ThinkPad W530 - 2447 3U2 - Base System Device unknown

Hi guys, I tried to install a fresh copy of Windows Enterprise 7 64 bits, in my new laptop. I reinstall all drivers recommended in lenovo support (all) but in device manager window continues with yellow Base System Device message.
These are the list of drivers installed:

The last driver was 8ass82ww.exe and the problem persist.

I think there is no OEM Ubuntu for Lenovo Thinkpad W530. In Ubuntu usually you do not need to collect drivers like in more common operating systems.
I do not have Ubuntu installed anymore, but on my W530 I have used Debian, Linux Mint, Ubuntu, and perhaps 2-3 others. Your solution will be similar to this:
If you can plug in your computer to an Ethernet cable, that will make the process easier. After you install Ubuntu, run Update Manager until no more updates. Then open Software Sources, choose repositories you want (I pick them all but not source code). Then open Software Manager or Software Center, Refresh (or update), install any updates it found.
If you know of particular hardware that is not working, try searching the Software Center for it. I always search for "Intel", "Lenovo", "Thinkpad", etc. That solves most issues.
It is difficult to completely answer your question because Ubuntu or Linux do not work the same as other operating systems. The problems you describe could be caused by not having configuration right, even if drivers are already there. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask again.

What is 'Base System Device'?

After working with my laptop for over two years, i encounter more and more problems but the weirdest thing is that suddenly it tells me that it found a new hardware called base system device, which should be installed.
I have no clue what that is, where to find the software or whether I need to install it at all. Can somebody please give me some advice here?

Firstly could you please post you notebook name?
Secondly: did you install the OS from the Toshiba recovery CD?
This image contains whole drivers and necessary tools and after the installation of the OS from the recovery CD no unknown device should appears in device manager
PS: Base system device is usually the SD Card Controller.

Base System Device driver in WIndows 7

I recently installed WIndows 7 on my Lenovo 3000 G430 system, and all the drivers except for a few got installed automatically during the installation process...
But then I noticed in Device Manager, I have 2 devices that are listed under 'Other Devices' that don't have a driver installed. I tried a direct search for drivers online, but it couldnt find any.
Both of them are by the title 'Base System Device'.
I checked the Lenovo wesite for drivers, but there are no drivers listed for WIndows 7. A few guys had raised this issue in the forum previously too, but they were not using Windows7, and I did not have this issue when I was using Vista...
Please help...

Try below to identify what components they are.
Check the Device ID to find our its description:
Right click the unknown device and choose Properties.
Go to 'Details' tab.
Choose 'Hardware ids' from the Property drop down list
Take the IDs and google them and find out the descriptions of the devices. You should know what you are missing.

Base System Devices missing for HP dv6500

Hello people!
I've 3 base system device drivers missing and an unknown device.
HP Pavilion dv6500
p/n= GT374EA#ABU
The original was VISTA and now I've installed windows 8.1 Laptop cannot detect CD/ROM, speakers, microphone etc…

Hello uesy,
It appears that you're missing some device drivers after upgarding to Win 8.1.
Unfortunately for that notebook, there were no drivers provided by HP after Windows Vista. The only driver support available would be what Windows installs for it during the install.
Have you already tried going into the Device Manager and updating the drivers there?
That would be the only other way.

I have Base System Device driver missing and wondered if someone could point me to the right direction. I have tried installing the Ricoh driver from the website to no avail. Tried many other from this site and others, still nothing :/

I myself have got 1xT420, 1xT520 and 1xW520 and I have never experienced any drivers missing after the intital run of System Update.

T500 Base System Device and PCI Device issue

Hello everyone,
I cant seem to find the right driver for the Base System Device. Earlier this morning, I had 4 ?s named Base System Device (under Other Devices in the Device manager). Once I ran the ThinkVantage System Update, the other 2 Base System Device have disappeared. How come I still have 2 listed that need to be updated? Also, the PCI Device has a ! sign. Any ideas?
I've already tried running the system update, and installed the Ricoh 4 in 1 card reader.

Missing driver for "Base system device" x2 after Windows 7 install on laptop

Upon upgrading to SSD drive and fresh installation of Windows Professional 64 bit, I have two conflicts in device manager referring to "base system device". Both devices are PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 67 device 0 function 1)
Both devices report the following code in system information:
PCI/VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_146D103C&REV_01/4&7ECE869&0&02E2
I have read through 16 pages of other people with simlar problems but not the same code. I have installed the Ricoh 5-in-1 reader for 64 bit software with no success. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Missing driver for "Base System Device"

I have a N200 (0769) with WIN7 (32 bit).
In the Device manager I have two "other devices" with missing drivers named "Base System Device".
I could'n find any of that.
I try looking for the Hardwar IDs:

The base system device is most likely your card reader.
Missing audio is related to something else.
On the bottom of your PC on the sticker with the serial number, please post your p/n.
That will identify the specific model of your dv4 and I can send you the link to the drivers.
The p/n should be arranged similar to this: AF846AW#ABA

Satellite A10: 'base system device' after HDD reinstallation

I have formatted my laptop's hard drive (Toshiba Satellite A10) and downloaded the necessary drivers from Toshiba Europe web site. Everything worked out fine. Then I decided to upgrade my network adapter driver (wrong decision) and it slowed down considerably the system.
Believing that I was holding the solution in my hands I formatted again HDD and when it came to reinstalling the drivers everything loaded ok except one:
BASE SYSTEM DEVICE
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Did you install the chipset utility?
If not, do that firstly before installing any further Toshiba tools and drivers.
i recommend you to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.
