So I want to make free calls to Myanmar but it is not on the world list
(I know I can buy 120 mins for 18.99 pounds/month)
My question is if I want to forward skype calls to my UK mobile and make calls to Myanmar, what are my opitions please?

I'm not sure, I've seen pro animators use MBPs but usually with a large monitor. Especially doing video editing, compositing and editing it might make more sense to upgrade the Mac Pro to an SSD as the boot drive. What kind of CPU setup is in your Pro?

I have currently Photoshop CC running on my desktop pc, now I am thinking of buying additionally a new laptop or macbook to work out of the house on my pictures. As long as the Mac meets the system requirements you can use your Cloud software on it. With a Cloud subscription you can have two machines with working installations and they can use either or both platforms.

So I'm a student in the UK, thinking of buying as it's my last year of University and I should probably get the benefit of getting it cheap while I still can--
However, I'm having some trouble finding a digital download for students on the Adobe website. The only digital download for students seem to be in odd countires like Cyria and Iran, etc...
So my question is, is there a digital download for students in the UK? And if so, is it under £250.0 as that's my budget, and as my computer is a few years old now I feel I should ask about a warrenty of sort; if I at some point have to reformat my PC will I be able to re-download the program from the website? Software like Display Fusion Pro and FRAPS (which is bloody awful) allow me to do this and I expect PS to have something like it too, though I know there are a lot of issues with piracy so I have my concerns.

Yes, you can re-install the software on a new computer at a later date provided you keep your serial number safe at all times as you'll need it for every install.
You're permitted to install and activate the software on up to 2 computers at the same time. -

After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

Hi... I am a freelance filmmaker. Now I have 2008 model mac pro and I am thinking to buy a new macbook pro 15 inch retina display. Do you think its worth for it? I aim to use the macbook mainly for video editing, video compositing (after effects) and photo editing. My current old mac pro has 12 GB and the graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB (Yes I still use it). My main question is, do you think its better to move to macbook pro or upgrading the old one? Making it 32 GB of RAM and buy a new NVIDIA cuda capable graphic card? I dont have enough budget to make it together... Want to hear your suggestions...

Thinking of buying a new iPod, do I have to delete the songs already there?

This is probably the completely wrong forum for this question, but I don't know exactly where to put it.
The thing is, I have an iPod mini (green) with 4 GB, which now is full and I am thinking of buying a 60 GB one. Last year I got a laptop, and when I was to connect my iPod to it, I had to delete all the music from the library in the stationary computer in order to install iTunes on the laptop. I tried to plug in the iPod to the laptop, but it only said that "This iPod unit belongs to another music library. Do you want to delete all content in order to download the new songs?" or something similar. This meant that I lost about 1200 songs, and pretty much had to start all over again.
Now that I'm thinking of buying a new iPod, I am wondering if anyone could answer me if I'll have to do the same thing as I did when I got the laptop. Does a new iPod belong to another music library, and can't just be set up with the one I've already got?
I'd really apriciate some help here, especially if someone have been in the same situation. It has to be possible to get a new iPod without having to delete all the songs you've saved in iTunes.

I have iTunes on an old pc and am thinking of buying a MacBook Air. I am wondering how to get the content of my iPad on to the Mac as I know that sync only happens in one direction, from pc to device. I assume therefore that when I attach my pad to the new Mac it will sync to an empty iTunes and I will have lost all the content of my pad. I know I can restore purchases, but what about contacts, calendar, photos and music not purchased from apple. I have a fairly recent backup on a pen drive but it is a usb2 device and is formatted for a pc. Any advice would be appreciated.
Do I copy my media library or from a backup. I have a backup on my pc and on an external drive. This drive is usb2 and formatted for windows so I can't connect it to a MacBook Air to make the transfer. Equally I don't think there is a way to connect the 2 computers via a cable ie usb2 one end and usb3 the other. Will the computers talk to each other via wifi if I enable home share although I think this is only for music which still leaves contacts, mail etc.

I've been reading the comments re FCPX on MacBook Pro and now I'm scared. I'm taking a class in FCPX and thinking about buying to do videos for nonprofits. Won't be fancy stuff, but now wonder if it's a good choice. Also, a classmate who was in CA last weekend said he heard that Apple will drop support of FCPX. Any truth? Advice?. I'm on 10.7.4 with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz. Thanks.

While it is against the TOU of these boards to speculate on future products/updates what Thomas said is right: FCPX is quite a new product and it doesn't make any sense to drop it now.
The only thing that MIGHT get dropped at a certain point is support for older hardware/OS as FCP X progresses. -
Hiya, Im thinking of buying my first ipod the Ipod Touch 32gb model. Will I be able to transfer the music I currently have stored in the form of CDs and already on my laptop onto the Ipod and if yes, how would I do this? I have heard from some friends that Apple and Itunes is notoriously limited in the types of formats that are accetable? I dont want to pay £249 on an Ipod only to find that Im locked into buying all my music from Itunes and I cant use the music that Ive already paid good money to buy from other sources. Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Based on all the positive things I've been reading, I am thinking of buying AppleWorks. But from what I've gathered, it's not an application that Apple is developing any longer. Just curious if this is true.

In short: AppleWorks probably will never be updated again, iWork will become it's successor. But you can still use AppleWorks the next few years if you like it, because it runs perfectly on the new Intel-Macs.

I've installed Photoshop Elements 12 from a CD onto my PC laptop. I'm thinking about buying a tablet, so was wondering if (a) can I install on a 2nd device (b) can I use the serial number online as I won't beable to install from a CD, and (c) will I beable to choose a mac, after the initial was on a PC???? A single user license allows for having activated installations on two machines. An Elements license allows for either platform in many cases (recently not the case from what I've seen). If you have the disc, see if it contains the Mac installation files... if it does then you should be able to install them via a download as well. I cannot answer with certainty for the last question since it relies on the previous question. Personally, I would not let an inexpensive piece of software dictate an expensive hardware purchase decision.

Well basically I've heard the hype about SSD and i was thinking about buying a mac with a 128GB SSD, but i was wondering, if i plugged in my 320GB external hard drive, would it work with an SSD mac? Or, do i need and internal hard drive for it to be compatible with my external one?
You can replace your internal drive with a SSD and buy an external enclosure for your 320GB from OWC.

It would be a whole lot cheaper getting an adapter (as needed) and cable and simply pluggin it in when you're in the kitchen. -
