Think I backed up phone to old one so now new phone has all old contacts and messages
Tried to back up phone and somehow backed new one to old info...what do i do

Hook you phone up to iTunes on the computer you sync with and select the phone under Devices in the sidebar or at the top right of the iTunes screen. On the Device Profile screens, click on the Photos tab and uncheck the Sync Photos box, then sync. This should remove everything except the Camera Roll and Photo Stream from your phone.
Then, if you want to put selected photos on, select the ones you want and then sync again.

can i use a 2nd iphone if i install itunes on another user account.when i tried to create a second library i messed up both phones, the second one now has all my contacts and when it sends txts it either says its my other phone or email address. i can cope with the first phone and getting it back on itunes but dont want to syn the 2nd phone until i know it is independant of the other one. Deleting the account on your phone only removes if from your phone. The account and it's data remain intact and doing so will not effect your daughter's phone.
To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off, and when prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone. When finished, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn any data you want to sync with iCloud (contact, calendars, etc.) back to On. This will upload your data to your new iCloud account. -
we have 2 I phones and when I tried to sync my I phone to the computer for a back up(have only 1 account) i lost all my phone contents and my phone has all the contacts/messages etc of my daughter's phone. Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

My computer's hardrive went bad an I had to get a new one. Now my computer has nothing on it and I had to reinstall itunes and i have no music or anything. So now I cannot sync my ipod or anything. Is there anything i can do to get all of my stuff back?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back. -
We have 3 iphones under one icloud. Now, my daughter's phone has my contacts in her account. How do I switch it?
I suggest each user have their own Apple ID, iCloud account and purchase apps and music individually.
But if you must share the one account use the Settings app to stop syncing Contacts.
Settings > iCloud > Turn off Contacts. -

I admit, I did screw up for not checking. I was just soo steamed with the customer support and going back and forth with phone and offices in Charleston, SC and here in VA, I was just getting frustrated with this phone that i had for 1 week, and couple with the craziness of the hustle trafflc of customers during the holidays.
Just a lot of crazy here, but my new phone is in, I had to get the service center to reset things, as the backup synch wasn't right, and I will get a new card.
I just wanted a new phone that worked, and oversaw the issues. This isn't the first time I had to return a phone, but last time, it was a slower pace, and no issues, and I reminded myself to get the card out.
Got 99% of my contacts. Just wishing there was somehow to track the phone, and have hope, but it was nothing that was life critical.. And cost of new cars is cheap.
Chalk up to "pay attention".... but oh, the frustration of 6 visits to the stores in 32 days I had that phone. Ahh!

Your title asks "How do I get my iPhone information back on my (iPhone)?
You also said "I have yet to back it up." Therefore, all your information that had been on your iPhone is now gone.
Your iPhone has (and will continue to) been refreshed from iTunes. -
I lost my iphone in the water I bought a new one 4S now I have 2 back ups in Icloud, the one for the new Iphne and the old Iphone where I have the most info I need. How I can download my old backup?
Welcome to the Apple community.
You cannot download a backup from iCloud, the only way to access it is to restore to the backup with your new phone, which you should have done when you first connected it. If you restore now, you will lose all the new information you have added to your new phone. -
I have an old iPhone and my new phone that I'm using currently. The old one isn't being used. Can I make both of the phones receive all of my text messages even though my old one doesn't have service but there is wifi?
You can activate iMessage on the old one so it can get your iMessages. The old phone will NOT recieve SMS/MMS messages sent to your number.

If you have been previously using iCloud with your old phone, then when you login to your iCloud account with your new phone all the data from the services you were using will be added to your new phone. -
I just lost all my contacts and pictures from vacation trying to download them to my computer because my phone reset to my origional sitting. Is there a way to reset my phone back to today date or recover my pictures?
In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer. -
My husband and I both have iphones and everything was ok until I synced his phone and lost all his contacts and pixs. I downloaded verizon's contact retreival app and got his contacts back but now his contacts keep overwriting mine. I can sync my phone and get my contacts back but within a few hours, his show up again. We use the same apple id for purchases. What can I do?
Are you sharing the same iCloud account (in Settings>iCloud)? And do you both have Contacts turned to On in Settings>iCloud?

How would I be able to pull up all of the text messages tat were in my phone over the course of 2 years and back them up to my computer since my phone has a broken screen and can no longer read the mesages.
If the messages are stored on the device and you can power the device up you can use the application posted at https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/770529 , the application has a screen capture option and you can use the screen as a guide to install MyBackup from Market or a number of backup apps from Market and then you can run the applications and backup data to your SD Card to restore to the replacement device.

This is a weird one Surprisingly, directories with names ending with a dot, don't show in the Import dialog and also cannot imported by using synchronization. So, if you have any folder named "Flowers, trees etc." ... you cannot import it.
