Think Pad E450 - SSD ERROR CODE

Hi all, Just need some help with my laptop, it is only a month or so old, but today I recieved this error code: WHD00V001-UK7BRL Windows is telling me to back up my drive asap as it is critically failing, which is fine, but is my laptop dying? I am a uni student and need my laptop. Thanks for any help.

I had this with a Crucial M5M mSATA SSD, and the solution was to turn the machine off for 20 minutes with no battery and and no power connected, then try again.
The drive failed totally about 2 weeks later though.

One short beep, pause, three short beeps, pause, three more short beeps, and one short beep.

    DIMM.
    System board
i have no clue how to fix either of these any help or advice?
My laptop: Ibm Thinkpad T30 Windows Xp Pro
im not sure where to find the serial number on it either sadly its kinda old but please respond thanks bye

    Love you ajkula66111
I have heen having the same problem with my T40.  I put the expansion memory in the orignal slot under the keyboard and it starts up like a dream.
Before I would have to start it up a few times before it would not beep and go to BIOS and then start for real.
summitzl, check out the link (you could probably find the exact one for your computer type, but here is what to look for).

I do not know if you have an expansion memory (slot is on the back of computer, first one listed on the page of how to get to it), but I pulled that one out and put it in my orignal slot since I am pretty sure the expansion one is newer.
Now, I do not know if I should try to put the old one in the expansion slot or what.
    THANK YOU!!!

  • Odd error originating from NI-5411 (Error code: BFFA0002) when trying to load arbitrary waveform

    Hello everyone.
We have some equipment (PCI NI-5411) that is misbehaving in an odd and new way. When trying to load an arbitrary waveform onto the AWG (using a library call to the "niFgen Write Binary 16 Waveform"), it produces an error. The error code is "BFFA0002", but I haven't been able to find any information that can show what this error code provides. Previously, we had some problem when the system wouldn't find the file and produces an error even though the file is there. After changing our code so the file access is attempted several times, the problem was resolved. However, that doesn't work in this case and we do not know here the problem is.
This is a pretty much shooting wild and hoping that something falls down, but if anyone could provide me with information about the error code or another probable error source I would be highly grateful.
    Thanks in advance!
    With best regards,
    Niclas

    Hi Niclas,
That error code suggests that a file cannot be opened. This error is defined in IVI as  IVI_ERROR_CANNOT_OPEN_FILE.I don't think we return this error code from the NI-FGEN driver.
You mentioned that you have an issue with finding a file. Is that file specific to your application? How is it being open or used? What API do you use to open that file?
For NI-FGEN specific error code (and generic IVI error codes), you can query the error message by calling niFgen_error_message function or niFgen Error Message.vi.
    Thanks,

  • Every time I try to download itunes to my computer I receive an "error code 2721". I checked windows and they think it's itunes. How do I fix this?

I have windows 7 and have tried uninstalling and reinstaling itunes, trying to fix errors with my "Bonjur" service for itunes, and checked with windows to see if the error code 2721 came from a windows error but they say it's an issue with itunes. I'm not sure what else to try.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Unable to install Rescue & Recovery on X201 Think Pad

I have just bought a pre-owned Think Pad X201-3680-FZ2 laptop with Windows 7 professional, and for my own peace of mind wanted to restore it to factory settings before I start using it.
There are no recovery disks so I have downloaded the Rescue & Recovery 4.52 Setup but when I run the programme it gets to a certain point and then I receive the error message Error 25014. There was an error installing the Rescue and Recovery boot manager.  Return code: 6
I have searched for a solution to this problem online, and see that I am not alone, but the responses I find either do not seem to apply to me as the other programmes mentioned are not installed, or I do not understand them.
I am not a computer expert, just a domestic / home office user, so need a solution in very easy to understand terms.  The Think Pad I have came with no instruction manuals, and as far as I can see, all the programmes installed relate to the operation of the Think Pad itself.  There does not seem to be Rescue & Recovery already installed on the ThinkPad.
Does anyone have a solution to this which they could explain to me in simple terms, please?

    What are the partitions labels?
According to the information you've provided:
    1. you have fresh installed OS in OEM reduction, it's activated from the BIOS, it's not a Lenovo preloaded image
    2. two recovery partitions (recovery workspace and partition for the stored image) were removed during the new OS installation.
Also, needed bootloader was removed so you are facing error regarding R&R installation. Perhaps OS was installed w/o complete drive cleaning.
Are there any archives on the drive? Try to find files with .wim extension (like sdrivebackup.wim and cdrivebackup.wim). It's the only chance previous owner saved preloaded image.
Nevertheless, don't worry, no problem to perform fresh installation

  • Error Code 0xC004F074 Win 8.1 Clone

Hello.  I have a Toshiba P867-S7102 with two HDD bays.  Bought an SSD and cloned WIN 8.1 to that drive, leaving the original HDD in the machine.  Changed boot order to SSD first, and all works save the error code mentioned in the title which
will not allow the SSD OS to activate.  If I change the boot order back to the original HDD, the OS is activated.  The intent of this change is to place the OS and programs on the SSD and use the HDD for storage.  I believe my conflict is I
the laptop thinks I have two OS versions running, but I am not sure how to deconflict.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi,
According to your descritpion, your Windows 8.1 should be computer build in system and not activated by KMS server, isn't it?
If that it is, one OEM or retailed Windows Operate system license only available to one device. That's to say, you couldn't use one product key to activate another Windows system.

  • Lenovo G560 OneKey Recovery 7.0 error code 0xEB1b068A

    Hi
I recently purchased a Lenovo G560. First I turned it on I've tried to create DVD recovery (Default factory discs) but this error occured during the process: Failed: error code 0xEB1b068A. the softwar I used was neKey Recovery 7.0.
I had tried it twice but it wasted me two DVDs already. I looked up on the web and I've notices that it's a common problem of the lenovo think-pad computers.
If any one has the same problem that he resolved or if there is anyone who knws something about the issue please post your answers.
    Thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Admin note - this discussion had been combined with other discussion on OKR, but since this error code is specific and we have several different discussions already with different potential causes, it may be worth keep this one separate so that we can hopefully arrive at a specific solution on this case.
    Pooryamd,
Thanks for your suggested solution based on that KB article.
We've seen this error code come up a couple times year, and one scenario had to do with changes to the partition sizes.
So, aklee13, did you change any of the partitions?
Another reason for the errror code might be that you are not running as the administrator on the system - if you have multiple user IDs on your system - if you are sharing the PC with someone else and have a log on for them.  Try right click and run as administrator.
Searching a bit, I find same error code reported for ASUS system, so this doesn't seem to be a Lenovo unique issue, maybe something underlying in Windows.  Not assigning blame, just saying that there may be somethign going on that isn't specific to One Key Recovery.
Can you tell us a bit more about your system and situation.  Have you made any changes to the system since you got it?  What kind of DVDs are you using?  Brand and type.
The more you can share with the community, the more we can help.

  • Windows Store error code: 0xd00000bb

    Hello guys,
so i changed my AppStore profile directory from C:/Programm Files/WindowsApps to D:/Programm Files/WindowsApps with the regestery.
Now i get this error code: 0xd00000bb whenever i tried to install any app.
Does anyone know where i can find the error codes and what they stand for? Or maybe how to fix this problem?
    Thank you guys
ps: No i can't change it back to the C drive cause i got a small SSD on this drive...

How did you change the location of windows apps? I think this issue might be related with some registry entries in your system, by default, windows has a "PackageRoot" string for entry "Appx" in registry, the default valudata is "C:\Program
    Files\WindowsApps".

    Btheone, welcome to the forum.
You are correct that the hard drive failed.  The maximum hard drive supported by Win 7 is 2 GB.  Yes, you need the Recovery Discs provided by HP.
Here is a guide to help you Recover the system after you replace the hard drive.  Read it carefully before buying the new hard drive.

  • Ok back again with 55 error code endless on and off loop

So a few days ago i decided to clean up the computer. Removed/reinstalled/cleaned video card, 2 fans attached to a tall finned CPU cooler (to clean out the cooler fins) with q-tip and compressed air can, and remove filters and some fans to clean. All done with comp air cans and q tips. Had my anti static wristband attached and on a clean table with tile floors. Had to remove 2 sticks of RAM to get one of the fans.
Also decided to add an ssd while i was at it. All went well except i couldn't get into the bios. Booted to windows fine but hung just after del key press just b4 bios setup. Posted in the Bios section for help and I was told to disconnect all hdd's and optical drive and try again. That worked. Reconnected optical...didnt work. Tried just HDD and it worked. Re connected the optical and it worked. Used the same ports as original (when this all started) and it worked. Weird but good to go. Connected SSD, configured windows to "see" the drive, all is good. Then I disconnected the computer, cleaned up a little of the wiring after the new ssd install (nothing was removed or reconnected) and one fan. Put the covers back on reconnected cables and went to bed.
The next day I go to turn on the computer and i get the dreaded 55 error code and have an endless 3-5 second loop of on and off before it even gets to the splash screen. TV shows nothing. Tried CMOS clear every which way. nothing. Disconnected all components except for 1 ram, and CPU....still nothing. Tried several sticks of ram in each. Nothing works. Tried different PSU's...same thing. Disconnected all USB cables, Mouse, and case switches, same thing. Bench tested mobo with different power supply same problem. Tried different power cords still no worky.
I dont know what to do. The mobo is still under warranty. Idk what I did to make it do this. Static, short while reconnecting audio out to a home amplifier. Static while cleaning up wiring? tried bios a and b, neither work.
Please help...I'm about to just go buy a new board and send this one back and have a spare.

When I had the original problem, (not getting into the Bios but booted to OS fine) at the end of disconnecting and reconnecting, I had the HDD and Optical and new SSD connected like original and it worked when it didn't before being connected the same way. Just chalked it up to maybe not connecting something completely.
Now I'm starting to think the problems are related
So it worked BEFORE this latest problem. All I did then was add some zip ties to the new SSD cabling and put the panels back on. Didn't check to see if it worked after that, just assumed it did since I didn't do anything of significance.
Then this. I did think about the can of comp air and yes it can do that. I thought I was being careful enough to not let it do that with just short bursts.
I have not tried to remove and re-seat the CPU yet. I will try later and inspect the pins. At this point I think it can be attributed to one of the following things:
    1. The EVO Hyper 212 did kind of twist a little (it always has a little when pressure is applied) and bent a socket pin. When I put the panels back on I did have to clean up one of the push/pull fan wires and did twist the EVO a little.
    2. Something shorted/is shorting the board to do with the SATA connections. Maybe the SATA plug to board connection.
    3. Compressed air shot out some frozen water and corroded some connection somewhere over night.
    4. When plugging in the audio OUT from the back of the board to an amp Stereo L & R IN (converts to Surround Sound), the Amp was on and this jolted the board.
    5. The compu-gods have decided to brick my mobo so as to have an excuse to buy a new one.
3 things I have learned. 1. Get a water cooler and not use the big tower coolers. 2. Don't use compressed air especially in swamp-ass Florida. 3. Make sure the crap you plug into the computer is OFF.
