Thinkpad T61 reports in-correct EDID data to Xorg
Thinkpad T61 with Quadro NVS 140M reports in-correct EDID data . Primary issues is that I want to switch to "1024x768" resolution which is well supported for LCD projectors. But currently with default setting nvidia driver it gives only the following resolutions. Is there any BIOS update for this ??

I'm having some trouble with random kernel panics on a thinkpad T61. Sometimes they occur just after boot yet other times I can be using my laptop for hours with absolutely no problems before it decides to panic. I've attached a picture of the error message I get and the output of some commands I thought would be relevant.

CRM Interactive reports not loading any data on WEB UI
CRM BI client is setup properly by following CRM IR config guide C41.
/CRMBW/CONFIG_WIZARD doesn't show any major errors. I am able to create
the custom interactive reports but when these reports are executed no
data shows up in the report.For example ,we are building interactive
reports under opportunities area for a user, who has opportunities in
the system.
Our CRM Sytem is on CRM7.0 EHP1 SPS3.
Thanks
ThirumalaHi Thirumala,
if still relevant (sorry for the late reply): check if the user is assigned to a business partner (employee), which is assignet to a correct position in the CRM Org model, and that this business partner is the employee responsible of the sales documents you want him to see in the reports.
Alternatively, the user's business partner can be a manager of such an employee.
Best regards -
I had an interview question that is:
How to update a table (Customer) on a server ex: Report Server with the data from the same table (Customer) From another server ex: Transaction server?
Set up steps so inset, update or delete operation takes place across the servers.
It would be great if someone please enlighten me in details about this process in MS SQL Server 2008 R2.
Also please describe would it be different for SQL Server 2012?
If so, then what are the steps?I had an interview question that is:
How to update a table (Customer) on a server ex: Report Server with the data from the same table (Customer) from another server ex: Transaction server?
Set up steps so that inset, update or delete operation gets done correctly across servers.
I was not sure about the answer, it would be great if someone please put some light on this and explain in details about this process in MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

Report to display (actuals data from one cube and plan from another)
Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement in reporting to display actual data from one cube and plan data from a different one.
The example below might give a clear picture of the requirement.
rows has key figures and columns = months
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun ... ....
GrossSales
Net Sales
Now if I run the report for Current month (Apr), then for the months of (Jan, Feb and Mar) i need to get the data from CUBE1 and for the remaining months (Apr thru Dec) from CUBE2.
Similarly when i run the report next month(may),
then (data for Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr from CUBE1)
and ( May thru Dec from CUBE2)
Any suggestions.
Thanks in Advance
KumarHi Henry,
We alreadey have a multi provider which includes
FinDat Cube(CUBE1) for actuals and Comm.Goals cube (CUBE2) for plan.
So you suggest that we have two versions of key figure for actual and plan.
ie. each KF will have two versions.
actuals = (version 10, FiscPer<curr.mnth, key figure, acutals cube)
Plan = (version 20, FiscPer>=curr.mnth, key figure, comm.goals cube)
eg:
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun ...
GrossSales(Act)
GrossSlaes(Plan)
Net Sales(Acutal)
Net Sales(Plan)
Correct me if I am wrong.
the report has a lot of key figures, having two versions for each kf will be confusing.
the user would like to see
Jan.....| ...Feb |..Mar |..Apr.....| May |
GrossSales Act Value|Act.V |Act.V| PlanVal|PlanVal|
Net Sales
where Act.Value is from CUBE1
Plan Value is from CUBE2
Thanks

Report painter -output parameters,Data source,Extract parameter, report
Hi expert,
1)What report painter -output parameters,Data source,Extract parameter, report mean for and what are the difference?
2)I have create new report painter and transport to Test server using T-code:GCTR and I find that the T-code always point to old report. As I had check the SE93 the D_SREPOVARI-REPORT is point to report group.Why this happen?
3) Does creation of new report or modification of the report always need to select the extraction option so that it will able to display the relected changes? Because, I have done modification on the report but it is not reflected the changes even i save until i have to create the extraction is able to display the report but every time i run the report need to select the extraction with option to choose new extract or old. Kindly advice how to save and create the report painter and save will display reflected result .
Please helpHi BR Christian,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
I have few querys as below:
1)Do we every time create new report by copying the existing report painter need to select output parameter, data source and extract parameter in order to be able to display the new report?
2)when modify existing report painter and save it do we need to select output parameter, data source and extract parameter in order to be able to display the modify report correctly?
3) What are the different between right click copy the report inreport painter compare with create report painter with copy GRR1?
4) What are the T-code for modify the report group?
5) When I create a new report with the right click copy in GRR1 and modify the report painter column only and everything remain the same just the report name different why when execute the report it always appear in the selection screen with report button which have option button to select the 2 version of report which one is the destination report that I copy from and one is the new report? How to set the report when execute will only display the new report only without need to select the option with just new report only?
6)For transferring reports you can use GR37 (export) and GR38 (import) can be use to transport from one client to another client? What is difference between GR37 compare with GCTR?
7) If I use GR37 and GR38 it is mean no need to create the transport request which as usual we create transport se10?
we can directly import to another client ussing GR38?
8)When we create a new report with copy with the existing report with just modify the report colunm and the report name difference only what are the setting example: report,report group need to be selected to be include to export/transport to another client?
9) What are the difference between library and report group?
10) Can we set Se93 to execute only report not report group? How?
11) when using GR37 to transport it is also include the report group,library and the particular report?
12) Can I include the variable in the column header to display fiscal year which I have selected from the selection screen?
How and which variable should i use?
please help.
many thanks

Converted 10g Release 1 Report to BIP: Report Runs, but NO DATA
Hi,
I went through all the steps and converted a very simple report (to show department code and name) to BIP using the following link
[Converting Reports from Oracle Reports to Oracle BI Publisher in Release 10.1.3.3|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e10416/convertrpts.htm]
The name of the report is Dept_Rpt.rdf.
It has simple query: SELECT department_code, dep_name FROM dept ORDER BY department_code
I created the Dept_Rpt.xml.
Then I converted to BIP using the java BIP Converter: The 6 files were created successfully.
I create the package Dept_Rpt in the schema.
Then I copy the files to the BI Publisher XMLP\Users\~administrator directory.
Now I start BIP Server, and login as administrator.
Go to Admin option and Refresh Metadata
Now under my reports folder I can see the report
Image: !http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/6696/rptinbips.gif!
I have created a JDBC data source to the schema and it works fine (i.e. test connection succeeds)
Image: !http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/1218/datasource.gif!
Now when I press the View option I get this error:
Image: !http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/3641/errorwhenpressview.gif!
Now I press the Edit option. Under "Report Properties' the Default Data Source is set to Oracle BI EE. I change it to my one: *orabi@BIP*. I do a Save.
Now I go to the main-query in the Data Model. I see this. The Type is Data Template and the query is in XML.
Image: !http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1800/queryinxml.gif!
Why is the query in XML and the Type set to Data Template. Why isn't it showing the query as seen in Oracle Reports?
Now I log into BIP Desktop from MS Windows, selects the Dept_Rpt.rtf and press "Open Layout Template".
Image: !http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6812/bipdesktoperror.gif!
I get this error: Error occurred. Please check the settings and try again.
I now do this: In the Data Model I change the type to SQL Query and Data Source to my one.
Then the SQL query (with XML disappears). I then copy and paste the query manually and it looks like this:
Image: !http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/2595/querydatamodelchanged.gif!
Now I press View and it runs but the output is this: NO DATA.
Image: !http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/3985/nodata.gif!
Why is this?
Image: !http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/8709/bipworkingnow.gif!
Note that now if I log-in to BIP Desktop from Word and select the RTF it shows the RTF correctly. But here again if we run (preview) we get no data.Hi Tim,
My dataSourceRef in the Dept_Rpt.xdo file points to my data source (see below pls).
!http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9778/datasourceref2.gif!
Also in the BI Publisher desktop when you open the template in Word I cannot find a place to specifiy a data source and also in the BIP Server you cannot edit the template.
Also, you did not explain why the SQL query appears in XML in the DATA MODEL????
!http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1800/queryinxml.gif!
I would really appreciate your help since I have to give a demo tomorrow to our mgt on the conversion process. -
Upgraded to Crystal 2008 - one of my reports now has no data
Upgraded to Crystal 2008, now at (12.3.0.601).
However one of my reports (which was previously developed in Crystal X1) is now coming up blank.
I've tested the data on the previous system and the report comes back correctly so there is not an issue with data.
The report is built using XML Schema files and assigning the datasource from VS2008.
When the application is built with Crystal X1, this works fine.
I've refreshed the report using crystal 2008 but no good.
Other reports which use SP's as the source are working fine!
Any suggestions?Thanks for the quick response.
What I mean by 'I refreshed the report in Crystal 2008' is that I opened the report in Crystal 2008 and verified it.
I did not have to do this with the other reports.
I cannot test this in the designer as the data gets assigned from the application.
However, the old version of the report with the same data works fine.
Note - there are no error message. The report displays with no data.
There are no code change made so everything points to the report which is strange.
Other reports work correctly but this one is different as it uses XML source.
Thanks.

I have SSRS parametarized report in that one data set have repeated values with query parameter . but while am mapping that query
parameter to report parameter i need to pass distinct values. How can i resolve thisHi nancharaiah,
If I understand correctly, you want to pass distinct values to report parameter. In Reporting Service, there are only three methods for parameter's Available Values:
None
Specify values
Get values from a query
If we utilize the third option that get values from a dataset query, then the all available values are from the returns of the dataset. So if we want to pass distinct values from a dataset, we need to make the dataset returns distinct values. The following
sample is for your reference:
Select distinct field_name from table_name
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Katherine Xiong

Report RPUFIXDS deleting employee data
Dear Experts,
I have a scenario wherein the report RPUFIXDS is deleting data for employees linked to the same CP.
As per the standard documentation,
Personnel numbers 1 and 2 have Molga 10 (USA) and belong to the same person (CP). Therefore, certain infotypes (0002, 0006, 0009) are grouped for these personnel numbers. If data exists in these infotypes for pernr 1 but not for pernr 2, there is an inconsistency. This inconsistency is repaired by report RPUFIXDS as follows:
1. If the personnel numbers are repaired in the sequence 1, 2, the data from the grouped infotypes of pernr 1 is copied to the grouped infotypes of pernr 2.
2. If the personnel numbers are repaired in the sequence 2, 1, the grouped infotypes of pernr 1 are deleted.
My scenario involves a personnel being converted from a contractor to an employee wherein the contractor and employee assignments are separate, within the same country and are linked to each other via the same CP. When I try to process employee pernr which has IT0002, IT0006 and IT0009 data maintained, through the report, it should, as per the above logic, update the contractor pernr with the relevant data for the grouped infotypes. However, the report deletes the data in IT0002, IT0006 and IT0009 for the employee pernr instead of updating the contractor pernr details. I've observed many such cases wherein data is being deleted when it should actually be updated as per report logic.
I have checked the standard documentation thoroughly and notes 783499, 1822293 and 1447867 and was unable to find any information pertaining to my case.
I would be very greatful if you could shed some light on this scenario and the behaviour of the report herein.
Thank you,
MayankThe note given by stuart will explain this in detail to add further, Please read the reports documentation in Se38, as it does list why it deletes the data and its no way knowing in report output to prevent BADI needs to be implemented mentioned again in reports doc check here http://scn.sap.com/thread/3326684 - recommend solution is to implement a customer-own BADI implementation of BADI HRPA_SHARING_REPOR in order to determine the correct repair sequence (i.e. determine the leading PERNR with consistent data) and to avoid that a PERNR without data is chosen as leading PERNR You can use the BADI HRPA_SHARING_REPOR to change the sequence of personnel numbers that should be repaired by the report, ie give the preference to the contractors, we had a similar issue and did it by ordering them correctly. Hope it helps/

PO value in MC$4 report not correct
Hi All
When I am executing report MC$4 for a particular month the output of the report give correct GR Value and Invoice Amount but PO Value is being shown as 0.00 which is not correct.
Please let me know why PO value is coming as 0.00.
Regards
Satish Kumarusually MC$4 report is based on infostrcuture S012
And update rule for S012 is by default the PO date.
means if you create a PO in March, then an entry in S012 is created having the PO value.
if you receive in April, then SAP checks when the PO was created and posts into that month, in this example it will add the GR value to March record. Same for invoice receipt.
However it is possible to change update rules, what I have seen pretty often to have the GRs and IRs in the exact month when they were posted. In this case you may experience a sitaution like you described. In other words the PO was created in a period outside of your selection.
And in rare cases an infostructure update fails. This does not cause an entire rollback of the transaction, as it is just statistics and not accounting relevant. This would cause the same behaviour.
Extend your selection to an earlier period in MC$4 and check if you see the PO value then. -
Reports generated with null data
Hi,
I setup a role which has read access to all records under different tab corretly. However, the reports are displayed with null data. Any idea?
Thanks VKHi Bobb,
"Role-Based Can Read All Records" equal to No in my configuration. Requirement is not to allow report creation on others data.
So, if I make it Yes, then they can access all data in CRMOD and create report. Please let me know if my understanding is correct.
Thanks VK -

Hi my name is vishal
For past 10 days i have been breaking my head on how to make column headers in table appear bold while datas in table appear regular from c# windows forms with sql server2008 using iTextSharp.
Given below is my code in c# on how i export datas from different tables in sql server to PDF report using iTextSharp:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.ComponentModel;
using System.Data;
using System.Drawing;
using System.Linq;
using System.Text;
using System.Threading.Tasks;
using System.Windows.Forms;
using System.Data.SqlClient;
using iTextSharp.text;
using iTextSharp.text.pdf;
using System.Diagnostics;
using System.IO;
namespace DRRS_CSharp
public partial class frmPDF : Form
public frmPDF()
InitializeComponent();
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
Document doc = new Document(PageSize.A4.Rotate());
var writer = PdfWriter.GetInstance(doc, new FileStream("AssignedDialyzer.pdf", FileMode.Create));
doc.SetMargins(50, 50, 50, 50);
doc.SetPageSize(new iTextSharp.text.Rectangle(iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Width, iTextSharp.text.PageSize.LETTER.Height));
doc.Open();
PdfPTable table = new PdfPTable(6);
table.TotalWidth =530f;
table.LockedWidth = true;
PdfPCell cell = new PdfPCell(new Phrase("Institute/Hospital:AIIMS,NEW DELHI", FontFactory.GetFont("Arial", 14, iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD, BaseColor.BLACK)));
cell.Colspan = 6;
cell.HorizontalAlignment = 0;
table.AddCell(cell);
Paragraph para=new Paragraph("DCS Clinical Record-Assigned Dialyzer",FontFactory.GetFont("Arial",16,iTextSharp.text.Font.BOLD,BaseColor.BLACK));
para.Alignment = Element.ALIGN_CENTER;
iTextSharp.text.Image png = iTextSharp.text.Image.GetInstance("logo5.png");
png.ScaleToFit(105f, 105f);
png.Alignment = Element.ALIGN_RIGHT;
SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection("Data Source=NPD-4\\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=DRRS;Integrated Security=true");
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("Select d.dialyserID,r.errorCode,r.dialysis_date,pn.patient_first_name,pn.patient_last_name,d.manufacturer,d.dialyzer_size,r.start_date,r.end_date,d.packed_volume,r.bundle_vol,r.disinfectant,t.Technician_first_name,t.Technician_last_name from dialyser d,patient_name pn,reprocessor r,Techniciandetail t where pn.patient_id=d.patient_id and r.dialyzer_id=d.dialyserID and t.technician_id=r.technician_id and d.deleted_status=0 and d.closed_status=0 and pn.status=1 and r.errorCode<106 and r.reprocessor_id in (Select max(reprocessor_id) from reprocessor where dialyzer_id=d.dialyserID) order by pn.patient_first_name,pn.patient_last_name", conn);
conn.Open();
SqlDataReader dr;
dr = cmd.ExecuteReader();
table.AddCell("Reprocessing Date");
table.AddCell("Patient Name");
table.AddCell("Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)");
table.AddCell("No.of Reuse");
table.AddCell("Verification");
table.AddCell("DialyzerID");
while (dr.Read())
table.AddCell(dr[2].ToString());
table.AddCell(dr[3].ToString() +"_"+ dr[4].ToString());
table.AddCell(dr[5].ToString() + "-" + dr[6].ToString());
table.AddCell("@count".ToString());
table.AddCell(dr[12].ToString() + "-" + dr[13].ToString());
table.AddCell(dr[0].ToString());
dr.Close();
table.SpacingBefore = 15f;
doc.Add(para);
doc.Add(png);
doc.Add(table);
doc.Close();
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("AssignedDialyzer.pdf");
if (MessageBox.Show("Do you want to save changes to AssignedDialyzer.pdf before closing?", "DRRS", MessageBoxButtons.YesNoCancel, MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation) == DialogResult.Yes)
var writer2 = PdfWriter.GetInstance(doc, new FileStream("AssignedDialyzer.pdf", FileMode.Create));
else if (MessageBox.Show("Do you want to save changes to AssignedDialyzer.pdf before closing?", "DRRS", MessageBoxButtons.YesNoCancel, MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation) == DialogResult.No)
this.Close();
The above code executes well with no problem at all!
As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
"Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
"DialyzerID".
However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
column headers in table in pdf report from
c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:
Given below is report which i have achieved from vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp
I know that there has to be another way to solve my problem.I have browsed many articles in net regarding exporting sql datas to above format but with no success!
Is there is any another way to solve to my problem on exporting sql datas from c# windows forms using iTextSharp to above format given in the picture/image above?!
If so Then Can anyone tell me what modifications must i do in my c# code given above so that my pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp will look similar to image/picture(pdf report) which i was able to accomplish from
vb6,adodb with ms access using iTextSharp?
I have approached Sound Forge.Net for help but with no success.
I hope anyone/someone truly understands what i am trying to ask!
I know i have to do lot of modifications in my c# code to achieve this level of perfection but i dont know how to do it.
Can anyone help me please! Any help/guidance in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I hope i get a reply in terms of solving this problem.
