable and Skype for my PC (Windows 7).  While I'm able to properly configure my own microphone (Edirol UA-25), to be captured by Audition on track 1, I can't seem to get track 2 configured properly to capture and record.
I seem to be missing a step.
Is there anyone that can help me properly configure or offer an alternative that will allow me to record my microphone and the Skype call on two separate tracks?
Thanks in advance for your expertise!

Others may have made it work but I've never persuaded Audition to record a mic in one channel and line out (Skype) in the other.  Since Audition it designed to work with a single ASIO audio interface, this makes sense.
My solution is to use a little utility called the iFree Skype recorder:  Record Skype Calls with iFree Skype Recorder - Your FREE Skype call recorder software
It works well for me, keeping the outgoing part of the call and the incoming separate for easy editing later.  It works fine with an external audio interface and good mic as long as Skype is set up to work that way.
The only drawback is that it records in MP3 not wave but, given the quality of most Skype calls, this isn't really a deal breaker.

  • Configuring auditing with Oracle database

we created auditing tables in Oracle and enabled auditing. According to our naming stardarts it gave names to the tables as follow: schema owner.table name (like BOE.AUDIT_EVENT). When we check in CMC it sais that auditing datasource is not configured correctly. Do we need to make any changes the way database tables are named? What other possiblle reasons could cause bad connection between database and BO (we verified in other tools that user account we are using in setting up connection can read auditing tables)?
    Thanks
    Vita

Are you sure you used an oracle account with sufficient rights on the database level?
Do you connect via "Oracle Names Service" or TNSNAMES entries?
Since the database tables seem to be created properly(?), I guess there must be another problem., You could enable tracing at the oracle client level (see SQLNET.ORA entries) and maybe find something there.
You can also enable tracing at the BO server levels, by starting up the BO servers in trace mode and look at the log files...

  • FM Capturing  Contract Configuration Changes

    Hi Experts,
I want to capture the changes done for VC Configuration of a contract.
I am unable to get it directly from table cdhdr and cdpos where the Object Id is stored as an alpha numeric value for ObjectClass IBINVALUES.
Please let me know if there is anyy function module to capture configuration changes.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Raju,
no chance without oo event data_changed.
You can get the grid object from the function module, I think FM LVC_GET_GLOBALS or something like that. Then implement method
    METHODS: handle_data_chg FOR EVENT data_changed OF   cl_gui_alv_grid   IMPORTING er_data_changed.
In SET_STaTUS event of the function module, you can extract the grid object and registr your own handler.
But, honestly, I'm not convinced this will be easier for you than changing to OO grid.

    Clemens

  • Configuration Audit across environments

    Hello Colleagues,
I have observed differences in application behaviour across our Dev, QA and Production CRM systems. While some of these are related to data issues I have found a few instances of inconsistent configurations across the landscape. Of course, this should not be the case if the configurations have been transported across but we had a few instances of backing transports in and out which has caused inconsistencies. In this context my question is,
Is there any way to do a audit/comparison of CRM Customizing across systems?
    Thanks!
    Paresh Angle.

    Hello GlennS:
CL, I hope you do not mind if I re-open this post ;)
I have been working with Essbase Studio 11.1.2 and I have seen that models could be exported to xml. But now I am working with 11.1.1.3 and I do not know how to migrate between environments.
I think I have two issues:
    1) Maybe 11.1.1.3 does not support this feature?. Migrating the entire database should be the solution?. Should I also migrate physical files?
    2) My database is in SQL Server 2005 and destination database is Oracle. Do you think I would be able to?
    Thank you for your help

  • NCM - Configuration Audit - Device Types

    Hi All
We are using NCM to audit configurations of various cisco devices on the network... We have basic config templates built, which would be compared to provide exceptions. Now, we know, each device has its own limitation , based on the device model/IOS etc.. With a base configuration, NCM throws large number of non-compliance reports for commands compared against..
my question is - isnt NCM intelligent enough to compare the configurations based on the hardware, ios etc by itself ? Are there any patches/modules etc available for us to upload to NCM, to do this funcationality automatically ? Issue is we have thousands of devices and we are creating thousands of exceptions each day to get the non-compliance solved !
eg - snmp-server enable trap ospf command is not available on some devices like 3550 (with IOS less than 12.2(25) SE). Now, we manually create a ruleset to exempt this from audit, but there are many rules like this which has to be checked against.
As far as I know, its not possible, but just thought of giving a shout out !

If I understand your example, you are trying to have the policy compliance skip over certain devices if they aren't at a certain IOS level. Is that correct? If so, the only way to accomplish this that I have ever seen is to create some dynamic groups and then apply your policies appropriately.
For example, if you create a dynamic group that contains all Catalyst switches with 12.2(25) or higher and then tell your policy only to apply to that group that may work for you.
At least, that's how I am doing that in the NCM deployment for the company I work for.
Hope this helps and good luck!

  • I am having a problem configuring Audition to allow me to monitor audio with a bluetooth headphone.

I have several bluetooth headsets and I normally have no problem pairing and connecting them to various computers, but I attempted to pair a headset with my laptop running Audition last evening. The transport froze with the play button changed to green. I could not get it to play. When I replaced the bluetooth device with a pair of wired headphones, I was able to get everything to work as normal, other than the fact that I was tethered to my machine.
Is there a proper way to specify to Audition that I would like to route the monitor audio through a bluetooth device?
While the Audition output was failing, I was still able to hear system alerts and various other sounds through the bluetooth device, just not the Audition output, which is what I was working on.
I see some chatter on the forums, but not a lot of solutions for this sort of thing.
By the way, I was using a MacBook Pro from 2012 with 16G with OS X.8.5.

    Hi there,
Did you try clearing your cookies? Perhaps one of them got corrupted in a previous attempt to login.

  • What is the best way to capture CUCM configurations?

Rather than clicking though the drop down menus in CUCM, what is the most efficient way to capture a complete configuration settings in CUCM?  I know some of the settings can be done using BAT, but what about other settings like Enterprise Parameters, DHCP server/subnet, etc.?  If the captured configurations are in human readable format will be even better.

[+5] to Rob and Brandon for sharing more info.
    Hi Brandon,
I downlaoded the latest software  cipinventory-v0.11 from the site and unzipped it .I could find four files and not any exe .I have attached the snapshot.
when I click on .pl file it asks which program to be used for opening.
Am I following the correct procedure or missing something?

  • Two things: more shortcuts + configurable SQL formatter

    Hi folks,
    thanks for the great tool!
As you can read from the subject, I have to small recommendations for you:
First: make keyboard navigation possible through the use of shortcuts. Simple things such as switching from tab to tab, should be possible to do whithout the hands leaving the keyboard.
Second: The SQL Formatter (Ctrl+B) is a great tool, I miss from many other commercial editors!!! In order for it to be as useful as possible: please try to make it configurable. There is not THE one way of formatting PL/SQL the right way. You probably have some kind of pl/sql template. However, let the format be configurable. There are all kinds of different formatting habbits in developer teams. Let this wonderful please every one of them.
Thanks again for the good job.

Does anybody know, if my request of a configurable SQL formatter is planned for anytime?

Audit Vault is NOT Database Vault. The link you provided is for the wrong product.

Just search for the phrase "Audit Vault."
