I think Logic needs to do some work on the waveform edit.
More like Pro Tools.
Right now, the main thing i miss is not to be able to quantize an Apple Loop. I mean, some parts of the loop that are offbeat are impossible to quantize.

Yes,i mean the blue apple loops.
I wouldn't even mind if i could tweak the normal aiff loops like Ableton Live or Pro Tools, to be able to quantize by yourself with precision!
I think Apple should include that in their next update, it's so important for waveform editing. My self, i edit a loop in Pro Tools,then export it and work it in Logic, it's so frustrating!!!

The Top Ten things that BB needs to fix now

BB Fans after having my BB Classic for nearly a month, I am disappointed that there are several issues that need to be resolved immediately with OS 10. I have started a Top Ten list of issues and features that need to be addressed immediately. Please chime in as many of you have the same issues or know of some that I haven't discovered yet. Now here are my Top Ten:
1. Unable to a complete Synch with BB Link, according to BB tech support the issue comes from pictures that are attached to a contact or a Linked In account. We didn't have this issue with BB OS7.
2. Unable to attach a contact to a text message, error shows contact acnnot be shared.
3. Unable to attach a contact to an e-mail, error shows contact cannot be shared.
4. BB Protect doesn't back up and restore as it did in OS7.
5. BB Protect doesn't locate, display a message or play a sound when you are roaming on another network as it did in OS7. It will only locate on your home network, but it won't perform the other features as it did in OS7.
6. When you search for an e-mail, it takes over 10 seconds and it replys "no results". Go to web based e-mail account and perform the same search and the e-mail is found in seconds. OS7 did this well.
7. BB tech support needs to get better, but part of the problem is that they don't have solutions for our concerns.
8. You cannot forward part of a conversion, it will only forward the complete conversation.
9. You cannot bcc yourself to enable you to keep a copy of an e-mail.
10. an e-mail icon needs to be seperate from hub as text messages are, because it takes to long to get to e-mails when accessing them from the hub.
Please everyone chime in as we need to develop a list of our Top Ten issues and features that we desire in our BB10 devices. BB should listen to us as many of us are loyal to BB nd want to see BB survive, improve and grow.

a. Compose a new e-mail.
b. Tap the menu icon (three dots) at the lowest right corner
c Tap Add Bcc:

Remember, you can always select the e-mail account on the Hub, so only that e-mail account's messages are displayed. That said, I'm with you on this one - would be nice to have the option, at least - to add an icon to the main screen for separate e-mail accounts as we had on the 9900/OS 7, although I can hear folks reminding me that also defeats the purpose of the Hub. The simplified Hub design leaves me tapping a lot on the glass to separate which account's e-mails I wish to review as sometimes I find it confusing that all e-mails are mixed together in one long list.

Two things that apple needs to do...

apple, pleeeease bring back the brushed metal. it was a nice touch.
i understand that it was replaced as a backing with plastic to improve gps tracking. that makes sense - but wouldn't it make sense to replace the tacky looking silver plastic edging with brushed metal? it wouldn't interfer with gps reception and would bring back some of the class the brushed metal casing brought to the design.

I am trying to update to 5.0 and the installer keeps saying that I need to close Firefox to continue, but I have closed it and it still says I need to close it.

I then tried to uninstall Mozilla 4.0 and it keeps saying the same thing that I need to close firefox before I can continue, but it is closed. I have no browsers open and it still will not allow the uninstall or the install.

No iPod touch is capable of running both iOS 4.2 and 7.1.2, and you appear to have a second generation iPod touch, which can't be updated past 4.2.1.

Why does logic need to be "warmed up"?

Whenever I start logic pro 7.1.1 and load up my most recent song, I always have to go through a series of core overloads. Most of my softsynths ( I typically use around 25 ) are EXS24 samples, and it seems as though whenever I load up an instrument I have a huge spike in CPU when a new note is played for the first time, and then it plays fine after that. The problem is when I load up a song and press play, I have to go through an annoying and tedious series of core overloads every time a new note is played until logic cashes all of the notes and I can actualy get to work. Is there any settings that I should change so logic will play the song the first time?

Not a good idea, in view of your low RAM.
Are you using an external drive for your projects?
Having said that, I know this has been mentioned here before, so you might want to search for EXS24+missing notes. I think it was iSchwartz that had a theory about this - but I know that even with plenty of memory it seems that Logic needs its pump primed sometimes.

Is there any timeline soon that apple users will be able to open things that need adobe flash player? I can not even play any games on Facebook, I can't open certain files, pictures sent to me or things like forms I news to see when I am not home

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Some software updates pertain to things that I would never need. Is it okay to "pick and choose" which software updates we install?

I am not computer savvy, so bare with me. I have OSX Lion 10.7.5. I only use it to surf and for photos. I keep getting reminders that software updates are ready to install. And for months and months I have continued to ignore them because their explanations seem to tell me they are not things I would ever want or need. I see no reason to take up space on my computer for things that I have no intention of using. (Yes, I am a "mature" person). The updates are for Remote Desktop Client; Migration Assistant for Lion migrating to Maverick??; Airport Utility and i-Tunes. I also keep coming across in blogs and articles about upgrading from Lion to some other new app or software called Yosemite and I don't know if that is something I need to do? You have the ability to 'hide' updates, which is what I do when OS X wants to update or install drivers for printers/cameras I don't have. That way it won't keep notifying you of updates you don't want. Either use the menu bar at the top, or right-click the update and click on Hide Update.
Yosemite is the newest version of OS X, which is the operating system for your Mac. Yosemite is more secure, and runs a bit faster than Lion on my iMac, although it looks a bit different. Check out http://www.apple.com/osx/ to learn if you want to upgrade or not. It's a free download from Apple.

This gets confusing, you have two Macs with different issues and two pedals with different issues? First let's sort out what's what. So, do the issues come from the pedals or from the Mac software? To find out, simply switch the pedals and note their behaviour. No change: it's the software, change: it's the pedals (imho the most likely scenario).
Second, what kind of pedals are they? Can you name the type of pedal too? The Yamaha what and the Mgear which?
Third, with the 4 fold data problem, are the doubled events simultaneous, or a few ticks apart, or more?
Also, you have no MIDI keyboard? Are the pedals both "standalone"?
I think you have to sort this problem at its' source, which are the pedals. You could, if push really comes to shove, perhaps create some sort of ingeneous/elaborate transformer setup in the environment to filter the extra messages, although with the 4/4 sustain events that may not even be possible. With the "stepped" events you could set up a filter to just block all events with values 20-110 or so.
But much better would be to configure the pedal(s) correctly.

Need help fixing my safari. have already done files perms repair to no avail. Only thing that happens when I select Safari is the screen changes color.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do.
